Once Buttercup reached the house and entered the front door, there was a deathly silence. She made her way up the stairs and into the hallway as sneakily as she could manage.

" So far, the coast is clear." She thought victoriously. She slowly opened her door and silently closed it as she flicked on the light. Her heart nearly burst out of her chest when she saw someone standing in her room, but she calmed down when she realized it was Blossom.

"Buttercup, why did you sneak out? You know the professor is going to be furious when he discovers you left the house." She whispered. Buttercup sighed in relief. "You mean he doesn't know that I left?"

"No, Bubbles got home first and told me he fell asleep in the lab."

"Good, then he's not going to find out that I left." Buttercup deadpanned. Blossom sighed. "Well you know Bubbles, she has a big mouth."

Buttercup was aggravated now. "Well Blossom, you have to make sure she doesn't tell him, I don't want him to ground me even more, especially since I want to hang with Bu…" Buttercup then cut herself off before she could finish that statement. "Speaking of people who have big mouths, you should look in the mirror." Buttercup scolded herself.

Blossom's expression then did a complete three- sixty, and a mischievous grin spread over her mug. Buttercup really hated that fucking grin.

"Hang with who? Hang with Butch?" Blossom laughed, a bit louder than she intended.

"No!" Buttercup shot back defensively. "That's not who I was going to say at all!"

Blossom continued her mocking laugh. "Of course it is, and it all makes sense now, that's why you snuck out, because you went on a date with your darling Butch."

"We just hung out, we did not go on a date!" Buttercup barked and Blossom's face lit up even further. "So you admit you were with him!"

Buttercup blushed, feeling like a jackass now with how much information she was giving away. "I… uh… well... we… but" She was just stuttering at this point and her sister took advantage of it. "But nothing! You went out on a romantic date with Butch, even though not that long ago you said you would never have such feelings." The red head taunted.

"But it wasn't a date! Can't a guy and a girl just spend time together as friends without having the hots for one another?" Buttercup stated impatiently. "You said you already have Mitch for that though, remember?" Blossom said smugly, and Buttercup felt her blood boil.

"So, a girl can't have more than one male friend?"

"You admit the two of you are friends then?" Blossom asked, raising an eyebrow. Buttercup just gave off an embarrassed expression. "I guess, I mean what else would you call it?"

"Love." Blossom purred, breaking out into more laughter. "Whatever, you probably fantasize about getting nailed by Brick." Buttercup shot back, and the effect of her words were immediate, Blossom's expression fell. So instantly in fact that now Buttercup was the one laughing.

"Oh, what's the matter? You don't like it when you're on the other end of the teasing do you?" Blossom's cheeks turned pink and she stumbled over her words trying to think up a quick comeback. "Yeah…well, unlike you, I never went out with a Rowdyruff!"

Buttercup paused for a second and then a wide, wicked grin spread over her mug. "I guess we're just going to have to test that statement out then." She chuckled. Blossom's heart leaped and her eyes bugged out of their sockets, knowing right away what her sister was planning on doing. "Buttercup, don't you dare!" Blossom proclaimed, trying to keep her voice low to refrain from waking the professor up as she ran after her sister who was now heading into the redhead's bedroom.

Buttercup pushed opened her sister's door and quickly snatched up Blossom's pink cell phone that was sitting on her dresser.

"Buttercup, stop! I mean it!" Blossom whined. "You shouldn't be so upset if you have nothing to hide." The green eyed girl responded smugly, flipping open the phone.

"It's invading my privacy!" Blossom shot back angrily. Buttercup payed no mind to her sister's protests as she began to go through the redhead's texts with one hand, and shoving her sister away from her with the other.

"Buttercup, this is your last warning!" The red headed teen exclaimed although now she was sounding more exasperated than angry.

Buttercup continued to ignore her sister's unhappy yelps and scrolled down the alphabetical list of her phone contacts. Sure enough, under B, was Brick Jojo.

Buttercup's face lit up like a Christmas tree and she tossed her sibling's phone onto her nearby bed as she erupted into laughter, although struggling to keep the volume down as to not wake the Professor.

"I can't believe it, I was actually right, you're banging Brick, you naughty little girl you!" Buttercup teased with a massive grin.

Blossom scowled, her face a now bright crimson. "We haven't even done anything like that yet." She hissed angrily.

Buttercup's grin just grew wider at the other female's words. "Yet? What's that supposed to mean?" She chuckled. Blossom's face became an even deeper shade of red, and then she sighed deeply.

"When you went off on your own at the fair the other day, Bubbles and I also split up and Brick was on one of the rides I was in. We got to talking and eventually decided to go on a few dates together."

Buttercup's smile faded and she started to look more serious. "Be honest, what do you see in that guy, I mean he's a Rowdyruff boy!"

The blush was still present on Blossom's face and she sighed again. "That's true, but in all honesty, I know you'd never believe it, but he's actually really sweet when you get to know him."

Buttercup could tell her sister was embarrassed because her cheeks were still pink and she wasn't making eye contact. "Yeah, that IS hard to believe." Buttercup deadpanned.

Now it was Blossom's turn to taunt again. "Oh yeah, well what do you see in Butch, huh?" She prodded, her smirk coming back.

Buttercup opened her mouth and stammered a bit, trying to find a response. "He's um… you know…interesting." She stated lamely.

"Interesting? Is that Buttercup speak for sweet?" She taunted, fluttering her eyelashes. Buttercup's cheeks turned pink and she clenched her fists. "NO! It just means I like him… as a friend! Just as a friend!" She added in quickly.

"Sure." Blossom replied with a smug grin. Then she yawned. "It's very late, I'm heading to bed, you should do the same." Blossom advised, Buttercup than left and headed into the hallway down to her own bedroom. Once her sister had left, Blossom's phone vibrated, signifying a text message. She looked at the message on her screen, it was from Brick. U doin anyting 2morrow babe?

Blossom blushed, especially because she had just described their relationship to Buttercup. The teenaged redhead blushed lightly and bit her lip as she typed back a reply to the leader of the Ruffs.

No, I'm free, why? She replied. Because, I want to take our relationship to the next level ;) He text back a split second later.

Now Blossom's cheeks were really red and she felt fluttering in her stomach as she replied back with a huge naughty smirk on her face.

Buttercup was more tired than she thought, as she almost instantly fell asleep after changing into her pajamas and resting her head on her pillow. The next morning, she was still grounded so she spent most of the day either listening to her ipod or mindlessly flipping through television channels, although nothing good seemed to be on.

Later in the afternoon, Blossom and Bubbles were gone again and the Professor was in the lab once more. As she was channel surfing, she heard the house phone ringing.

"Professor, the phone's ringing!" Buttercup called down but there was no response and it continued to ring. Buttercup groaned in annoyance and headed downstairs into the kitchen and picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Buttercup? It's me, Butch." Almost involuntarily a warm smile appeared on Buttercup's face, and she blushed a little after, feeling like such a ditz over getting excited at just hearing his voice.

"Oh, hey, what's up?" She tried her best not to sound overly excited. "I was wondering if you still wanted to hang or not this weekend, if you don't want to sneak out or anything I would understand." His tone surprisingly was not mocking or condescending at all, but actually sympathetic.

"No, I definitely still want to, sneaking out isn't a big deal, I've done it before many times in the past." Buttercup explained with a chuckle. Butch chuckled also. "Yeah, I bet you have."

"Anyways" Butch added. "I also called you to make sure we were still getting together because I reserved us tickets this Saturday for the Psychotic Skull concert that's coming to town."

Buttercup nearly dropped the phone in surprise. Psychotic Skull was her absolute favorite heavy metal band, in fact most of the times she was on her ipod, she was listening to their music. She had discovered they were coming to Townesville a few months ago and was upset that the tickets were so expensive, but now she had a chance to go! Was this for real?

"No way, Butch are you serious?" Buttercup asked, her attempt to not show her excitement failing. "Totally, we can meet up at my apartment around six, the concert starts at seven."

"That sounds great Butch! I can't wait for Saturday!" Buttercup responded kindly.

"Sweet! One more thing, I got the house phone number because your sister gave it to my brother, would you mind if I gave you my cell number and you could give me yours?"

"No, that's cool." Buttercup responded warmly, as he gave her his number, and she then followed suit and the two said their goodbyes and hung up. Buttercup then blushed when she realized that now she was just like Blossom, she had the phone number of a Rowdyruff in her contacts.

"He's just a friend Buttercup that's it, it's not weird to have a friend's phone number, how else do you maintain contact with him?" She thought, reassuring herself. The rest of the week went by slowly, and over the course of the next couple of days, her mind kept shifting to her plans with Butch. A tiny but naughty voice in the back of her head echoed: You're going on a date with Butch!

No, it's not a date, we're just hanging as friends, that's it. She told herself again and again. Finally it was Saturday morning, the day of the concert. Buttercup ate a bowl of cereal and showered thoroughly. Exiting the shower, a towel still wrapped around her body and her wet black hair, Blossom approached her.

"Ah! Jesus Blossom, did you ever hear of privacy?" She just rolled her eyes. "And why are you getting all dolled up today?"

Buttercup grimaced. "Taking a shower is getting dolled up?"

"You usually don't shower until late, that is unless you would be attending a concert with your boyfriend Butch."

Buttercup's jaw dropped. "How do you know that?" She just shrugged. "I hung out with Brick the other day and he overheard your Romeo calling you."

Buttercup blushed a bit. "Yeah well at least I'm not drooling over him like you are with Brick!" She countered.

"Atleast I admit I like Brick. It's okay, you'll admit it to yourself eventually, that Butch is a hot hunk of man that you totally want a piece of." She teased with a laugh. "Just shut up and leave me alone." Buttercup snapped, but Blossom could tell she wasn't really angry, and just giggled some more and walked away.

The Professor was once again deeply involved with another project, so sneaking out would be easy for her.

At the Rowdyruff apartment, Butch had showered three times already and was dousing his chest and armpits with cologne.

"Do I reek of BO guys?" Butch asked in panic. "It's hard to tell, you always seem to smell." Boomer joked, and Brick joined in with a laugh.

"I'm serious guys!" Butch complained and Brick rolled his eyes. "Why, because you want to be presentable on your date with the lovely Buttercup?" Brick laughed.

"It's not a date, we're just friends." He defended. Brick then put his hand on his brother's shoulder. "Listen butch, Boomer and I both know what you're up to, and all I have to say is that when you get her alone, make sure to use a condom."

Boomer erupted into laughter and Brick joined in a second later. "You guys are fucking idiots, I'm not going to be doing any of that with her!"

"Whatever Butch, you can't always live in denial."

A few hours later, Brick and Boomer were heavily into another round of Call of Duty online when there was a knock on the door. Butch rushed to the front door. "I'll get it!" He called out.

Brick turned over to Boomer and laughed. "It looks like our brother's date has arrived." Butch heard him and just shot him a dirty look as he opened the door.

Buttercup seemed to look even more beautiful than usual, but he wasn't exactly sure why. "So… are you ready?" He asked, his mouth getting dry in anxiousness.

"Fuck yeah!" Buttercup responded with a grin. Just then, Brick and boomer appeared in the hallway behind Butch.

"There she is! Hey Buttercup, you know Butch totally has the hots for you right? He thinks you're the most gorgeous girl ever and totally wants to get in your pants." Brick taunted. "Yeah, he's like madly in love with you!" Boomer added in obnoxiously. Butch's face turned red in anger and he shoved them aside. "Fuck off you guys."

"Come on lets go." He said to the Powerpuff, shutting the door behind him. "Those guys are stupid assholes, don't let them get to you, they're just made because they don't have anything going on tonight." Buttercup grinned.

Butch snickered. "Yeah, but that's not entirely true, Brick might be going on another date with your sister tonight."

"So what, we're going to have way more fun than those two ever will." Buttercup giggled, but then blushed when she realized her words sounded unintentionally dirty, although Butch didn't seem to pick up on it and just laughed warmly.

"Hey Buttercup, you want to race to the concert?" Butch asked with a raised eyebrow and challenging grin. Buttercup just let off her own shit eating grin in return, unable to resist the challenge. "You're on."

Then, before he could react, she took off, laughing wildly. "Hey you cheater!" Butch chuckled with a grin as he took off after her. For awhile as they flew, they were neck and neck, but Buttercup eventually managed to take the lead just as they arrived at the stadium the concert was being held in.

"Hah! Looks like you got your ass beaten by a girl Butchie." Buttercup teased with a wink. Butch shivered in pleasure at her taunting, this was definitely his type of girl.

There was a massive swarm of people heading into the stadium, and as expected the security was almost comparable to Fort Knox.

After getting past security, Butch headed to one of the snack food stands. "And where do you think you're going?" Buttercup inquired with a smirk.

"I need some grub! You want anything toots?" Butch shot back with an even bigger smirk. "No way, that junk food might make me smelly and dumb like you." Buttercup joked playfully. Butch just giggled and shot back. "Oh what's the matter? Princess doesn't want to ruin her black head ridden complexion?"

Buttercup giggled. "You really are a bastard."

"And you really are the ultimate bitch." Butch replied, grinning ear to ear. "Yep, I guess I am. In all seriousness Butchie, a pink lemonade would be cool." Buttercup stated.

"Cool, don't worry I'll be paying." Butch answered. Buttercup's smile faltered. "No way! You already purchased the tickets, the least I could do to return the favor would be for me to pay for YOUR stuff."

"You sure dollface?" Butch grinned. "Yeah, now don't make me change my mind pea brain." Buttercup replied, shooting a grin right back at him.

Buttercup got her pink lemonade and the green Rowdyruff got a corndog, fries, nachos and a large drink. Buttercup honestly didn't mind paying, even the cost of his food tripled didn't come close to the price of the tickets.

The two teens found their seats, which were in the very first row, so close to the band in fact they could practically feel the musicians' breathe on them.

"Wow Butch, these seats are fucking amazing! I really owe you one." Buttercup smiled warmly. Butch blushed lightly and mentally kicked himself for acting feminine again, but thankfully she didn't seem to notice, as the band was getting ready to play their first song for the night.

By the time Psychotic Skull had delved into their third song, Butch and Buttercup were completely absorbed, singing along to the aggressive lyrics and fist pumping the air together, as if they were siblings. A couple other teens a few seats back took notice.

"Hey, isn't that Buttercup and Butch? A guy with a black shirt and cargo pants asked his sunglasses wearing friend. "Yeah, but why would they be here? Unless they're… dating?" He questioned out loud, in shock.

"Dude, we should take some pictures of them together and put them online!"

"Great idea!" The friend agreed.

After the third song finished, the lead singer, a man in his mid twenties by the name of Raymond Garpett, with long black hair going down his back and several piercings in his face, called out to the audience for their participation in the next song, but this one would only be for the couples.

The band began to play, and all of the teens who were on dates started to stand up. Butch felt Buttercup's hand grab and squeeze his, and he tried hard not to blush.

"Come on Butchie, what are you waiting for!"

"But, we're not a couple." Butch answered, his words slurred a bit. Buttercup was still holding his hand and she just grinned and giggled.

"So what? They don't know that, come on." Butch smiled, this was probably the best day of his life. Of course, the gruesome lyrics of the "love" song were about a girl getting revenge on an ex by slicing out his heart, and the crowd went wild.

The concert wrapped up at around a quarter to midnight, and as everyone was heading towards the exit, Butch followed suit but felt Buttercup grip his arm to spin him around.

"Butch, I just want to thank you again for this night, it was awesome. And you know how hard it is for me to say thanks." She chuckled.

"Oh, it's no big deal." Butch answered, trying to seem smug and macho but in reality was having butterflies over the girl's words.

The buff male began to walk away once more when the Powerpuff called back to him. "Hey Butch!" She proclaimed.

"Yeah?" He inquired. "Come here, I have to tell you a secret." She told him, a small naughty smirk appearing on her face. Butch's cheeks flushed, and Buttercup could tell he was nervous. She tried to suppress a giggle at how shy he was being, especially considering how masculine he always tried to seem in her presence. The Ruff approached her and when he did, she grabbed both of his arms and pulled him into a wet, steamy kiss.

"Mhmhmhmhmh." Buttercup moaned into the kiss, and on instinct Butch did as well, emitting a husky, masculine growl from the depths of his throat.

"Dude, dude! Are you getting this? The teen with the green, cargo pants shouted out. "Yeah, I am, this little smoochy smoochy fest of theirs is totally going online!" He laughed in triumph, filming the two teens' private moment with his iphone.

The kiss went on a bit longer, with moans and smacking noises being audible to people nearby, several of which were now gaping at the two of them. Eventually, they seemed to pick up on how many watchers they had out of the corners of their eyes and broke away. Both of their faces were bright red, and they spent the next minute or so giggling nervously and wiping the other's excess saliva from their lips.

The crowd eventually dispersed however, and the couple walked out of the stadium, mostly in silence. Even as they flew back to the Ruffs' apartment, it was mostly quiet, and Buttercup began to feel nervous. " I'm such an idiot for doing that! He probably thinks I'm a freak now!" She mentally scolded herself.
