Title: A Horse is A Horse (or The Fervor in Flicka)

Author: DianeB

Rating: G

Summary: Booth is curious.

Author's Note: My fourth Bones fic, and not a very big one. I've been binge-watching my DVD collection of Bones, and when I got to S3E3, "Death in the Saddle," it reminded me of a kernel (er, pun intended) of a fic idea I'd had when the episode first aired a million years ago. For reasons best left unexplored, the words came pretty quickly this time. Written February, 2020. Undying thanks as always goes to Brenda, my Mighty Editor Goddess.

Disclaimer: I own nothing of Bones. I'm only having fun with characters I love.

oOo oOo oOo

Booth had seen some strange stuff in his lifetime, but this really beat all.

Two days after having arrested Anne Marie Ostenbach for the murder of Ed Milner, Booth found himself on his couch in front of an FBI-borrowed laptop, asking a search engine for more information on "pony play." Not being very good with computers, he thought it might take him a few tries.

Nope.

The search brought up no less than 182 million hits. Okay, not all of them were about the particular subject he was looking for, but most of them were, and they included plenty of video.

Clicking around on a couple festivals at the top of the list, including a leather one in San Francisco, he was astounded by the depth of the, well, what? Obsession? Perversion? Pleasure? Fetish? Fascination? Fancy? Sheesh, he thought, the synonyms could go on and on, and nothing he had seen at the Ambassadora Lodge came anywhere close to what he was seeing online. And it only served to cement his assertation that these people were not only nuts, but clearly – a little too clearly – lacking in their talent for good sex.

It only took him about a second after that to jump to mental images that immediately made him wish he had not succumbed to his curiosity about this particular role-playing fantasy. And only a second after that to come to a clear-cut conclusion:

Max Keenan would definitely not care for the look of Bones in a bridle.

End.
