Hi! This is my first fanfiction and I just wanted to say that I might not be good at first, but wish me good luck.
GABE POV
"Bye Teddy," we yell as she drives away. Wow. I am really going to miss her more than I thought. I look down and see Charlie trying to climb up my leg. I pick her up and hold her in my arms. She looked sad. I looked sad. Everyone around us looked sad. But we all knew she would be happy at Yale. I set Charlie down on the couch. I went downstairs to the basement to play some video games and take my mind off Teddy leaving.
DING DONG! I had been playing video games for about 3 hours. I hear Mom upstairs talking to Lauren. Lauren walks downstairs and sits on her bean bag with me. I finally die in my video game and she says,
"So how's it going?"
"Good I guess," I respond drowsily.
"No, you're not. Why are you sad?"
"Teddy left for college," I got it out and I just burst into a rant, "Leading up to today, I thought I'd be fine, but then when we were having breakfast I completely lost it. I cried. I was upset. I don't know why, but no one else in my family has gone away like this.
"Look, I know that you're sad, but let's think on the bright side. Now when your mom is hunting us we can hide in her old room,"
"Huh I guess that is pretty useful," Gabe gives Lauren the controller and then he unpauses the game so they can play together.
