Bubble Bath
It's been such a long while since I ever wrote something fluffy here. Have some Demon Slayer cutness/fluff with Tomioka Giyuu and his little daughter, Tomioka Mizu in bathtime.
Disclaimer: I do not own anything, Demon Slayer belongs to Hoyoharu Gotoge. I only own this small one-shot and Mizu.
(7:30, nightime. Tomioka Household)
"Alright, Mizu-chan. Bathtime!" Giyuu called around his home, as he finished pouring the last of the warm water in the bath, and after he checked the temperature he deemed it appropriate to get his four-year old daughter in.
Mizu approached, wearing a bath robe, she looked quite adorable, looking with her innocent big baby blue eyes. Giyuu smiled softly and knelt in front of the little girl. "Ready, Mizu-chan?"
"Yes, Papa,"
Giyuu carefully picked up his daughter and set her in the nice, warm water, after undressing her. Mizu smiled, popping a few of the bubbles. Bathtime, or anything related with water always made the little girl happy. Her hair was softly carded in between fingers, carefully and delcatedly washed, strand by strand. Mizu kept squeezing her small whale bathtoy, she was a pretty calm and well-behaved girl, the pride of the Water Pillar, his life and eternal treasure. No one landed a hand on his daughter, he didn't let them hear the end of it.
"Yoshi, yoshi, Mizu-chan. Close your eyes." he instructed softly, gently tilting Mizu's head backwards and pouring water to wash up the shampoo off her hair. Once done, Giyuu rinsed her off and wrapped her in a towel, with water drop designs. He carried her to her room, where her night time pajamas were ready in her futon. He dried her head off, her body and as soon as she was clean and dried off, he put the night kimono on her.
"Papa, can we take a bath together, tomorrow?" Mizu asked, as her hair was brushed delicatedly and tied in a high ponytail.
"Of course, Papa will not take a bath early so we both can share the tub." Giyuu replied softly to her and placed her back down. "Now, I believe it's time for a small raindrop to close her eyes." He rubbed his daughter's round cheek lovingly.
Mizu yawned and nodded, scooting over and hugging onto her Papa, head resting against his chest. "Lullabye, Papa," she whispered.
Giyuu cradled his lovable, bundle of joy and rocked gently back and forth, starting to hum a lullabye, his oldest sister, Tsutako used to sing to him, when he was smaller.
It only took a little while, when he opened his eyes and saw Mizu fast asleep, sucking on her thumb. A soft smile crossed the serious man's face. The only smile he never refused to muster his daughter. Mizu being the only person alive in the whole, wide world to witness such beauty. Not just her, his love of his life, Akira.
Giyuu gently placed his sleeping little girl down in bed and tucked her in, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
"Oyasuminasai, Mizu-chan,"
