Naruto x Sakura
Rather be...Jack? Me!
Sakura ran to his like he's the only one in the world.
Naruto was happy, but also sad.
"You only like me because of Sasuke. Your always in competition with him." Sakura's words burn like fire.
Naruto walked away from the happy friend and the annoyed brother he had.
"Naruto. Don't be a Jack now." Then there was Kakashi.
"A what?"
"Something Asuma told me when we were training. You know the story of the Green-eyed monster?"
Naruto shook his head.
"It's a monster of yourself, or reflects you, and what YOU want. A jealous part of you." Kakashi explained.
"Like Sakura and Ino being jealous of each other over Sasuke." Naruto did understand a lot.
"Yes. And that name, Jack, is a name of guys who like the same girl but one was her best choice and the other...not so much."
"You mean like you were bad for Rin?" Naruto asked.
Kakashi nodded. "She didn't know what was right in front of her. And I saw it and tried to not get involved. But after losing Obito, I just couldn't leave her alone. And I couldn't give her what she wanted or thought she wanted. Not after he confessed to her while dying. And on my birthday. Giving me his eye, it's the promise I made myself about her."
But it wasn't enough.
"What do I do? Sakura thinks-"
"Then prove her wrong." Kakashi says.
Naruto didn't know how but what could hurt.
He ran back to find Sasuke and Sakura at the ramen shop eating. Or Sasuke eating and Sakura crying.
"Why are you crying pretty girl?" Naruto asks pulling a chair up. But Sakura punches him and runs off.
"She's unstable when in that mood dooffus." Sasuke said sipping a glass of water.
Naruto stood up and grabbed Sasuke by the collar. "Listen here! She loves you and if you don't care enough to see that then YOU ARE AN IDIOT THAT SHOULD DIE!" He yelled in his face then ran after Sakura. He cared for her WAY too much to be a Jack and let Sasuke do this to her.
How could he treat her like this?!
"Sakura! Wait!" He shouted after her.
She slowed her pace to a stop as Naruto caught up to her.
"Sakura. Are you okay? What did he do?" Naruto asked.
Sakura was still red in the face from crying.
"Come on. Here." He hugged her. Sasuke never liked Sakura the way he did. Maybe he was Jack.
"I don't want to be." He mumbled.
"What?" Sakura asked.
"Something Kakashi said. About being Jack."
"The name of the ninja who used his skills for jealous reasons and got hundreds of people killed in the hidden rain village?" Sakura asked.
Naruto sighed. "He didn't tell me that."
Sakura laughed. "Thank you, Naruto." She said hugging him back. "For everything."
Oh hell! Naruto wanted to be Jack! He loved Sakura and that wasn't changing one bit.
