Donna, Emma, Michael, Caleb, Aiden, Sydney, and Payton were in a Mearsy Hearse College gymnasium for their summer talent show. As they were looking around, they bumped into a curly-haired boy with drumsticks. "Sorry about that," Aiden said.

"That's alright," said the man. "I'm Guy, Guy Patterson. I'm filling in for Chad for our new group, the Oneders."

"What happened to Chad?" asked Michael.

"I know what happened," Donna recalled. "He-"

"-he broke his arm while jumping over a parking meter," Guy replied.

In a corner, they saw three other guys tuning up their instruments. "That's Jimmy Mattingly" Guy said. "He's a bit of a short-tempered j*** and our lead guitarist. My main man Lenny, he plays guitar too. And Tobias, he's shy and plays bass."

"I hope you guys do the best you can," Donna replied.

"Thanks," Guy replied.

Guy got on the drums and started getting ready. "This next group is a local group who calls Erie home!" shouted the emcee. "The O'eders!"

"That's the Oneders," corrected Jimmy angrily.

As Jimmy, Lenny, and Toby played slow, Guy started playing fast due to his love for jazz. People in the audience started pumping up and down because of the song. Even our heroes started dancing to it. "I hear it once," Payton said. "I can hear it again."

After the song finished, everyone cheered. "It was supposed to be a slow tempo," Jimmy growled.

"But his fast temp song won the contest," Lenny said. "Look."

They spotted Ms. Talent Show pointing to the Super Wicked part of the applause chart, meaning that they won the contest. "And all it took is me saying 'wonderful'," Guy beamed.

"Guy," shouted a blonde female, "where are you?!"

"That's just my girlfriend Tina," Guy explained to Jimmy. "She's waiting for me."

Tina was mad because they were supposed to go to a movie and dinner at the club tonight, but the talent show came up. "I think Tina is a j***," whispered Sydney.

Before Guy, Tina, and the Celestian Alliance could leave, Lenny caught up with them. "Guys," said Lenny, "we got a gig at Villapiano's."

"The pizza place by the airport?" asked Guy. "I'm in."

"Not only that," Lenny replied, "but one of our fans wants a record, but we can't afford one."

Then Guy remembered that his Uncle Bob was a church music producer, so maybe they could record their album there.
