Here's the next chapter. Was gonna do the Time Pig Paradox, but ultimately, got bored with it, and decided to skip on ahead to the episode 'Fight Fighters'.
And trust, me some of you are really going to like a certain something, that'll make an appearance in this chapter.
Chapter 10
Arcade Mania
Yesterday, by far, had to be the weirdest thing that's happened yet. According to Dipper, he and Mabel met a time traveler named Blendin Blandin, from the year twenty snevty something, and used a 'time tape measurer' to try and fix his mistake with Wendy and prevent her and Robbie from hooking up. Don't get me wrong, I don't like the guy one bit either, but, it's her choice and I'm sure she'll know when something is up, if not then we'll step in. But I was glad to hear that Dipper ultimately did the right thing, and let it happen so that Mabel wouldn't get all depressed from loosing her new pet pig, Waddles. Heck, thanks to the pork chop, I posted the video of Robbie's skinny jeans shrinking on the internet, hell the views just keep on coming since then.
But honestly, I didn't expect on what'd happen next.
The Gravity Falls Arcade now comes into view with Soos leading the way for Stan, Adam, and Mabel.
" This is it, dudes. My favorite place in Gravity Falls. Everything I know, I learned right here. " He then lead them over to a few arcade games and one of them was a game called Frog Time. " A frog taught me, how to cross the street. " They move onto a rip off game of Mrs Packman called Ghost Maze. " When my house was haunted, I learned how to eat ghosts. " They then stopped at a third game. " And this thing taught me how to dance. "
Surprisingly Old Man Mgucket was seen playing the game. " Whoo-hoo-hoo! " Old Man Mgucket cried out dancing like a prospector not even touching the arrows. " I've been jiggin' for seven days straight! " Mabel then noticed something on the floor, it was the plug for the game.
" Uh, Soos? " Mabel spoke up in confusion as they now noticed the game's been out of order for a while now.
" Let him have this. " Soos said putting the plug down onto the floor while the crazy old man continued to laugh like a maniac.
Elsewhere, Stan stumbled upon a brand new game called Insert Token! Which seemed a bit like a stupid title for a game. Curious to know what would happen Stan inserted a quarter into the machine. Then all the sudden the game announcer spoke up. " Congradulations! You Win! " At one moment the old man was happy and was expecting something, but instead he only growled in anger seeing that it was just something used to cheat people out of there money.
Meanwhile Adam was looking through the various selections, such as Area 51, Space Invaders, Metal Slug, and spotted an arcade game covered in a tarp with a for sale sign on the front. Curious to know what lied underneath it, the teen lifted up the tarp and was shocked to see the arcade was actually going to sell his favorite game, for only 400$ no less. " Hmm, maybe. Maybe. " He said sounding like he'd put in a little more thought before making the purchase.
He turns around to spot another familiar arcade game that was still there, making him all excited. " Oh cool, The House of the Dead 3. Been a while, since I've played this, wonder if I still got it? "
" Ha! You're going down! "
" Yeah, we'll see. " Adam turned around to see Dipper and Wendy playing an arcade game called Fight Fighters, it was basically just a cheap knock off of Street Fighter, he knew it cause apparently the ones who made the game suffered a huge lawsuit, and only a few of the games were still left.
" Hi guys. " He went over to greet them.
" Oh, Hey, Adam. What's up? " Wendy asked not taking her eyes off of the screen.
" Nothing much, I see your playing Rip Off Fighters. "
" Shush! " Dipper said to the blonde as he watched it do down. " Ah! Oh! Watch out! Whoa! Ooh! Cut scene! "
Rumble: " Dr. Karate you killed my father again! "
Dr Karate: " HHHGHHH! "
Rumble: " You take that baaackkkk! " The fighter Dipper was playing yelled out dramatically.
" Pfft, lame. I'm gonna go shoot zombies. " The blonde said before inserting a few quarter for the house of the dead 3 and laid some on the side and began to play. Meanwhile Dipper and Wendy continued to duke it out, but it didn't last very long cause Dipper had won.
" K.O. Winner! Rumble McSkirmish! "
Rumble: " Winners don't lose! "
" What? You cheated. " Wendy joked and Dipper played along.
" You take that baaackkk! " The boy said imitating his fighter laughing slightly.
Game Announcer: " Round two! "
" I'm gonna punch the ref. " Wendy said as the next round began and they tried to hit the reff, but they really couldn't.
" Let's gang up on him. " Dipper encouraged as the two continued to fool around having a good time. But, it didn't last very long cause nearby Robbie was hanging up fliers for his band, and heard two familiar voices.
He quickly came over to them both. " Wendy! What's up babe? " The emo asked now souring up Dipper's mood as the game was put on hold for him to brag. " Yeah, just puttin' up some fliers for my band. I'm lead guitar. No biggie. "
" Are you wearing mascara? " Dipper asked pointing to the flier that showed the emo wearing what Dipper said reading: Robbie V and the Tombstones with the title, You're Dead underneath, glaring and pointing at the audience.
" Uh, it's eye paint for men! " Robbie corrected.
" No it isn't. " Adam countered still playing the game and was now on level three, showing he still had the skills to play it making him scoff.
" Whatever. "
" Oh, Hey, Robbie. Dipper was just showing me this great game. " Wendy said seemingly unaware of how much of a jerk her boyfriend was being.
" Ah, yeah, sweet, sweet. " Robbie said seemingly to ignore what she said and put himself right in between the two before pushing Dipper away. " Hey, how's about you sit this one out, 'kay, champ? " He then cracked his knuckles.
" But...we just started this round. " Dipper protested.
" Whoa, whoa, whoa. " The emo said putting his hands up in defense. " Hey, relax, man. I'm just trying to spend some time with my girlfriend, alright? "
" It'll be just one round. " Wendy reassured the boy before the couple began to play leaving Dipper to watch from the back with Adam watching the whole thing go down in the corner of his eye. " So, hey, I'm going camping tomorrow with my dad. so I won't be around. "
" Oh, cool, cool. Watch out! " Dipper could only watch on as the two continued to play while he wondered why did she have to go out with the emo. Only moments later he brought her closer to him. Without even the redhead knowing he quickly glanced over to Dipper giving him a glare that Dipper returned. This would only begin a battle, one waged between the young boy and the emo that'd drag out through the next coming days of summer.
Game Announcer: " Opponent sighted. Fight! "
Now inserting Gravity Falls opening theme music
We first see a view of trees with a water fall in the distance followed by the gas station that has the large wooden lumber jack near it before we see the Gravity Falls water tower.
Before long we see a Speedy Beaver bus drive off dropping the twins in front of the Mystery Shack with Stan appearing like a magician and motions over to the building as the S of the building falls off.
Adam now comes into view giving the twins the tour showing off different attractions before it shows the trio with Stan out in the rain examining a bigfoot footprint that's inside of an even larger footprint.
A brief forest trail is shown in speed motion with bigfoot running through as it shows the weather vane on the mystery shack that has a question mark and four letters, w,h,a & t spelling out: What?
DIPPER
We see the boy holding onto a candle holder using it to examine some strange symbols in some kind of cave before turning around and was frightened to see a demon skeleton causing him to drop the candle.
MABEL
The female pine twin is rubbing her cheek against a pig for some reason before it shows her wearing a sweater that illuminated thanks to being plugged into an outlet.
STAN
The twins great uncle is shown running while holding onto a cash register not caring if money is flying out of it before it shows him sitting on his recliner and shifts his eyepatch over to the other eye.
ADAM
The blonde is seen reading books about the supernatural before it shows him smiling giving an 'okay' sign while holding a magnifying glass in the other hand.
As it begins to end we see the Stan telling everyone a spooky story around a campfire with Soos, Mabel and Dipper buying into it while Wendy nudges Adam with her elbow and rolls her eyes as their unaware that massive bat is seen watching them.
We see Wendy at the counter near the cash register with a glass jar full of eyeballs looking at the viewers, followed by Dipper examining the symbols in the journal while Adam is seen with a pair of eyes right behind him. Then finally we see Adam and the twins minding their own business before everything suddenly begins to float making the Dipper and Adam exchange a quick glance at one another.
Finally we see multiple photo's fall until it shows a picture the main Mystery Shack crew posing in front of a tree with a hole in it with Adam seen kneeling down with his arms right over the twins shoulders before we see the main title.
Theme end
Like normal, the next day came. And right now, everyone at the shack, minus Wendy who was camping that day, was playing poker. The people playing, consisted of Stan, Soos, Dipper, Adam and Kylie who was actually wanting to hang out with the gang, while Waddles the pig watched on from a seat next to his owner Mabel. For the currency, they were using crackers as a substitute since they didn't have the actual chips.
" King me! " Mabel said as she placed down two kings onto the table.
The others groaned and moaned, throwing their cards into the air while Mabel laughed and took all the crackers.
" Dang, Mabel, you got mean luck. " Kylie commented the female twin. " Like genius level luck. "
" It's not fair! " Stan complained. " She doesn't even know what we're playing! "
" Go Fish? " Mabel asked innocently before all the sudden music was being heard playing from outside causing the lights above the table to shake.
" Uh, what's going on? " Kylie asked in confusion.
" Dude, I think I'm picking up a radio station inside my head. " Soos said as he picked his ear,
" Try blinking and to see if you can change the channel! " Mabel encouraged making the handyman do it but nothing happened until they heard a familiar voice coming from outside.
" Weeendy! " They all heard it.
" Sound's like Robbie. " Dipper said placing a hand on his head, much to his dismay and annoyance.
" Oh great, that dumbass here is now? " Adam added cause he was greatly annoyed by his presence as well.
" Robbie? Is he that jerky twerp I see making goo-goo eyes at Wendy all the time? " Stan asked.
" He called me 'Big Dude' once. " Soos said. " I mean, I know I'm a big dude, but it kinda hurt. "
" Should I sic Waddles on him again? " Mabel asked petting her pig that began to chew on the sleeve of her sweater. " Whoa, easy tiger. "
" By any chance is the guys last name Valentino? " Kylie asked.
" Wait you know him? " Adam asked looking over to the young boy.
" Oh yeah. That jerk always caused a ruckus at me and my dads store. Until I banned him. That guy's a piece of work. "
" Well, someone's gotta go out there. I'll do it. " Adam said but all the sudden Dipper shot up from his chair.
" No, I'll handle it. " Dipper volunteered earning making everyone else minus Adam talk about how their was gonna be conflict, but the blonde decided to follow and keep a safe small distance. Just in case something was gonna happen.
Dipper exited out of the house and walked towards Robbie. The emo was playing his guitar, singing horribly while one foot was perched on an amplifier.
" Wend! Wendy, Wendy! " He then stopped, but wouldn't acknowledge the male twins presence despite standing right in front of him. Instead he just shouted. " Wendy! C'mon out, girl! C'mon down! "
" You realize she's not here right? " Dipper asked with his arms crossed shooting the emo a glare.
Robbie scoffed. " Yes...What? "
" She's out camping with her family today. " Dipper told him and muttered under his breath. " Maybe if you listened to her, for once, you'd know that. "
" What was that? " The emo heard him.
" I just said she's not here. "
" No, no, no! You wanna get into it, huh? " Robbie set his guitar aside the amplifier. " Let's get into it, kid! You think I don't know what's been going on, huh? It's obvious you've got a thing for my girlfriend. Don't you? Don't you! " The emo said poking him in the chest causing Dipper to take a setback.
" What?! No! Come on, man! " Dipper denied despite a faint blush on his cheeks.
" Yeah, I'm sure she just dying to ask out a 12-year-old kid who wears the exact same shorts everyday. " Robbie said sarcastically and pulled out his phone. " Hey, here's an idea. Why don't I call her right now and see if she wants to go out on a date with you? " He then started dialing beginning to make Dipper freak out, do to being insecured about his feelings.
He began to stutter. " Hey, look, don't...You don't have to... "
" Uh! Don't! Please, man! " Robbie mocked and was ready press call. " What are you gonna do? Huh? Huh? " He questioned and pressed call. " Uh, what? What? " He said holding the phone up in the air. Once Wendy's voice was heard, Dipper jumped up and slapped it out of his hands flying into the air and landed on the ground breaking easily. " My phone! " The emo shouted before glaring at Dipper.
" I'll...I'll buy you a new one. " Dipper stuttered.
" Oh, no, you're not getting off that easy. " Robbie said gripping the boy by the collar.
" Hey, hey! " Adam spoke up coming out from the shack. " I saw the whole thing go down. Take it easy, we'll get you a new one. So stop acting like a brat. "
" This ain't got nothing to do with you. " The emo sneered.
" It does actually, you're messing with my friend, and you are on our property. " The blonde countered. " So get the hell out of here. Besides, what Wendy think when she here's that her boyfriend is beating up a kid? " He asked saying the last part with a raised eye brow and a grin, showing he had multiple guns/ways to make him leave all loaded.
" Fine! " Robbie said in defeat before throwing Dipper against a set of trashcans. " You me, Circle Park, 3:00. " Robbie told him and punched a fist into his palm. " We finish this. " The emo then walked away, while grabbing his guitar and amplifier in the process including what remained of his phone.
" You okay? " Adam asked and the only response he got from Dipper was a look of fear. Then Stan came around with a bucket full of popcorn.
" Aw, he's gone?! " The old man asked in disappointment. " I was just gonna call the boys up to place a few bets. " He eats some of the popcorn. " The smart money's on Skinny Jeans. "
" You are a terrible uncle Stan... " Adam said shaking his head in disappointment.
We now cut back to the inside were everyone was playing poker and was told of what had happened.
" What was I thinking?! " The boy asked in worry as he paced back and fourth in front of the table. " I can't fight! " He was clearly panicking. " I've never been in a fight before! Look at these noodle arms! " He said waving his arms.
" Just bonk him over the head! It's natures's snooze button. " Stan suggested.
" Boy's... " Mabel spoke up. " Why can't you learn to hate each other in secret? Like girls do. " Mabel said.
" Sure, listen to your sister. " He then begins to snicker. " Maybe you can share dresses too. " He then laughed before slamming both fists on the table rattling everything. " Boom! "
" Maybe, he'll just forget about it. Maybe it'll all blow over. " Dipper said hoping that would be the option.
" I don't know, Dipper, teenagers are dangerous. " Soos spoke up. " Those hormones turn them into, like, killing machines. "
Hearing this now made Dipper more nervous. " R-Really? "
" Oh yeah dude. My cousin got into a fight with a teenager once. The guy broke, like all his arms, all his legs, and I think he killed him or something, I don't know. Me and Reggie were just talking about it. "
Dipper's breathing then began to increase as he backed up placing his hand over his heart. " I can't stay here. What if Robbie comes back? I gotta hide! "
" Look, kid. " Stan spoke up. " You got yourself a choice here. You can either go face him like a man, or you can hide indoors like a wimp. " He crossed his arms looking to his great nephew. " What'll it be? " He asked a very serious and simple question.
" Actually, she's got a point. " Kylie spoke up. " I can't remember how many people I hate in secret. There's so many. "
The inside of the arcade comes back into view with Dipper seen hiding underneath a pinball machine that Soos was playing. " Wimp it is! " Soos answered Stan's question from earlier.
" Oh come on Dipper! " Adam as he went over to the boy and began to lecture him. " You can't just hide and expect your problems to go away. You gotta face your problem that you right now! "
" Come on, Addam, Robbie's, like, twice my size! " Dipper said as he got out from his hiding spot.
" Yeah, but technically you already been a fight. With Gideon, remember? "
" That's cause he was around my size! " The male twin said. " I mean, what would getting myself killed accomplish? I just need to hide here, until 3:00 passes. " Dipper said as he walked over to a table and looked at his watch that read 11:29, meaning he had at least five and half hours before it'll happen. He then sighed, and put his head on the table. " This day will never end. "
" Relax, Dipper. Just try not to think about Robbie. " Soos said trying to calm him down but he gasped upon seeing many fliers for his band.
" Okay, no-no-no. " Adam spoke up and made Dipper look at him. " Look, Dipper, I'll go with you. But you got own what you did and apologize, even though the guys a total ass hole. Now we got a little while until it's time. So I'm gonna get the phone, and I better not have to find you. Understand? " He got a nod in response and walked off to what needed to be done.
Meanwhile back at the Mystery Shack Mabel was watching some sort of talk on tv talk show sitting on the recliner upside down with Waddles right next to her and Kylie laying on the floor against the chair.
" Girl! Why you ackin' so cray-cray? " A womans voice was heard from the tv. "
" Why You Ackin' So Cray-Cray? will be back in a moment. " The tv announcer said.
" Geez, there's barely anything on. " The boy whined and looked over to Mabel while petting her pig. " You okay? "
" Yeah, I just feel sorry for poor Dipper. Hiding from Robbie. Unable to face his fears!"
" Well, Adams right, he's got to face them. " Kylie said with Stan overhearing their talk.
" Fears are for chumps! " The old man said while trying to fix the antler for the jackalope for his exhibit. " That's why I don't have any. " He goes over to a cabinet trying to reach for some glue but couldn't get it.
" You want me to go get a ladder? " His great niece asked walking over to him with Waddles and Kylie in tow.
" We don't have one. " Stan quickly replied.
" What? " She was greatly confused as he continued.
" You know, studies show that keeping a ladder inside the house is more dangerous than a loaded gun. That's why I own 10 guns. In case some maniac tries to sneak in a ladder. " Hearing his explanation just didn't seem to add up.
" Grunkle Stan, why you ackin' so cray-cray? " Mabel asked.
" You're the one who's ackin' cray-cray! " Stan retorted. " I gotta go now. " He then left the room leaving them alone.
" Well that was just weird. " Kylie commented.
" Why would Grunkle Stan be so weirded out by ladders? "
" Maybe he's afraid of heights? " The boy guessed shrugging his shoulders.
" Of course! That's it! We'll have to test him to be sure. Or we could leave well enough alone. "
" Are we? " Kylie asked.
" Naaaah! " Mabel replied.
" Well, it's settled. I'm in. "
Back at the arcade Soos was seen playing a game that resembled Tron called Nort with his avatar falling down. " Man, I wonder what it would be like, to inside a video game for real. " Soos said in wonder before getting an idea. He went into the back and was currently unscrewing the cover with a power drill. He then removed the cover. " I should've thought of this, years ago! " The man said before trying to squeeze his way inside.
Elsewhere Dipper was playing Fight Fighters to pass the time until it was time to go. " Stupid Robbie. Such a jerk. " He grumbled before picking his favorite character.
Game announcer: " Round 1. FIGHT! " Dipper began to play the game, but with everything on his mind, he couldn't play right and lost the round. " K.O. CONTINUE? "
Rumble: " A WINNER NEVER RUNS AWAY FROM A FIGHT! "
Hearing what his character said made Dipper sigh. " That's easy for you to say. You have more than one life. " He then checked the time and saw that it was 12:04, meaning he had three more hours to go. " I wish one of these guys could fight Robbie for me. " As he was gonna put in another quarter he suddenly dropped it and the coin rolled to the side. As he went down to pick it up, he noticed something in the corner but it was hard to make out. " Huh? " He rubs off the dust and dirt to read it. " 'To unleash ultimate power'? I do like things that are ultimate. "
He puts in the quarter and does as the inscription said with the game controls. " Back, back, hold, forward, back, forward, down, hold, quarter circle forward, triple punch! " He did as instructed and then the screen suddenly shut off. " I guess it didn't work. " As he said that the game began to shake starting to scare him and backed up a little. " Uh, Soos? " He called out to his friend, but no reply as a bright flash emitted from the screen.
Game Announcer: " Select your character! "
" Uh... " He was unsure of what to do but made his choice. " Rumble McSkirmish? " Once that was said the game emitted more flashes of light and much to his shock something amazing happened.
" Feet-feet-feet-spinning-kick! " Rumble materialized out of the game doing a spinning kick and did a badass landing with his fist cracking the floor looking right at Dipper. Once the light settled down, the male twin looked at Rumble in amazement and leaned in.
" You're real? "
Both: " High five! " They both exchanged it but Dipper immediately regretted it. " Ow! Your pixels are really sharp! " He began to sooth the pain while Rumble stood back up.
" GREETINGS, CHILD-BOY! I AM RUMBLE MCSKIRMISH, FROM THE USA. " He did a few moves. " PUNCH! KICK! PUNCH! KICK! " Rumble accidently kicks Dipper in the cheek.
" Ow! Cooool! " The boy said as he watched the fire approach a change machine.
" CHANGE MACHINE! CHANGE ME INTO A POWERFUL WOLF! HWAAGH! " He punches the machine destroying it
" With Rumble around, Robbie will be so scared I won't even need to fight him! " Dipper said now realizing his wish came true, and he found a way out. " I've got the worlds greatest fighter to be my bodyguard. "
Rumble then begins to beep red. " I need power-ups! "
" This is so amazing! I gotta show Soos. " He then realized he wasn't around. " Soos? "
Back with the Nort arcade game, some guy was about to play but freaked out upon seeing the handymans face in the screen.
" Help! I'm trapped in the game! It was cool in theory but in practice it was really boring. " Instead of trying to help the guy screamed and ran in fear. " It's not just a game anymore. " Soos said in a serious tone.
Back at the Mystery Shack Mabel was plotting something.
" Alright, Waddles and Kylie. " The female twin began. " It's time to begin Operation Get-Stan-Over-His-Fear-of-Heights! " The pig oinked in agreement.
" I came up with that name. " Mabel said as they went over to her great uncle.
" A bit to long though. " Kylie said as they entered the room to see Stan was asleep in the recliner with the tv still on.
" Gift. " Mabel held out her hand with the boy giving what she requested. Happy Great Uncle's Day! " Mabel shouted on the top of her lungs scaring Stan awake.
" Huh? There's a Great Uncle's Day? " He asked making her laugh while he took the gift.
" Of course it's not a day I made up! " Mabel said with Kylie elbowing her for almost giving it away while he opened his gift.
For some reason the gift he got, were a pair of red high heels. " High heels? You shouldn't have! " He dropped the attitude and grew confused. " Seriously. What? What is this? "
" What's wrong? " Mabel then began to play her role. " Are you saying these heels are too high? Do they make you feel uncomfortable? Hmm? "
" Maybe. " Stan quickly answered as he went over to the tv.
" Admit you have a fear of heights! " Mabel demanded while he was fixing the antenna's to get a signal.
" What? That's why you bought me these? You should be ashamed of yourself! And on Great Uncle's Day, no less. " He shook his head in disproval while Kylie wasn't really buying it.
"Then, how come you didn't want the ladder? That's got to mean something. " The boy pointed out.
" No it don't kid. I don't have a fear of heights. " Stan replied as the tv finally got a signal.
Announcer: " We now return to World's Most Terrifying Skydiving! "
Seeing this immediately scared Stan as he back up in terror. " Turn it off! " He tripped over the t rex skull landing on his back with the two kids looking down on him. " So what If I got a fear of heights. Is that so cray-cray?
Meanwhile inside the kitchen.
Dipper was looking through the fridge for something to substitute a 'power up' while Rumble was trying to kill a fly.
" Well, we don't have any traditional power-ups. " Dipper said scoping through it. " Turkey legs, pizza boxes, or gold rings. How about half a taco? " The male twin asked bringing the food out.
" Place it on the floor. " Rumble instructed which Dipper did. He then kneeled down and with a beep the taco disappeared and apparently he equipped onto himself as a weapon.
" I wish I could do that. " Dipper said in amazement.
" Now I must defeat the worlds greatest Fight Fighters! Take me to the Soviet Union! "
" That's gonna be tough, for a number of reasons... " Dipper said since the soviet union fell in 1991. " But I do know a fighter here in Gravity Falls. "
Hearing this made Rumble kneel down. " Maximum power? "
Now that this was happening, Dipper brought out one of the emo's fliers. " His name is Robbie V, and he's kind of like my arch enemy. "
" Did he kill your father? "
" Well, he's dating the girl I like. And he posts a really annoying amount of status updates. "
Rumble crumbled the paper. " And then he killed your father? "
Uh. Sure. " He answered not realizing what'd he done. " Anyway, I was hoping you could, you know scare him off for me. So I don't have to fight the guy? "
Rumble laughed at his request. " Your question makes my shoulders bounce! Fireball! Uppercut! " He fired off a fire ball destroying the window and punched a whole in the ceiling. " Downercut! Bowl of punch! " He then drank a large bowl of fruit punch and threw it down shattering it.
" So you'll protect me from Robbie? " Dipper asked sounding very hopeful.
" Challenge accepted! Press start! " Rumble requested as a start button appeared and a door was heard opening.
" Uh-oh. I think I hear my uncle! Stay perfectly still! " Dipper told the video game character, but he kept moving in the same fighter position. " I said stay still. "
" This is still! As I can stay! " Rumble explained.
In the attic Mabel was still trying to come up with a plan to help her great uncle while Kylie sat down and Waddles fast asleep.
" How are we gonna help Grunkle Stan get over his fear of heights? " Mabel asked pacing back and fourth.
" We could just trick him. " The boy suggested.
" That could work. " The female twin said before Dipper entered the room.
" Hey, Mabel, Kylie. Have you met Rumble yet? He's my new bodyguard! " Dipper introduced the fighter.
" The child gave me a taco! "
" Wow! He's got a crazy voice! " She grabs a card and writes down something. "Here, say these words! " She passed Rumble the card.
" Effervescent! Apple fritter! Riboflavin! "
" Mabel, he's not a toy, he's a fighting machine. I'm going to get him to defend me from Robbie. " Dipper explained.
" Isn't that kinda like cheating? " Mabel asked.
" I guess so. " Dipper answered. " Well, I'll see you after the fight. "
" Poop! Poop and butts! " Rumble shouted for some reason which was most likely what Mabel wrote down. As for Kylie he was just practically speechless with his jaw down in shock.
Dipper with his new bodyguard were now seen walking down town.
" Tell me my opponents special moves! " Rumble demanded.
" Don't worry. As soon as he sees you, he's gonna wet his pants. " Dipper said sounding a bit confident.
" His wet pants will be no match for this! " Rumble busts out a pipe.
" Whoa! Where'd that come from? "
" I punched an oil drum! " Rumble answered.
" Trust me, you won't need that. Just give him a good scare. "
" Yes! " Rumble threw aside the pipe and picked up a katana lying in the middle of the street? " With this! "
" This street has really dangerous litter. " The male twin commented.
" There you are! " A familiar voice said. " I've been looking all over you. " Adam said in exhaustion. " I thought we had an agreement? But, whatever. I got the phone. Now let's get...going. " He paused upon seeing Rumble and looked over to the male twin who smiled sheepishly. " A word please? " The blonde gestured and so Dipper did as he was told with Rumble following. " Not you, a talk between us, in private. "
" Of course stranger! " Rumble replied leaving them be.
" Dipper, what the hell is that? " He asked pointing to game character.
" It's Rumble McSkirmish. "
" Yeah, I know who he is! I just wanna know how come he's in reality! "
" There was an inscription on the side of the video game, I entered the code for Maxium Power and then Rumble came out. " Dipper quickly explained. " But don't you see?! I got a bodyguard! So it's fine! "
" Dipper it's not fine! " The blonde countered. " I left you alone with Soos, and you did something stupid? Just so you could avoid something instead of finishing it? Dipper, that's just being a coward dude. "
" I know! I know! But don't worry! After this is all done, we'll find a way to put him back in the game! I promise! " The twin said making Adam sigh in defeat.
" Fine. Let's just get this done and over with. And also, you owe me four hundred bucks. "
Stan comes back into view again drinking from his favorite soda watching tv. As he was doing this, in a very creepy way, Mabel came up from behind him.
" Hey, Grunkle Stan! " The girl greeted scaring the crap out of the old man spitting out his drink and walked out in front of him.
" Hi how you doing? " Kylie greeted coming out of hiding. " How would you like to take a walk, nowhere in particular, while wearing a blindfold? "
" Eh! " He shrugged his shoulders. " Beasts just sitting around being old. " He said getting up. " Wait a minute.. " He paused sitting back down. " You're both not planning on taking me somewhere supper high up, are you? "
" Grunkle Stan, " Mabel fake gasped. " I would never. " She then put on a sweater with a scouts honor symbol on it. " Scouts honor. "
" Alright, lets' go. " Stan said getting out of his chair while Mabel chuckled evilly, the reason why was because on the back of the sweater were two fingers crossed, meaning she lied, untucked her long hair and covered it up.
" Heheh, Mabel, I swear, you'd defiantly would make a good actress. " Kylie chuckled evilly as well before they both caught up.
Dipper and Adam both arrived at Circle park with the bell tolling heard, and sitting on the bench was Robbie.
" Well, well, well, " The emo said spotting Dipper. " look who decided to show up. " He said before walking over to them. " I thought you'd chicken out. You ready to settle this like men? "
" No Robbie, " Adam spoke up. " Dipper's here to apologize, and we bought you a new phone to replace the broken one. "
" Oh no, he's gonna get it. " Robbie said rejecting the peace offering. As Adam was gonna say something, Dipper cut him.
" Look, dude, I don't think you want to fight me. Let's just call this thing off before someone gets hurt. "
" You scared, huh? Is that it? " The emo asked.
" Okay, dude. You asked for it. " Dipper snapped his fingers and Rumble came out.
" Who's your friend? And why is he...blurry? " The emo asked now noticing something was weird with the fighter.
" This happens to be the greatest war that ever lived. " The boy answered.
" Yeah, right! " Robbie wasn't buying any of it. " Hey, Eyepatch! What did the kid promise you? More tape for your forearms? " He asked sarcastically and laughed.
" How can you laugh when you killed this boy's father!? " Rumble inquired
" Wait, what? " Robie asked sounding a bit confused while Adam was looking at Dipper.
" Dipper what the hell is he talking about? "
Instead of answering the male twin ignored him. " I'm giving you one last chance, back down, or this guy's gonna go nuts. "
" How about you back down, kid! " Robbie countered poking him in the chest.
" You asked for it. Rumble, go! " He gave the fighter the signal making Robbie laugh but quickly ducked to avoid a punch.
" What the... " He quickly tried to run away bit Rumble grabbed him by the hoodie and then lifted him up above him. " Whoa, whoa, whoa! Wh-wha-what is happening?! "
" Uh, Dipper... " Adam spoke up having a bad feeling of where this was going to go but he kept ignoring him.
" I didn't wanna have to do this, man, but you gave me no choice. Maybe now you won't mess with me... " He stopped cause Rumble slammed Robbie on the ground, really hard, hard enough to make the emo spit out dirt. " Whoa! Rumble, you can stop! I think Robbies had enough! " But the fighter didn't listen and picked him up.
" Rumble, throw! " He threw Robbie high into the air making Dipper panic.
" Dipper! Make him stop! " Adam yelled.
" Stop! I said stop! " The boy shouted but he still wouldn't listen. In the distance Robbie had landed back down, on some metal bars.
" Wh-What the...That guy's crazy! " The emo yelled out before Rumble fired off a energy projectile.
" Fireball! " Robbie quickly got out of the barbs in the nick of time as the energy blast hit the barbs creating an explosion and then he began to run.
" What the heck was that?! " Dipper asked. " You were only supposed to scare him! You almost killed him! "
" I will no rest until the man who dishonored you is destroyed! " The game character said before punching one of the emo's fliers hung up on a tree cracking it, and began to chase him. Along the way he punched a tree making it tumble down and in the distance he did an uppercut. " Punch! " He made a telephone pole go down.
" Dipper what the fuck did you do!? " Adam asked in a really pissed off voice. " What did you even tell him?! "
" H-He asked me if Robbie killed my father, and I only thought he was just messing around! I swear! " The boy answered with Adam taking in a deep exhale and blew out to calm himself down and got really serious.
" Dipper, you go track down Rumble. But first, what was the thing you did to bring Rumble to life? "
" Uh, there was a writing on the game that, with a combo. " The male twin explained. " Back, back, hold, forward, back, forward, down, hold, quarter, circle forward and triple punch. "
" Got it. " Adam then began to run.
" Wait a minute...Where are you going?! "
" To get some help! " Adam replied back continuing to dart his way to the arcade while Dipper went to go find Rumble.
While Dipper was trying to get Rumble to stop Adam had just arrived at the arcade all out of breath ignoring the looks he was getting from everyone. Immediately he went over to the games that were for sale. " Come on, come on...please be here" Adam said looking through the tarps of the covered arcade games until he found what he was looking for.
" Yes. " With a smirk, he approached the arcade game and plugged it in, turning on the power. " Let's see. What was it that Dipper said the code was? " He questioned. Oh right, I remember now. " The blonde said before putting in quarter into the machine. He then did exactly what the male twin did with his arcade game. " Back, back, hold, forward, back, forward, down, hold, quarter circle forward, triple punch! "
The screen suddenly died down and then the arcade game began to shake, before it emitted a bright flash of light obscuring his vision.
" Select your character! " The game announcer cried out making the blonde excited as he grinned despite the bright light in his eyes.
" Let's do this... "
Outside of the arcade, Adam made his choice and a powerful wolf howl was heard coming from inside the building.
Elsewhere in Gravity Falls, Mabel and Kylie had brought Stan up to somewhere he didn't want to be at. The water tower, still wearing his blindfold.
" Take, off your blindfold now! " Mabel instructed her great uncle for which he did and was horrified.
" Yeah, that's pretty much what I was expecting. " The old man said.
" You're doing better then I thought! " Mabel said happily. " Now let go of the handrail. "
Instead Stan was scared shitless and was shaking in fear. " Nope. "
" Oh boy...what'd we do? " Kylie asked facepalming himself and smell the air. " Mabel, do you smell anger and hormones? " His question was answered as Robbie came up looking like he was out of breath.
" Finally! I"m safe! " The emo said in relief.
" Hey, Robbie! Get your own water tower! " Mabel demanded.
" Shh! Keep it down! He'll find us! "
" Challenger sighted! " Rumble shouted and upon seeing him Robbie screamed with Soos's truck screeching to a halt.
" Time to save the day, dude. " Soos told Dipper who quickly got out and ran over to the fighter.
" You can hide, but you cannot hide! "
" Rumble! This has to stop! Please, listen to me! " Instead the fighter began to attack it.
" What was that?! " Mabel asked in fear feeling the tower shake.
" Oh boy. " Stan's fear was increasing as the tower kept shaking.
" We're safe! Right?! " Mabel asked holding onto the railing.
" Of course not! This thing is on stilts! High, high up! " Stan replied before the tower began to tilt, this caused Robbie to fall right into Rumble's grip.
Game Announcer: FINISH HIM!
The fighter reeled his fist back. " No, no, no! Don't! Don't finish me! " Robbie said in fear but he wouldn't listen and was about to end it. But then a quarter came flying out of nowhere hitting him in the head.
Then for some reason it all seemed to turn into a cutscene making him whip his head over to where it came from. " Rumble! " Dipper finally got his attention and put his head in between some boards making it look like a cutscene and threw them aside approaching the fighter. " Rumble, I have something to tell you. Robbie...Robbie didn't kill my father. "
He gasped in shock. " Then who did? "
" What? No one did. I lied to you. "
" Huh! Then you're actually a bad guy!? "
" I guess I kinda am. " Dipper admitted making Rumble place Robbie onto a branch, turning around and took a moment take in all that's happened.
' My entire journey, a lie. My honor has been insulted. Sensei warned me not to join the path of evil. The boy has led me astray from my teachings. ' " If Robbie V is not the last stage, then it must be...YYYOOOUUUUUUUUUU! "
" Rumble! Stop! " Adam called out getting his attention. " Dipper, realizes the mistake he's done. If your really a warrior, then where your honor? He's only a child. "
" The boy has insulted it, and I must redeem myself! "
" Very well. " Adam said. " But I ask this, why fight him when you can have a real challenge? " The blonde asked.
" Who? Will you fight in his place? Because I will have my honor restored! " Rumble did just that before a powerful howl was heard. Afterwards in a bright blue flash of light landed right next to Adam. It was a werewolf, but it wasn't any normal one.
Seeing this made, Dipper, Robbie, and Soos gasp in shock.
" Dude...no way... " The chubby handyman said in shock upon recognizing the character right next to Adam.
" Rumble McSkirmish, meet my old friend and the one you'll be fighting...John Talbain. "
" Hmph! You're game is so outdated. I'll beat you with even trying. " The American martial artist replied cracking his knuckles.
" Don't count on it so easily, cheap knock off. " The werewolf countered and then all the sudden a start button appeared right next to Adam.
" Go get him. " The blonde said as he then pressed it and immediately the area became a fighting game setting. Each character's health bars were then displayed above the with their names underneath taking their fighting sprite positions.
" READY...FIGHT! "
Rumble made the first move and charged forward using one of his moves. " Fireball throw, lightning ball throw, fire! " He fired an energy blast that John easily avoided. Rumble then tried to kick the werewolf but the monster blocked it and grabbed the fighter rolling up into the air like a tire and slammed him into the ground inflicting a little damage to him.
The fighter got back up and punched the wolf and followed it up with a kick sending John back a bit on the ground. But he quickly got up and charged at Rumble coating himself in blue energy landing a hit and went back.
Rumble fired off another energy attack but John darted up using his beast cannon again and tackled Rumble before doing it again. As he was gonna land another attack the martial artist landed an uppercut.
The fighter then coated himself in red energy. " Fist punch rain! " Multiple game fists came raining down forcing John to go on the defensive at while at the same time dodged a few of the attacks.
Once the werewolf finished blocking the attack John emitted a howl and used his Dragon cannon making a spiral of dragons made out of energy hit Rumble sending him up into the air taking out more of his health putting both fighters on their last slithers of health.
" Never underestimate that I have punches! "
" That's the cheapest character line I've heard. " John said blankly before Rumble raised his fist that was coated in energy meaning he was gonna use his special move.
" John! Mirage Body! Do it now! " Adam yelled out to the video game character. In response to what was gonna happen the werewolf howled cutting off the fighter as the area around them became all dark and cloudy with the moon now seen, this was John's Mirage Body. So seizing the moment the werewolf attacked the American martial artist savagely preventing him from using his special move doing a number on his health. As the sky returned to normal the werewolf leaped high into the air and used his beast cannon to shot forward landing the last blow sending him crashing into a tree.
Game Announcer: " K.O! " Once his opponent was John howled in victory while Rumble was laying on the ground in disbelief. " JOHN TAILBAN WINS! "
" How can this be!? BUT WINNERS NEVER LOOSE! " Rumble said in sheer shock.
" And that's why you learn from loss and grow stronger. " John told the fighter. " Perhaps by the next time we meet, you will know the meaning. Have some dignity, or whatever remains left of it. "
Game Announcer:" GAME OVER! "
" What? " All the sudden Rumble began to dematerialize. " No! No! NNNOOOOO! " Until there was nothing left.
" Game over, old friend. " Dipper said tilting his hat to his favorite fighting character while Adam went over to his.
" Thank you so much, John. "
" It is no trouble. " The werewolf replied before his body began to dedigitize as well. " My time is up now, farewell, Adam Winters. " He said before he disappeared.
" You to old buddy...you too. " As everyone began to make their leave all the sudden all the sudden a high score board appeared. As Dipper was gonna enter his initials, he paused and looked back to Adam,
" You know what...you earned this Adam. " Dipper said letting the blonde teenager enter his initials through the digital letters. So the teen entered ADD making Soos chuckle.
" Nice one dude. "
Meanwhile up at the water tower, Stan, Mabel and Kylie were still on top of the water tower.
" I'm sorry, Grunkle Stan! " Mabel apologized. " I thought this would help but I was wrong! So wrong! "
" And I can't believe this is almost the second time I sure I was going to die! " Kylie spoke out his thoughts before Stan suddenly began to calm down and felt himself.
" I survived! " The old man said in realization. " I survived and I feel great! Wait, let me do a cocky dance, just to be sure. " He did just that and laughed proudly. " Deal with it world! Stan Pines has cured his fears of heights! " He cried out proudly and began to make his way down the ladder with Kylie in tow. However they stopped noticing Mabel wasn't following.
" You coming, kid? "
" Mmm-mmm. " Mabel shook her head.
" Hey, what's the matter, you got a fear of heights now? " He laughed but realized he was right. " Uh-oh! "
" We'll help you down. " Kylie said as he went over to help his friend.
" Dude, I never knew you were a Darkstalkers fan. " Soos said as they made their way back to Robbie.
" I always have been. I literally love the game itself, ever since I was kid. "
" And I'm guessing John Talbain was your main go to character? " Dipper asked.
" Oh yeah, that's why I choose for him to help. I figured you'd tried to fight him, or something. So naturally, it takes a game character to beat a game character. But, now, after what happened to day. I'm defiantly buying it. " The blonde said as they spotted the emo trying to get off the branch.
He then looks over to the male twin. " Well Dipper, even though you caused this and the whole town being wrecked, this all happened because you wanted to hide and face the problem. But now, are you gonna finish this and take it like a man? Or, are you gonna stay a whimp?
" I'll do it. "
" You sure? Cause he looks really pissed. " The blonde noticed testing to see if he was gonna do it.
" I am, I gotta own this. " He said before stepping forward while Adam nodded his head in approval while Robbie got down off the branch.
" What? W-who-who was that guy? A-and that werewolf? " Robbie said still freaked out by what just happened. " Why is it that whenever you're around weird there's always ghosts, or monsters, or whatever? "
" I don't know man. " Dipper answered.
" That guy almost broke my neck! You know how mad I am right now!? " The emo yelled
" So I guess, you and I have to fight now? Huh? " Dipper questioned. " Go ahead, man. Do your worst. I just wanna get this over with. "
" Oh, man, I am so gonna enjoy this. " Robbie said before reeling back his fist while Dipper didn't whimper or block his face. He closed his eyes and widened his arms showing no sign of fighting back.
" Aren't you gonna run? "
" Nope. "
" Are you sure? " Dipper nodded still willing to embrace whatever pain the emo was gonna pull on him. After a few seconds Robbie scoffed and lowered down his fist. " It's not even worth it! I play lead guitar so I gotta save my hands. "
" Hey, guys. I heard some crazy screaming out here. "
" Wendy? " Dipper and Wendy said simultaneously, both surprised to see her. "
" You're back? " Dipper asked.
" Yeah, man. Whoa! " She now noticed all the destruction in the area. " What the heck happened here? Freak tornado or something? " Both boys tried to come up with answer but ultimately didn't come up with any of the right words. " And why are your faces all jacked up? You guys weren't fighting each, were you? I hate it when guys fight! "
" Actually I have the answer for that. " Adam said coming up from behind the two in order to save their bacon. " A video game character came to life and went on a rampage. So we took care of the problem, and brought out another character to help. As for everything else you see, is the end result. " The blonde said speaking the truth.
At first, Wendy stared at him for a moment. Usually, she wouldn't believe in all the stuff that's happened to him and the twins, but after the amount of time they've gotten to know one another, she's learned to trust him. That, and she's already experienced some of the weirder things in Gravity Falls, such as the incident at the Dusk 2 Dawn. " Cool. " She said with a smile. " It makes me happy to see my three boys hanging out. I got some unpacking to do. I'll text you guys later. " She then kissed Robbie's cheek and ruffled Dippers hat before looking at. " Also Adam? You wanna hang out some time? "
" As long as it don't involve abandoned buildings. Sure. " The blonde replied making her chuckle and give him a fist-bump before walking back to her family making the two go 'phew' in relief.
" And your both welcome for me coming in. " The blonde stated. " Seriously, you two got work out whatever issues you got. "
" Adam's right Robbie. If we stay at each other's throats, we'll both lose Wendy. We need to make a cold war pact. "
" Okay. What's that? " Robbie asked a bit confused.
" We need to learn how to hate each other in silence. " Dipper explained.
" You mean, like, what girls do? " Robbie asked.
" Yeah, exactly! " Dipper nodded his head. " What girls do.
The next day at the Mystery Shack Adam was seen using a dolly to roll the Dark Stalkers arcade game into the Mystery Shack, as he went through, he couldn't help but look at Robbie and Dipper who were listening to one of Wendy's stories about her camping trip while she brushed her hair behind the counter.
" So then I told Thompson, 'Hey, save some for the rest us!' " She said before they all had a laugh.
Robbie " Good one, Wendy! Yeah. "
Dipper: " Good one, Wendy! That's great " She suddenly drops the brush.
" Aw, man! Just a second. " She bends over to pick it up. Once that did happen, both boys exchanged silent threats to one another. but they stopped once she came back up. " So as I was saying... " Adam now realized they were now just only fake laughing acting like their buddies.
Seeing this made him sigh in annoyance as he wheeled the Darkstalkers arcade game away into a place where could play it. ' I swear, this is gonna be annoying for a while. '
" You know. You could just take your time till they screw up, and then snatch her into your arms. " The entity suggested as it was seen hovering above him
" I don't need your advice. " The teen countered.
" Say what you will, but I see how you look at her at times. You just don't wanna admit it. "
" Just shut up. "

Sorry man, but the episode, teaches us a good valuable lesson in life, even though it might sound like bullshit, but its true. But, even so, I never liked the episode myself. Hell, i just wanna get the Summerween chapter started, soon.
