Wedding Peach Easter
Hinagiku x Takuro
Hinagiku headed to the preschool where she was asked to help the children paint eggs for Easter.
The children are going to have an Easter egg hunt and Hinagiku is setting it up for them.
"Hinagiku!" It was Takuro. Her childhood friend.
"Takuro. What are you doing here?" She asked.
"I know you asked for a few days off of school but what are you doing?" Takuro asked.
"I asked off because I was asked to help out with the preschool. They need help with an Easter egg hunt." Hinagiku told him.
Takuro was surprised hearing that. "Really? You were asked?"
"Yes. My family is a friend of the owner of the school. So she wanted me to help the children." Hinagiku said.
"Do you want any help?" Takuro asked.
Hinagiku was silent for a moment before she nodded and handed him a basket. "You can carry these eggs." She told him.
He smiled a little and took the basket from her.
They walked together for a while before reaching the school. The children were super excited as Hinagiku walked in the door with a basket.
"Thank you for bringing the extra eggs and baskets. And for helping us." Said the teacher.
"Of course." Hinagiku smiled. "And I brought a friend to help as well." She said pointing to Takuro.
The kids dragged Hinagiku and Takuro to their tables and showed them what they've been working on.
Hinagiku smiled and laughed with them which made Takuro smile.
"Alright children. Let's head outside for our scavenger hunt." The teacher called.
They all ran to the door then headed outside to look for the hidden eggs.
Hinagiku went to the door and watched from a distance.
"You know. I remember coming to this school and looking forward to the egg hunt every year." She said.
Takuro stood next to her with wide eyes.
"And something I remember, this one egg I couldn't reach because these boys threw it over the fence." She spoke in a soft tone.
Takuro then realized what she was talking about. "Then..a boy, he was sick, he walked by, and threw the egg back over for me. It was sweet. I asked him for his name. I opened the egg and gave him the candy that was inside. He became a close friend." She looked over at him.
Takuro was blushing furiously. "Yes. I remember." He mumbled.
"It's why I love this place so much. It's also my favorite memory. When I first met you." She said.
He looked at her right in the eyes. "It's my favorite memory too. Because I made my first friend." He grinned a little.
Takuro pulled something out of his pocket. "And I also, still have the wrapper for the candy you gave me." He said showing it to her.
Hinagiku gasped with a smile seeing that he still remembers and has the wrapper from the candy she let him have.
"Alright children. Is that all the eggs? Let's come inside and open our treats." The teacher brought the children back inside and many of the children had so many eggs some of them gave a few pieces to each other and some to Hinagiku and Takuro.
It was sweet and something they would always remember.
Hinagiku and Takuro said their goodbyes and started heading back home to spend the day with their friends and family.
But the one thing they took away from this day that they didn't last time, was that they were holding hands.
A first step to a wonderful relationship between the best of friends.
The End
