A/N:
I can explain why I haven't uploaded in a long time. I have a few words. School work and the inability for me to think of good ideas for this chapter. These aren't the best of reasons but I hope you(if you are still reading this crappy fic) forgive me!
"What do you mean I'm your daughter?" You pulled herself away from the man, glowering at him. "You don't believe me, do you?"
"Why should I? I don't don't even know you and secondly your a pirate!" You knew very well about the stories of these pirates. Their lies that acted as a bait to get their dirty work done. "Thought so. Make her walk the plank she's not the one we're looking for." he said to his crew members with a devious smirk. "What, wait- get off of me!" You struggled as pairs of arms immobilized her tying a rope around her legs and wrists. She struggled yet she was dragged to the plank set out for her. "Now walk the plank." the man who claimed to be her father, the captain probably, pointed his sword at her prodding at her back to move forward. Behind her the crew mates cheered.
You wasn't all that scared. They were helping her in fact. You never had any problems in breathing underwater ever since she unlocked her powers. It was a peculiar part of her powers that not all water benders possessed.
A tattoo that only formed when she was submerged in water. She had no clue why it formed but it made her breathe underwater and it had always been like that ever since she unlocked its power when she was young. According Nozomi it's a very rare power bestowed upon the water benders along with a cryptic, "Just as my cards said'. You never really understood what that meant but if it was for the good You was a-okay.
She hopped, the board shaking beneath her. Her breathing was shaky as she reached the edge. The drop seemed higher than she expected. With a deep inhale she jumped off the edge closing her eyes as she did so. She felt weightless for those airborne seconds. She could hear the sounds of cheering dissipate as she hit the cold, salty yet refreshing water. Oh, how long had it been since she dived into the sea, except this time she was tied up, but not for long.
She was fully submerged soon enough and she could feel the part of her back tingle then stretching across her right arm, in intricate blue lines that drew beautiful designs from the edge of her soulmate tattoo. It stretched till the back of hand where all the blue lines joined to form an anchor, a symbol of strength and support. She could breath now and now to the situation at hand she needed to get out of the ropes.
Using her teeth she attempted to remove the knot the prevented her hands from being free. She moved her tied up legs in hope to make it to the surface. With a bit of struggle and an aching jaw she removed the knot, but little did she realize she was part of a plan.
She was surrounded by four of those pirates, two of them being the captain and his right man. She tried to swim pass them but no matter which direction she went they stopped her. Though something caught her eye making her freeze in shock. What surprised her was their had the same tattoos on their right arm. How was that possible? "Now do you believe me?" The captain said. "We're your family."
She had no other choice but to give in, for the time being, even if she didn't believe it.
"So what do you plan to do?" Nozomi asked. Nozomi had come to visit the two injured knights and the three knights who had just arrived from their mission. "Escape so we can save You chan."
"EHHH!"
"Why didn't we think of that earlier!? You're a genius Riko chan!" Chika exclaimed, mind blown by the idea.
"Aren't you forgetting something, Riri?"
"What am I forgetting? And my name is not Riri!"
"Mari sama doesn't seem to like that idea zura. Also she isn't in the happiest mood either. Our positions as knights might be in danger if we do so zura. Or even worse, be banned from this place for good." Hanamaru explained before Yoshiko could. "Hey I was going to say that!"
"Doesn't matter who said it first zura." Yoshiko pouted. "Mari sama's punishments when she's in a bad mood isn't nice." Ruby, who managed to free herself till her neck from head to toe said, shivering.
"It doesn't matter, Yoshiko chan, Hanamaru chan, Ruby chan." Chika said looking at them pointedly." We may have worked hard to get this position but You chan is more important than this. Am I right Riko chan?" Riko nodded in agreement.
"Seems like you've come to decision." Nozomi stood up from her chair. "I never agreed yet!" Yoshiko took a step "Nor did Zuramaru and Ruby." Hanamaru and Ruby nodded.
"But I'm sure you will still follow them anyway. You care about her as much as they do am I right."
"Yeah but-"
"No buts or else I'll washi washi you three." Nozomi did her signature washi washi pose. "NO ANYTHING BUT THAT!" Yoshiko covered her chest while Hanamaru ran to the other end of the room with a frightened "zura" and Ruby could only make a sound of fear. "I thought so." Nozomi said returning back to normal.
"So we leave tonight!" Chika said excitedly. "But Chika chan your wounds haven't-"
"I'm fine Riko chan." Chika gave Riko a reassuring smile but it wasn't enough to convince Riko. Riko sighed, worried. She knew that once Chika was determined there was no way of stopping her but now she was just going to overwork herself. "Since we now know You chan isn't with the bandits I wonder who captured her."
"I heard Onee chan and Mari sama talking about how the pirates and bandits were active at the time You chan was captured. So-" Ruby said. "So you're saying that there's a possibility of You chan being with the pirates zura."
"Maybe."
Nozomi couldn't help but smile as a wave of nostalgia hit her as she heard the group of five discuss their plan. Ah, those were the days where even she and her friends did something similar and enjoyed it till… till that happened. Everything happening right now was exactly as predicted. This scenario the squadron was in, the BTL book in Hanamaru's hand, everything fell right into place. "I know a person who is headed to the docks." Nozomi intervened their conversation, "I could ask them to help you get there."
"Really! Thanks a lot Nozomi chan!" Chika said. "No problem." Nozomi made her way to the door. "Now then I'll be going. I'll inform you all when she arrives here." Nozomi glanced back at them before exiting.
"Seems like everything is going as just as it was said, Elichi. We're finally going to be free from this. Finally all of us nine can get away from here just as we were promised. I can't wait to see you." Nozomi thought as she walked back to her room in the castle.
A/N:
I know it's small but I'll try my best to make the next chapter a bit bigger. I'm not planning to abandon this fic anytime soon ;)
