"What kind of dreams are you having?" Mitsu asked. Riku looked to the ground and motioned her to walk with him back to the others. Mitsu nodded and began to walk with the teen back to the others.

"Well...it begins with a door with no handle and a man dressed in black...I see him but I can't see his face," Riku began as they slowly walked the beach. Mitsu remained silent as she listened to the teen and how similar his dreams were to hers.

" I remember you, Kairi and Sora being in the dream but we're all lost from one another and the weird key shaped weapons…" Riku trailed off and laughed a little.

"It sounds silly doesn't it?" Riku asked and ran a hand through his hair.

"No...it doesn't" Mitsu shook her head. The dream that she told Sora was only part of what she dreamt about. She too dreamed of the key shape weapons and places she had never visited but all of it seemed familiar and foregin to her.

"It doesn't sound silly at all…"

"You've dreamt of something similar right?" Riku asked.

"A little bit...but it's hazy," Mitsu replied.

"I wonder if they mean something of just the mush of stuff we learned in school," Riku sighed and stopped.

"It could be?" Mitsu nodded in agreement despite the fact she felt different about her dreams as well as his. She stopped a few feet in front of him and turned to look back at the teen. "Are you ok-?"

Mitsu watched at the teen reached up a plucked the island's native fruit from a tree. He turned to inspect the fruit before he looked at her with a small smile, instantly the girl's ears turned red.

"Riku..." Mitsu started.

"I'm grateful for you not laughing at me. I felt a bit silly talking about my dreams but I felt that it was important to tell you...thank you," Riku began as he held the fruit out in front of her. "Wanna share this with me?"

"R-Really?" Mitsu stuttered.

"You do know the story behind it right?" Mitsu asked, her cheeks now stained a faint rosy pink.

"I know it, I was the one that told Kairi…" Riku trailed off. "If you share it with someone they'll stay in your life forever,"

Mitsu nodded at the story or rumor she was told about the Paopu fruit. She her rumors about couples and how they shared it between one another but not many friends shared the Paopu fruit with one another.

"Are you sure you want to share that with me?" Mitsu asked nervously.

"I am holding it out for you to take am I not?" Riku tilted his head at the girl. Mitsu pursed her lips together as she eyed the star shaped fruit and then to the teen.

"Here," Riku said as he broke a piece off and handed it to her. Mitsu took the piece of fruit and waited till Riku took a bite of it before she followed.

The fruit had a slight crunch to it as they bit into it, followed by the sweet and tangy like citrus taste flooded their mouths as they consumed half of the fruit.

"Wow it's sweeter than I thought it was going to be," Mitsu said as she continued to eat.

"Yeah it's like that at first," Riku replied as he finished his piece.

"RIIIIIKUUUU!"

"Miiiitttssssuuuu!"

The two teens turned their attention towards the voices that called out for them.

"Looks like it's time for us to head to bed for tomorrow," Riku said softly.

"Yeah, I'm excited for tomorrow," Mitsu commented as she began towards their friends with Riku next to her.

"I am too,"

An hour later the four teenagers were in their tree house attempting to sleep for their big adventure tomorrow morning. They all bubbled with excitement except for one person who had already fallen asleep.

"He sleeps like a log," Mitsu commented as she watched him from her sleeping bag.

"Yeah…the only thing is…is that logs don't talk or eat as much as Sora does," Kairi said as she laid on her purple sleeping bag. Mitsu stifled her laugh trying not to wake up Sora, Kairi giggled. Riku listened to the two girls talk from the entrance of the tree house.

"Looking at him is making me sleepy," Kairi yawned.

"You should sleep," Mitsu replied.

"I think I will…you can tell me what happened tomorrow," Kairi said as she made herself comfortable on her pillow.

"Kairi, no." Mitsu frowned as she looked at the red-haired girl across from her.

"I'm just pulling your leg. Good night," Kairi said as she covered herself with her purple sleeping bag. Mitsu scoffed as she got comfortable in her blue sleeping bag, she noticed that Riku hadn't moved from his spot by the door.

"Aren't you going to go to bed?" Mitsu asked. Riku's bright blue-green eyes focused on her before he gave her a small grin and nodded.

"I'm going, don't worry, mom," Riku replied sarcastically.

"I'm not old enough to be your mom. You're older than me," Mitsu replied, Riku scoffed in return.

"Night," Mitsu said quietly.

"Night…" Riku trailed off.

Sweet dreams…Mitsu

Hours later Mitsu was suddenly jolted awake by an enormous stream of energy that shot through her. She groggily looked around to see if the others were awake and found the treehouse empty.

"What's going on…where is everyone?" Mitsu asked as she quickly got out of her sleeping bag and slipped on her shoes.

The familiar wave of apprehension and hopelessness washed over her and threatened to swallow her into the dark abyss. Black clouds filled the skies over Destiny Island, the clouds threatened to break open and releasing all of the water that had accumulated inside of them down on their small haven.

"They must be securing the raft," Mitsu said as she carefully climbed down the ladder from the treehouse. She ignored the clawing feeling of dread that had followed her from the treehouse and the other side of the island. She had to make sure that everyone was safe, once she knew that they were safe they would seek shelter inside the grotto until the storm had passed.

As she ran to the other side of the island she caught a glimpse of Riku on the Paopu fruit tree island that caused her to halt in her search for the others.

"What is he doing? He should be-" Mitsu thought to herself and stepped forward and nearly stepped into the dark ink like pools that had bubbled up around her. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a black shadow lunge at her on instinct Mitsu dodged the attack. The small creatures circled Mitsu all of their golden luminescent eyes bore into her, another creature tried their chance at attacking her, she dodged again. All of the creatures lunged at her at once.

"No!" Mitsu screamed and attempted to shield herself from the attack. Before any of the creatures could injure her they were destroyed.

"Mitsu!"

"S-Sora!" Mitsu stuttered as she looked at the boy and the key shaped weapon in his hand. Sora held out his hand to help her from the ground.

"Are you ok?" Sora asked as he hugged her.

"I'm fine…what's going on? what are those things? Where is everyone?" Mitsu blurted out.

"I don't know…Kairi is missing and Riku I don't know where he is," Sora replied.

"I know where Riku is…Kairi I don't know," Mitsu replied.

"We have to find them. Something is definitely wrong! If you come across any of those creatures, Run!" Sora warned her as he gave her a firm look.

"I know that I'm out matched, don't worry. Go find Kairi,"Mitsu said and darted toward the smaller Paopu fruit island as Sora ran towards the hidden grotto.

"Ri-Riku!" Mitsu ran up to him breathless, Riku continued to look forward at the angry blackened colored ocean.

"Mitsu…" Riku began

"Riku we-" Mitsu stopped in mid sentence as she noticed the blackened ocean and in the distance the same lifeless luminescent eyes that bore into only moments ago in the distance. They seemed to focus on her and Riku.

"It's like he said...the door is open...we can leave," Riku continued as he turned around to face her, a smirk on her lips.

"R-Riku what do you mean? We have to go-" Mitsu began when suddenly her oddly shaped necklace began to glow faintly.

"The door to other worlds…" Riku started when suddenly an inky black portal opened underneath him. Black tendrils rose from underneath him and a dark aura seemed to wrap itself around the teen.

"R-Riku…there's-" Mitsu stuttered as she stepped back in shock.

"Come with me Misu...," Riku said quietly as he stared at her

"Go with you where? What the hell are you doing we have to help Kai-" Mitsu started as she felt a jolt of energy shot through her again. She spun around to look at where the secret grotto was located. Mitsu gulped feeling dread slowly snaking around her.

"Mitsu…" Riku said softly, his gaze soft as he extended a hand for her to take. Mitsu looked at the teen's hand and then to his blue-green eyes, there was something inside of her that urged her to go with the teen and in her heart, she wanted to go but she hesitated.

"I…" Mitsu started as she felt herself losing control of her movements. Her eyes dulled as she reached out to take his hand and began towards him. Riku watched as she took his hand and stepped into the ebony inky pool, he pulled her into his embrace in the distance, he could see Sora as he ran towards them.

"Riku! Mitsu!" Sora shouted as he ran. "No!"

Sora watched helpless as his two friends sank into the dark inky portal, Riku's gaze was soft as he looked at the now unconscious girl he cradled. Just before the two completely sunk into the portal Sora noticed the steely look Riku gave him.

"Riku! Mitsu!"

"I hear him calling…but…I can't… respond…Sora…"
