How it is very cold. A cold worse than that of space. Now I remember… The infinite, dark space. My long travel through the stars. My arrival on Earth. My so important missive.
Now I'm thinking about Yuki.
People around me are constantly talking. Doctors, nurses… Soldiers? I can not move, but I want to know. I'm listening. What is happened? Where is Yuki? I need to know.
One day, I feel she wake up. I don't, but this is not important for the moment. I hear about the Yamato. Soon, an unknown man speaks me to the ship. Yuki will be here.
"We'll take you again at your home", he says me.
My eyes and my mouth are closed, but if I could, I would smile and thank him. They won to understand our message. My travel will continue, as we expected... but the time is long when you're motionless. The Earthlings have tried everything to heal me, I do not blame them. My body is so small although the outside is so large. I want this outside, I want walking, breathing and eating.
I want to wake up.
Yuki is the first one I want to join, but for a reason I ignore, she doesn't answer me. I try again and again. I'm finally succeeding, with a young woman able to feel my presence, and now I am her, seeing with her eyes, walking with her legs and hearing with her ears. Her name is Yuria.
With her help, for months, I'm watching the Earthlings' actions. This is why I am here. Inevitably, they discover who I am, and I become again Yurisha rather than Yuria. At once, I'm meeting the Yamato's captain, Okita.
"Thank you for your cooperation" he begins to say.
"Show me your gratitude with actions, not words."
Words may lie. Not actions.
Yuki is not here, but with us is present my friend, Hoshina. He is trying to get closer me again. He misses her, but she isn't gone. I don't know how to explain him.
Sometimes, I'm looking the stars. My home is beyond it. Once time, Hoshina comes with me. I'm speaking about my sister Sasha, my lost sister. Hoshina seems sad. I'm rejoining him, jumping in his arms.
"That's dangerous" he is warning me.
"I'm sorry, Hoshina."
In my mind, Yuria speaks. She also misses him. And Hoshina speaks with me as if I still was his lover… but I know that the only woman he loves is Yuria.
When the war finally comes, I prefer to look away. Violence can be look necessary for Earthlings, but for me, it is nothing more than what it is: useless, destructive actions. However, at the middle of that, Hoshina comes to me. He thinks I am in danger, here, and wants to protect me… whatever who I am. He is wounded, later, but I will not forget his motion.
When I finally wake up long months after, the first thing I remember is the strength of Yuria's love for him.
