Pairing: Ichigo Kurosaki x Kagome Higurashi

"Welcome, Kagome-chan! I am so happy you agreed to have dinner with us today!"

Kagome released a nervous chuckle as her hands were clasped inside Ichigo's father's much bigger ones. She had received an oral invite by the orange head that his family wanted to have dinner with her. After all, it had been a long time since she properly said hello to his family despite being childhood friends. "I hope I don't impose," she spoke.

"Not at all!" Isshin smiled widely. Turning his head towards the sighing substitute shinigami, he gave him a wink. "Good job, son!"

"Uruse," he glared back. The last thing he wanted was to make the miko uncomfortable. First his Zanpakuto and hollow and now his family? Could Kagome just have a break?

Peeking her head out of the entry of the kitchen, Yuzu's eyes brighten at the sight of the familiar miko. "Kagome-onee-san!? You really did come!"

"Ah, Yuzu-chan, are you cooking?" she questioned. "Would you like me to help you?" Giving Isshin a bow, Kagome made her way towards the brunette girl while putting her hair up into a ponytail.

"Eh~ so you were able to convince Kagome-onee-san to come over?"

The two males blinked before looking down to see none other than Karin staring at the entry way of the kitchen. Blowing a bubble from the gum in her mouth, the dark haired girl crossed her arms. "I will never understand what she saw in you."

"What are you talking about?" Ichigo's eyes narrowed.

"Well, you were a wimp as a kid, right? Kagome-onee-san became friends with you like nothing." Karin shook her head, "you might as well woe her in before someone else does."

"She is right son," Isshin nodded. "I can already imagine how beautiful my grandchildren will look with Kagome-chan's eyes!"

"Oi!" A blush erupted on Ichigo's cheeks as he quickly noted what his father meant.

'He has a point', Zangetsu spoke from inside.

"She would make a perfect Queen and if someone else beats you to it, I will kill you!"

Ichigo released a groan as he heard the hollow's threat. Now he had to deal with everyone around him. Could he not just enjoy his time with Kagome?
