Clark sat in his home office staring at the display screen he was waiting on Oliver and Bruce they had finally gotten through the documents and the computer's they found on the Prince Patrick Island. Jor El had limited success with the ship he ran into multiple levels of encryption it was just going to take time to gain entry to the ship. Jor El, Kara, Clark and Lana had a discussion about the ship, they decided to have Jor El keep at trying to access the ship and gain them entry without setting the destruction sequence off. Kara's comment about it being a Zod ship was proven true once Jor El saw the ship it would be hard to get inside and it would take a long time as well.

The frozen people turned out to both be brainiac copies according to Jor El, Jor El was not willing to access either crystal contained braniacs the risk of infection was to great until a secure crystal chamber could be built they were to remain in the crystal. Lana agreeded with Jor El the risk was too high. Clark listened this time seeing Lana's experience of being at the wrath of a manic computer program. The Justice League agreed with Lana and Clark it was too much of a risk until the ship could be opened and more could be learned about Jor El's corrupted constructs they were to remain in a stasis beam in the fortress.

"Clark are you there?"

Oliver, Bruce, and several top scientist entered the conference room Clark decided to let it slide "ok so what is the first cut on the records you guys analysised".

"Your not going to like this, and you need to tell Lana."

"Clark we found that just before Brainiac tried to take control of Chloe and then you destroyed him we thought the program had split itself in many copies." "We think there were over thirty copies at that time but Chloe had a ability to heal as you recall." "Her using it to save Lois from death depleted it mostly, we found out that she crippled all the copies with her ability and depleted it."

"She did something to all the other copies at the same time they can no longer merge back into each other and their abilities have weakened greatly because of it as well." "The copies can't use any of the powers they have shown in the past nor can they work collectively like they have in the past."

Clark sat there for a moment adsorbing the information "well then are they still a threat?"

"More so now, they are trying to do two things."

"They are trying to fix themselves and they are working on a clone project we suspect that they are trying to create a Lex body for Zod to inhabit."

"What" said Clark "they are still trying to bring Zod back?"

"Clark they never gave up what we didn't know is there were so many of them even without their powers they are still advanced computer programs they seem to be carrying out their primary instructions bring Zod out of the zone by any means possible."

"One of the devices we found seems to be a communication device from what Bruce's scientists can tell its some kind of trans dimensional device."

Clark could feel the chills forming on his neck and back as he heard this news. "Can I come and get the device Jor El will be able to tell us what it is and does".

"Sure Clark but there is more" Bruce said "we found out from the computer records that they have been using teams of researchers from all over the world." "The trail is a long list of dead people it seems what ever the goals were for a specific teams were once they were reached the team was killed off and the building was burnt to the ground."

"So no record exist of the work they were doing" asked Clark?

"We found records of all their work, they seem to be building a copy part by part of Lex." "They are planning on having Zod inhabit the body after they freed him from your Phantom Zone Clark." "The body part are just coded DNA material at the moment but it isn't normal human DNA." "The DNA looks like its had a couple of things mixed into it from what out teams can tell us" said Bruce.

"Well that just doesn't sound good" said Clark, a flash of purple white light was seen behind Clark as Lana appeared in her Nocturne outfit.

"Clark whats going on I can feel your mood falling whats going on baby" as she reached her husbands side. Clark sighed "it seems that brainac is still around there are over thirty of them and they have been crippled by Chloe s healing ability." "The worst part is they seem to be working on creating a physical body for Zod or are maybe cloning Lex again." Clark looked at the screen "do you guys have any good news" he asked?

"Oh hi Lana" said both Bruce and Oliver "nice to see you."

"Hi guys so is there any good news at all?"

"Yes, actually we have found hidden funding from the Luthor's which seeing we merged Luthor corp to our companies a while ago were going after that money and then were going to do a trace to see where the money goes to and from." "We know the remaining copies of brainiac are frozen in their current forms so we can now hunt them down and capture them we can hold them in strong magnetic fields as long as needed they go inert as Clark saw with high voltage and them a strong magnetic field and it keeps them inactive so we can at least capture them."

"Guys" Lana asked "they are computer programs and smart ones too can't they hack into any banking system and create what ever wealth they want?"

Both of the boys looked stunned at that though "um that's something we hadn't thought much about."

Clark smiled at Lana "that's my beautiful wife guys and she has proven her intellect many times over too."

"Can't doubt that Clark."

"Yea she sure is" as he kiss Lana, Lana smiled at all of them but held Clarks gaze for a moment too long "hey you two lets get back to the meeting."

"The most disturbing thing we found was the research notes seems the frozen brainiac see's himself as a oracle of Zod they have been working on several plans to release Zod from the zone." "Then we found out that they have been behind the clone ships we even found a couple more of those ships."

"We think that we have seen the last of them the only bright spot is brainiac can no longer communicate with Zod said a smiling Bruce." "The communication device we found was the only one he had." "Zod is isolated and no longer able to talk or issue orders to his minion."

Clark had a idea Lana felt the smile before it was on Clarks face, "I have a idea to piss off Zod."

"Oh, whats that" asked Oliver.

"I'll let him know we have taken down the last of his minions and he will remain in the zone forever."

"What will that do" asked Bruce?

"One it will piss him off and secondly the son of his greatest enemy telling him he's never getting out will break his spirit." "That will be the killing blow he will get sloppy and hopefully his followers will turn on him." "Knowing Zod offers hollow promises and maybe one of them will destroy Zod's spirit form and we never have to face that threat again."

"Clark we haven't taken him all down yet."

"That's the simplicity behind this plan we have the only device to talk to him he'll never know what the truth is and well, how can you dispute a claim like that when your source of information is unavailable anymore."

"I think I get it, I like it Clark that's a great idea it will have all his followers at his throat in no time."

"I will also have Jor El can add his condemnation as well." "That should turn any remaining Kryptonian soldiers Zod has against him." "Then what ever happens is the phantom zone stays in the phantom zone" smiled Clark.

Lana looked at her husband "I like your idea when did you get so sneaky and underhanded she asked?"

Clark smiled "remember I did learn a thing or too from my one time friend Lex he was the master at turning the screws and making someone hurt." "What I'm suggesting is a small part of the pain Lex would have dish out."

"Well I like it too, if this will break the spirit of his followers then all the better" said Bruce. "I'll have the device at my estate tonight Clark you and Lana can come over to collect it and maybe visit for a little bit" asked Bruce?

"Sure" said Lana "were not bring the kids however it would mess with their schedules a little too much." "What about the rest" asked Lana?

"Well we have a handle on the money train were going to be on the look out with facial recognition software to find the remaining brainiac copies were going to have to develop a weapon to take one of him down." "The holding system will have to be created and a final destruction of the program will have to be done as well we don't want to leave something like that waiting around for our ancestors to have to deal with."

Lana got up off Clarks lap after breaking her kiss "I have to go back to work boys have fun" she smiled as she disappeared in a flash of white light.
