Update
Hey there, people of the Internet. I realize that I haven't updated this story in quite a while and for that, I apologize. I just, every time I look at my page of stories on this site, I see this thing that has remained without any updates and I can't help but feel a little guilty.
I pretty much gave up on it in 2017 and haven't written for it since. I just got busy with other stories and school and trying to find a job, yack, yack, yack. I really do regret quitting this story now, as I did enjoy writing for it. I was really excited about what it was building up to and I couldn't wait for certain things that I had planned.
Um, I'll admit that Spider-Man stories aren't my thing. I love Spider-Man (comics, movies, T.V. series, and video games) to death, but I just struggle in writing a story that I can consistently keep afloat. Case in point, Advanced Spider-Man (another story that I tried to write twice, or maybe three times). Obviously, all times failed and now, that story is discontinued indefinitely.
I think it's just that I was a little too ambitious with some of the ideas that I had for that story (I mean, how does Harry and Mary Jane eventually gaining spider powers sound?). I'm sure that it sounds outlandish, but at the time, I just wanted to do something different. Anyway, I digress. As I said, I loved this story.
I think the 90's animated series is objectively the best T.V. series, it's definitely my favorite. It's up there with Spectacular and even The New Animated Series, if anyone remembers that one. I'd even wager that Ultimate was good, I only watched the first and part of the second season and it was okay.
Sorry, I'm getting a little off topic. I'll get to the point. I loved writing this story, I had so much stuff planned for it and I was excited for it all. However, it's a little hard to write for this story, when I don't have access to the show so that I have something to work off of. And I can buy it digitally, but if it's available on a streaming service (such as Disney Plus, to my knowledge, at least) I really don't see the point.
I've stated several times now that I love this story and now it's gonna seem like I'm doing a complete 180. I'm cancelling this story, discontinuing it. And I'm doing that because I want to give it another shot, but I want to give it a fresh start. I am willing to admit that this story had its issues and I want to give it a do over.
So, I hope to improve it. And if I ever get Disney Plus, then I can go the step further and try to actually finish this thing. As of right now, I'm at least willing to write up a new version of the first chapter and post it for anyone who would want to read it. But if I actually get people who actually tell me that they want this story to continue, then I'll keep writing it. So, with that being said, thanks for listening! Have a great day and bye.
