It was the night of the school formal when Elizabeth, or known to most as Betty, Lodge saw him for the first time. Archie Andrews. The line backer from the other school's football team. The moment the two started talking, she felt a instant connection. The only problem was Archie was a broke orphan and Betty was from the wealthiest family in Riverdale. She was the oldest so she knew she had to marry rich.

As she watched him from across the ballroom, her sister Veronica grabbed her arm. She pointed at Archie and said, "this one's mine."

Betty had no words. So she made her way across the ballroom to him. "Hello Archie," Betty said.

"Nice to see you again," Archie said. She grabbed his arm and started pulling on him. "Where are you taking me?"

"I'm about to change your life," Betty said.

"Then by all means lead the way," Archie said, with a smile that made Betty swoon. She lead him back to Veronica.

"Veronica Lodge," she said.

"Lodge?" Archie asked.

"My sister," Betty said.

"It was a good game tonight," Veronica said.

"If it takes losing the championship for us to meet it will be worth it," Archie said. Veronica then blushed like crazy. Betty smiled and left them alone.

Two years later, Betty was at Archie and Veronica's wedding. She was the maid of honor. She though she suppressed her feelings for Archie. She was married to Forysthe Pendleton Jones III. Her mind kept going to that night they met and the conversation they had.

Betty stood up and clicked her glass to get everyone's attention. "I'd like to make a toast to the groom," Betty said. "And to the bride. From your sister, who is always by your side."

Betty looked at Archie. At least I still have his eyes in my life, Betty though.
