Against his better will, Yue followed the two teens in case they did run into trouble in the search for their friends. He had already come to the conclusion that their friends were not in Traverse Town, he and the others would have already found them during their patrols.
He watched from the balcony of one of the shops as Mitsu and Sora fought the heartless, the two teens spun around each other as they fought and dealt the final blow to the heartless that surrounded them. Much to his surprise, the two managed to subdue the heartless without too much trouble.
"We did it," Sora grinned ear to ear. Mitsu gave him a slight shove and smirked.
"You make it seem as if we weren't going to do it," Mitsu commented. "Sheez, have more confidence in me,"
Unbeknownst to the gloating teens, a Heartless managed to slip away to lay and wait on a chance to attack. The two teens were distracted and gave a chance for the heartless to attack, it's target was Sora. Mitsu turned her to see a Heartless lunge at Sora.
"Sor—" Mitsu started but was cut short by the Heartless being destroyed, Sora spun around to see Yue behind him with an abnormally long obsidian lance. The teenagers looked at the lance in awe for a moment before they were interrupted by clapping.
"A splendid job you lot did," a man's voice echoed through the alleyway.
"To think we would get to see you use your lance outside of Cerun," another voice lower in tone came from the alleyway. Yue sighed and crossed his arms as he turned away from the alleyway, his lance seemed to melt and vanish into the ground below. Mitsu and Sora focused their attention on the alleyway and the two men that came from it.
Two men dressed in suits.
"Talk about formal," Mitsu muttered under her breath. As she sized up the two men, the taller of the two wore a toothy grin, his citrine eyes nearly matched his short slicked back hair. The other shorter man was stoic, bright icy blue eyes and his purple hair pulled back into a neat ponytail.
"Who are you guys?" Sora asked. The shorter man with purple hair nodded towards Yue.
"Perhaps our good friend Yue could tell you,"
"These guys are the King's men we mentioned earlier," Yue scoffed.
"The what? That's really them?" Sora asked surprised. "They look really fancy,"
"Yes that's really them," Yue replied with a sigh. "They bring some sort of trouble with them,"
"You're a cute one," the citrine eyed man began. "And who might you be?"
"M-My- name I-is M-Mitsu," she stuttered, he smiled.
"What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl, I suppose I should introduce myself as well. My name is Shige," Shige replied and gave her another charming smile.
"T-Thank y-you," Mitsu replied meekly.
"This chap over here is Yasuto," Shige began and placed a hand on the smaller man's shoulder, almost immediately the man known as Yasuto shrugged off the man's hand.
"He's sort of a stick in the mud," Shige whispered to Mitsu. Yasuto glared at the taller man and turned to Mitsu and Sora, he silently looked them from head to toe before he turned to Yue.
"Were you even planning on contacting us about the Keyblade wielder?" Yasuto questioned. Mitsu and Sora looked at one another and realized that Yasuto spoke to their silent comrade.
"Why contact you when I knew you were going to show up at some point. Besides the knowledge that I have isn't common," Yue shrugged. "And you mean Keyblade wielders,"
Shige and Yasuto looked at each other confused at the man's statement before they both focused on Yue.
"Two Keyblade wielders?" Shige questioned and tilted his head to the side.
"Yeah, we both have keyblades and Mitsu has two so maybe you can explain—"Sora began when a high-pitched shriek echoed followed by guttural roar. Mitsu looked to Sora as he did to her and nodded.
"You sure?" Mitsu asked.
"It could be Kairi?" Sora replied uncertain.
"There's only one way to find out," Mitsu nodded. Without another word, the two teens darted off towards the shriek.
"Wait—"Yue sighed and began after them.
"We just arrived and things are already going to shit," Yasuto sighed. Shige chuckled a bit next to the man as he began after the three.
"Perhaps we do bring bad luck where we go," Shige smirked as he began to jog to catch up with the others. Yasuto sighed heavily as he unhurriedly followed after them.
Mitsu and Sora came to a halt in front of large armored creature that loomed in Traverse Town's Time square, there were no remnants of people or Kairi around.
"She's not here," Mitsu commented as one Keyblade appeared in her hands and then a second one.
"It…was just I was hoping that maybe…" Sora began as his Keyblade appeared in his hand.
"We'll find them…let's just help everyone out. I'm sure we'll run into them," Mitsu suggested despite the fact that she had no clue if they would run into their friends or not. She knew that she had to be optimistic, to be positive and just hope that they would cross paths with their missing friends
"Stuck?" Yue turned to see Shige and Yasuto as they finally caught up with him.
"Something like that," Yue replied as he knocked on an invisible barrier in front of him.
"It seems planned if you've been barred from entering," Shige commented as he knocked on the barrier as well.
"It could very well be planned but I'm sure not many know about them," Yue replied. Yasuto stood quietly as he watched Mitsu and Sora already in battle with the large armored heartless.
"But it does seem like we have too many onlookers," Yasuto commented and looked over his shoulder at the heartless the slithered in the darkness of the walkway behind them. Yue scoffed at the mass heartless that had gathered in the alleyway, it seemed as if it was planned but he was sure that no one knew of the newly debuted Keyblade wielders.
"Enough dilly dallying, let's show these blokes we're no push over and hope for the best that those two won't require assistance," Shige said and cracked his knuckles.
Sora barely avoided and lost his footing as the giant talon like fist coasted pass him in an attempt to grab him. Quickly the young teen regained his footing and retaliated with a flurry of attacks. The quick succession of attacks rendered the giant talon fist useless and to explode into light. As Sora focused his attention on the arms of the bulky and enormous suit of armor, Mitsu focused on the foundation of the suit of armor, the legs in an attempt to slow down the heartless.
Her steps were sloppy but her aim and attacks aimed true as she avoided the spikes protruded from the shin guards of the legs. Even though the two were inexperienced with their weapons, they worked together to bring down the heartless. One after the other they destroyed the last leg and arm until what remained was the torso and head.
The two teenagers stood next to one another and readied themselves for the new form of the heartless.
"How are you feeling?" Sora panted as he remained focus on the heartless.
"I'm fine. You?" Mitsu asked a smirk on her lips.
"I'm perfect," Sora replied.
Mitsu scoffed at Sora's response causing the teen to laugh, the large mouth of the heartless opened and screeched loudly and caused a gust of wind to beat around the two teens.
"Uh oh…" Sora huffed.
"It's just the head and the torso we can do this," Mitsu said firmly. Sora stole a quick glance at the girl next to him as she spun her keyblades. She was focused and determined to defeat the heartless in front of them even though they had just learned about being a Keyblade wielder and the responsibility they held.
With a firm nod, Sora took his friend's determination and resolve to prepare himself for the battle.
"Yeah, of course!" Sora replied with a grin on his lips, Mitsu nodded and smirked as well.
"A full out attack," Mitsu said as she eyed their foe. They quickly looked at each other before they dashed forward.
Yue flourished his lance as he defeated the last heartless that attempted to rush them in the alley way. He then turned his attention to the two men whose attention had been captured by the teens and their battle..
"Believe it or not, they handing that heartless its entire ass," Shige whistled as he continued to watch.
Yasuto watched in silence. Yue joined the two men as they watched the two teenagers fight. The torso of the heartless spun erratically towards the two teenagers, Mitsu crossed her keyblades in front of her and managed to catch a spike long enough for Sora to deliver a critical strike to the torso, thin front of her as a shield blocking the spikes of the Heartless. Sora jumped from behind her dealing a critical strike to Heartless' torso, the torso fell to the ground stunned.
"It's stunned!" Sora shouted.
"Let's finish it!" Mitsu yelled excitedly.
"I think those kids are way too excited for this," Shige commented.
"They are fine," Yasuto replied. Yue glanced at the two King's men and quickly turned his attention back to the two teens, specifically Mitsu, she had a faint glow around her as she and Sora charged the Heartless.
Sora charged the heartless from one side whilst Mitsu charged it from the otherside. Attack after attack the heartless fell to the relentless attacks of the teens, suddenly the two teens jumped back and charged, their keyblade sliced through the heartless.
An explosion of light nearly engulfed both Mitsu and Sora, just as quickly as they explosion of light happened one of Mitsu's keyblades seemed to absorb the orbs of light that remained.
"Woah…" Sora said as he looked at the ghost trail of Mitsu's keyblades as they dissipated from her hands. Mitsu shrugged unsure and uncertain as to why her keyblades absorbed the light, Sora shrugged as well. .
"Well, that is definitely not normal," Shige commented as the barrier that prevented the three men from being at the teen's side vanished.
"Definitely," Yue added. Yue took a moment to steal a glance at the silent purple haired man next to him. Yasuto glanced at Yue and then back to the girl, he too could see that there was some completely off about the girl in addition to the fact she wielded two keyblades.
"Things are about to get more complicated," Yasuto sighed.
"Are you ok Mitsu? You look really pale?" Sora asked worriedly. Mitsu gave Sora a small smile and nodded.
"I'm ok..." Mitsu replied and tried to reassure him but in hindsight she felt faint.
"Alright you lot, you all have some explaining to do," Shige began as he stood in front of the teens. Mitsu and Sora looked up at the man and then to Yasuto and Yue.
"I think it's best if we returned to Cid's shop to rest up," Yue suggested and began towards Cid's shop.
"To think that you're the living legend," Shige commented as he looked Mitsu from head to toe.
"I guess? I'm just me," Mitsu replied as she sipped her hot drink.
"We don't really know anything about this person...so can you tell us more about them?" Sora spoke up, Mitsu nodded in agreement.
"Well…" Yasuto began. "There is a legend but some of it has been forgotten with time,"
"There has been a rare few that have been able to wield two keyblades that's for sure. All those who have keyblades have been chosen...and the fact that they are able to wield two..." Shige trailed off.
"So it's like Leon said...I er...we were chosen to wield the keyblade," Sora said as he turned to Mitsu, Mitsu nodded.
"It's been years since there was someone capable of wielding two...I wonder if his Majesty would know anything about them,"Yasuto commented.
"The legend of the dual Keyblade-wielding warrior appeared during…the great keyblade war. They supposedly sacrificed themselves to stop the evil behind the first keyblade war," Yue began. "I can only assume if the war would have happened it would have unleashed darkness unto all of the worlds,"
"I am surprised you know that?" Shige chuckled.
"I'm surprised you don't," Yue replied flatly.
"You little-" Shige began.
"Didn't you say you didn't know anymore than what you told us earlier?" Sora questioned the blue eyed man..
"The same thing, more words," Yue replied. Mitsu and Sora crossed their arms as they looked at the man unamused at his attempt to withhold information from them.
"It's a legend that isn't spoken about and it hasn't been for quite some time. Because there is no proof of this person existing," Yasuto spoke up.
"No proof? How? Mitsu is right here," Sora replied.
"Back then there was no proof...in any case there is proof that someone is capable of wielding two keyblades but…" Yasuto trailed off. "What does the sudden appearance of two keyblades mean?"
"That's a bit ominous Yasu, don't scare the children," Shige chuckled.
"You never know, sometimes history repeats itself," Yue added.
"Thanks for your confidence in me. You two are very helpful," Mitsu huffed.
"I am just being realistic," Yue shrugged.
"OH GEE. THANKS,"
