Phantom's Family
Danny groan as he stood up from his bed. Last night, there was another Maverick Attack and after that, there were a few ghost attacks. By the time the attacks has been deal with, it was 5 in the morning. While his armor may sure his body was well rested, he still need his sleep. He was only able to get two hours, before his father bust into his room saying some about a trip down town. Danny was too tired to listen or even care at the time. His father left afterwards and he try to fall back asleep, but it didn't last when his mother walk in to let him know that they were leaving after lunch.
'Sometimes keeping a secret is not as great as it sounds. Hope the others got their rest.' Danny thought.
Danny walk out of room and spotted Jazz looking as tired as he did.
"Dad woke you up?" Jazz asked knowing.
"Follow by mom a few minutes later." Danny conform.
Danny and Jazz were nothing like their parents. One of the reasons they couldn't wait to move out was so they could get to sleep in on the weekends. They try to explain this to their parents but they kept doing it. They were just think about spending the weekend at their friends placing just so they could. They sat at the table and waited.
"3,2,1." They counted down before Jack bust in the room.
"Great you up! I can't wait for this Fenton family trip." Jack cheered.
"We not going!" Danny and Jazz shouted surprising Jack.
"What, why..." Jack started to asked.
"You woke us up on a weekend Dad!" Jazz shouted.
"The part of the week that we could sleep in?" Danny added.
Jack shrug, still lost.
"Of course you don't get it. Me and Danny are not like you guys! We have no interest in anything ghost related!" Jazz shouted.
"Dad, we are happy you guys found your dreams, but me and Jazz don't want anything to do about it!" Danny added.
"But you kids have ghost fighting..." Jack started to say, but was cut off again.
"NO WE DON'T!" They yelled.
"We have our own dreams! Dad you need to learn not everyone dreams about ghosts." Jazz yelled.
"There a reason we keep refusing to hang out with you and mom. You don't even bother to understand how me and Jazz feel!" Danny yell.
"But..." Jack wanted to say.
"We're not going and that finally!" Jazz yelled.
"And don't even try it mom!" Danny said just as their mother walk in shock.
"What?" Maddie asked shock.
"We know you were listening and nothing you say will change our minds." Jazz told her.
"We're tired and we need to sleep. You want to go on the trip, then fine. Just go without us. We got plans of our own." Danny said before he and Jazz retreated back to their rooms for some more sleep.
Jack and Maddie just stood there unsure what to do.
Danny woke up, feeling fresh and notice it was just after 12. His parents didn't come up to get him so they must have went on the trip without him and Jazz. Danny felt bad for yelling at his parents, but he was tired of it. He maybe their son, but he has his own life. He just hope his parents wasn't too heart broken from the words he and Jazz told them. He walk down stairs and say a note on the table.
"Dear Kids,
Me and Jack went on the trip and thought about what you told us and you were right. We made plans and didn't bother to asked you first. We, well, we decide from now on, we check with you first. Maybe you could let us know what your dreams are when we return? We think it time that we stop ignoring our children and be the parents we need to be.
Love your Parents.
P.S. Jazz is in charge until we get back. No parties!"
"Oh come on! That wasn't my fault! That was Tucker and Sam's idea!" Danny yelled.
Last year, when Danny parents left town, he invited Sam and Tucker over and the two decide to throw a party. Danny try to stop them, but it got out of hand. When his parents came back, his friends bail on him, leaving him to clean up the mess and was grounded for a month. They still haven't made up for it.
Nonetheless, Danny grab his lunch and started to eat waiting for his sister to come down. It was really quite without his parents home, so quite it made Danny a little uneasy. He remain at the table and stood on guard. He was sure Jazz was on her way down, but he knew to be careful just in case.
Danny waited and waited but Jazz still didn't come down. He was having a bad feeling about this. Danny soon walk upstairs and towards Jazz's bedroom door. He stop and knock on it.
"Jazz? Is everything alright?" He asked.
"Danny? What time is it?" Jazz voice was heard.
Danny breath a sigh of relieved. After Trick had taken Jazz, Danny grew a bit worry whenever he doesn't heard from her. But he does make sure to give her room.
"It's almost one. I was getting worry." Danny explain.
"Sorry little brother, guess I was more tired than I thought." Jazz said.
"You're sure you didn't dream about Henry again?" Danny smirk.
He heard Jazz fall, most like she was still in her bed, and then heard the sound of a closet opening and closing before the door open to show Jazz in her PJ's.
"DANNY!" She shouted her face red.
"I'm kidding! But really, I cool with it. Henry a good guy, You did say you were taking it slow." Danny said chuckling.
"Yes, we are. We may not be dating yet, but I can tell he a good person to be around. Where's mom and dad?" Jazz smile then asked.
"They went on the trip without us. Left a note though. They actually want to know what our dreams are when they return." Danny explain.
"Really? I hope they are too hurt on what we said to them. We were pretty tired." Jazz said, feeling a little guilty they hurt their parents feelings.
"Yeah, I know. But it looks like it just the wake up call they needed." Danny smile.
Jazz nods and decides she has to get ready for the day.
"I'm going to hit the shower Danny. Maybe after I eat when can do something together? We have done anything like like this in a long time." She told Danny.
"Sure, Henry going be helping his mom out today. Fred is with his father and Liv said something about talking to her parents about a wedding?" Danny said before getting confused look on his face.
"A wedding?" Jazz asked.
"Not really sure, but Liv was saying something about being too young to get marry." Danny said.
Jazz giggle, knowing what Liv was talking about. Danny still look confused when he heard her.
"Don't worry about it. I talk to you when I get out." Jazz said and walk towards the bathroom.
"Why would Liv be worry about being marry with someone?" Danny asked out loud.
"WHAT?! EVEN LIVIA PARENTS WANT THEM TO MARRY?!" King shouted in surprise.
Vlad, Trick, Ice Queen, and King was watching Danny through the secret camera and heard everything. From Danny and Jazz finally telling their parents they want nothing to do with ghosts, to hearing them talk about spending the day to together.
"Well, that's a nice surprise." Vlad smirk.
He knew Livia was close to Danny and she had the same crush on him like he does with Maddie. True be told, he does hope for them to get together. Only if Danny could get a clue.
"Well, can't say I'm surprise. I thought he was a nobody at first, but now? He does seem to be the right guy for her." Ice Queen smirk.
"WHAT?!" King shouted outrage.
"So young love huh? And the boy doesn't know? He's clueless isn't he, me, we?" Trick smirk.
"He knew of his sister's crush, but he doesn't know about his own crush. With his father, it would make sense Daniel doesn't know that much about love." Vlad said feeling a bit sorry for Danny.
"Livia is mine and mine alone! I won't let anyone take her!" King shouted and stomp out of the room.
"Gezz, I thought Weil would at least do something about his love for Livia. Even when he was human, it was annoying." Ice Queen said annoyed.
"I'll talk to him about it." Vlad said.
While Vlad does talk about Maddie a lot, he does have some limits about her. He would never bring himself to harm her or her kids. It was Jack Fenton that he had no love for, not since he stole Maddie from him. In a way he and King have something in commend, but Vlad was far more careful about what to do.
"Should we go after him?" Ice Queen asked.
"No, let's see how this plan's out." Vlad smirk.
Danny and Jazz was walking around town. Heading towards places they like. Jazz wasn't like most girls, she didn't go overboard with clothes, jewelry, shoes, and all the things girls get. She did however asked Danny for advice for some of the clothes she got. Danny really couldn't be more than happy to get away from the girls section once Jazz was done. Through, he knew why Jazz was asking him about his advice with the clothes she pick. She was still talking it slowly with Henry, but she wanted to be ready for when they started dating.
'When it comes to books, Jazz is all knowing, but when it comes to a guy she likes, she completely clueless!' Danny thought shaking his head.
'Well, I hope these clothes will help. Not just me but Danny too. Once he wise up about Liv crush on him, he going to tell Liv what he really thinks about the clothes she picks out. Just hopes she doesn't go overboard.' Jazz thought also shaking her head.
The two siblings stop at a nearby store and bought some drinks and sat at the park.
"Got to say Danny, it nice hanging out like this. Feels like old times." Jazz said.
"Yeah and no Maverick or ghosts attacks for once! Really, they take the sleep out of me." Danny agree.
"What do you mean?" Jazz asked confuse.
Danny flinch, he almost told his secret to Jazz.
"Well, they sometimes attack at night right? I was woken up a few times from the alarm that went off. " Danny said knowing that was true.
Jazz raised an eyebrow at Danny's answer. While it true the Maverick Alarm sometimes goes off at night, Danny answer sounds like that was the most obvious answer in the world. Jazz thought back to went Sam and Tucker would try and follow Danny whenever the alarm went off. But everytime they lose him, either in a crowd or one of the teachers would stop them. While she does worry about Danny, she has no right to interfere with his life. At least he's spending time with her.
Danny sigh as he notices Jazz took his answer. He look up at the sky and had to admit that it was very nice. Maybe he could do this with Liv.
'Okay where did that come from?' Danny thought to himself.
He shook his head and took a slip from his drink. As he did he felt his armor acting up. Letting himself be connected with the Shadow Realm, without getting pull in there, he felt someone was right behind him and was getting ready to attack! Danny drop his drink and grab Jazz and pull her towards the ground just as something went flying over their heads.
Danny look up and was bit surprise to see a reploid that was dress much like a king. The king reploid turn towards them and growl.
"Not bad Fenton. But can you dodge this?" It said and raise it hand.
Danny eyes widen when it started glowing and act by picking Jazz up and jump back as a powerful blast hit the ground in front of them. Once they were away from the reploid, Danny put his sister down and turn to her.
"Get out of here Jazz!" He said.
"What, but Danny..." Jazz try to say.
"Listen, this is no time to argue! I'll be fine! Just go!" Danny said knowing there was no time to explain.
Jazz didn't want to leave Danny alone with the strange Repolid but there was something in her brothers eyes that told her he'll be fine.
"Okay, just be careful." Jazz said and hug Danny before running off.
Danny turn and started to use the Shadow Realm to find the king repolid. Danny has spend time mastering his connecting to the Shadow Realm. So far he could use to find where anyone was hiding as well as use it to hide himself. He found the reploid and it was heading for him. Luckily there was no one around and Danny use that time to call his armor.
"Armor of Shadows!"
Hidden Phantom stood ready as the king reploid bust out of nowhere and try to slam into him. Luckily, Phantom was standing in a tree shadow and let himself get pull into the shadows. The king reploid watch as Phantom seem to melt into the shadows. He was able to stop himself and growl.
"Coward! Come out and face me!" He said.
There was no answer, but the King Reploid flinch, felt that someone was behind him.
"Coward? What type of reploid try to attack a brother and sister enjoying their time?"
King jump back and turn around and started to fire his blasts. But Phantom started dodge them as he run up to him. Phantom jump in the air and hit King with a open palm. King was knockback and send crashing into a tree. He pull himself up and growl.
"For someone who looks like a king, you don't act like one." Phantom said standing with his arms cross.
"I won't let someone like you take my Queen! She mine and no one else's!" He shouted and stood back up.
He rush at Phantom and try to hit him with punches, but Phantom dodge them all.
"You are letting your anger cloud your jugements. You are making many mistakes in your attacks. I on the other hand..." Phantom told him before landing a punch on the reploid.
King gasp as the non-existing air left him. He took a few steps back trying to figure out what just happen.
"And I don't know what "Queen" you are talking about, but I don't ever want to see you attack humans like that again!' Phantom said.
"And do you think you can keep that up?" King said as he stood up.
Phantom raise an eyebrow at that question.
"Come now, do you really think I didn't know? My Queen is Livia Whitewater and you stole her from me...Daniel Fenton!" King said smirking.
Phantom look shock at that. Luckily the park was empty so know one heard him.
"How did you..." Phantom started to asked.
"Sorry, but that for me to know. Once I get rid of you, Livia will be mine." King smirk.
"Wait...Rick?" Phantom asked once he place the pieces together.
"That was the old me. I'm King now." King said.
"Rick, you breaking the restraining order." Phantom said knowing that know who they really were.
"That was on Richard Rich, not King." King told him.
'Darn it, he right! But where did he get that armor? No matter, I use my disarm tag to get it off him.' Phantom thought and stood ready to fight.
"Ah yes, you don't draw you weapons because I'm a human wearing armor. Well then, fight me and try." King said.
'Wait, he's calm now. His anger isn't what drives him. I better be careful.' Phantom notices.
Phantom rush at King ready to dodge and place a disarm tag him. King started to fire his blasts at Phantom who started dodging. King smirk and fire one big blast that force Phantom to jump over and towards him. King threw a punch but was shock to see Phantom dodge in mid-air. Phantom land behind King and place the tag on him. King turn around and fire another blast, but Phantom use the shadows to escape the attack and appear behind King and active the tag. But to his shock King's "armor" didn't fall off. Phantom was then hit by a punch as King turn around. Phantom roll along the roll before was able to stop himself by planting his feet under him.
"But how?" Phantom asked.
"Hahahaha! Nice try! But I'm no longer a human! I am now a Reploid!" King laughed.
'WHAT?! How is that possible?!' Phantom thought shock.
"And now to teach you that you don't have the right to be with Livia!" King shouted and rush at Phantom.
Phantom started to dodge King's punches and kicks but was caught off guard by fake punch and was kick. Phantom jump back and stood ready, still confused on how Rick became a Reploid.
'That doesn't make sense! There no way a human can become a reploid. The practice is too dangerous and the cost of lives will be too high if it fails. But somehow Rick is a reploid!' Phantom thought.
"You know Phantom, I was angry earlier. Angry that Livia's own parents wanted someone else to marry her when I have that right!" King said.
"You do not have the right! Liv is free to choose who she wants! If she finds the right guy for her, then I want her to be happy! She not some kind trophy for you to have. Liv doesn't have any feeling for you!" Phantom told him.
"And you do?! Livia was the one girl I knew that was right for me. She was beautiful, rich, everything! I wanted to show her how alike we are! I knew she would welcome me into her arms, but no! You stole her from me!" King shouted.
"No Rick! You don't even know her! She pretty yes, but she never like being rich! Liv saw the lonely side of having a rich family. She say there were many people declared themselves to be her friends but that was only because she was rich! Amber, Lee and Sarah were the first three people who became her true friends! When she move here, she met me and few other people that became her friends. Not because she was rich, because we wanted to treat her as a person!" Phantom explain.
"SHUT UP! YOU DON'T KNOW HER! YOU NEVER DID!" King shouted before raising both arms above his head.
Phantom watch as King energy started to build up in his hands then heard him laugh.
"It over Hidden Phantom! I win! Livia is mine!" King shouted and threw his arms forward.
Phantom gasp and saw that the energy that was building up was released in a beam. It was coming at him so fast there was no time to dodge or enter the shadow realm. The only thing he could do was try to block it by cross his arms in front of him. The beam hit him and Phantom scream as he was knock out of the park and into building that fell on top of him. King stop his attack and smile.
"Goodbye, Daniel Fenton." He laugh before teleported away.
Jazz quickly run over to the destroy building and started to dig. She was waiting at the park entrances for Danny before seeing a beam zoom pass her and heard a scream. She remove rubble after rubble before spotted a purple armor hand sticking out. She quickly remove more of the rubble, she had a hard time with the bigger pieces, before finally saw who it was.
"Hidden Phantom?" Jazz asked trying to check to see if he was still activated.
Jazz started to remove more rubble and soon move enough to pull him out. She heard him groan showing he was activated. She place his armor arm over her shoulder and started to carry him out of the rubble. Then the sound of tires was heard and Jazz look up to see the RV pull up in front of her.
"Jazz!"
"Mom, Dad!" Jazz shouted happy to see them.
"What happen...Hidden Phantom?" Maddie started to asked before noticing the Guardian.
"I'll explain later. Let's get him somewhere safe before that repolid attacks again." Jazz said.
Both Jack and Maddie was confuse, but one of town guardian's was hurt and need help. Jack took Phantom from Jazz and place him in the RV. Once everyone got in, Jack took off, trying to get them back home as fast as possible.
It was only after Jack lay Phantom on couch that they realized none of them knew how to repair a reploid. Jack decided they should let him rest for now. Jazz explain what happen after they were gone and started to clean Phantom from the dust and small pieces of rubble off him. As she did she notices that Phantom was breathing. Which confuse her for second. Reploids were built to be as close as human as possible. They were able to think, feel and make their own choices like a human. So many of them could breath just like them.
As Jazz clean Phantom, she notices that his mask was loose. She look at him and saw he was still resting. Taking a breath, she reach over to grab the mask before two hands grab hers.
"Don't...touch...the...mask!"
Jazz look shock as Phantom let go of her and fix his mask before opening his eyes and sitting up. He also held his head as he shook it.
"Are you okay?" Jazz asked.
"Yeah, what happened? The last thing I remember was fighting King then getting blast back and nothing after that." Phantom asked.
"Well, I saw a beam coming out of the park and hit a building. Worry that someone might be hurt, I rush over and started to dig with the rubble. I soon found you and once my parents show up, we brought you back here to help you. The only thing we could do was clean you up since none of us know how to repair a reploid." Jazz explain.
"I see." Phantom said.
'Glad I remain in my armor. It would be hard explaining to my family about what happen. Still, I can't believe that Rick is now a reploid. I need to warn the others.' Phantom thought.
"I want to thank you and your family for helping me, but the maverick is still out there. I need to talk to the other guardians about this." Phantom said standing up.
"Are you sure? I mean your still damage." Jazz asked a bit worry.
"My friends can take care of that. I need to be on my way." Phantom told her.
Jazz sigh and nodded. Phantom started to head for the door before Jazz gasp.
"On no! Danny! I forgot all about him! Damn it! He was at the park and I left him there!" Jazz said feeling stupid for forgotten her brother.
"Don't worry Jazz. He's safe, I made sure of it myself." Phantom told her.
"Thanks. Hey, how did you know my name?" Jazz said before she asked him.
"Harpuia told us about you. He seems to see you as a friend." Phantom said.
Jazz nodding and watch Phantom open the door before turning back to her.
"Tell you parents I said thanks. Maybe I'll return the favor one day." Phantom smile before leaving.
Jazz sat back in the couch. No one was going to believe this.
Vlad, Ice Queen, and Trick all sat in Vlad's lab, watching everything that happen. Soon King walk in feeling really happy with himself. Ice Queen notices him first and froze his body leaving his head free.
"What is the meaning of this?!" King shouted in rage.
"This is your punishment Rick. You nearly kill Daniel in your last attack." Vlad said.
"He took my queen! I had to remove him so she is mine once again!" King shouted.
"No King! We heard everything that Phantom told you! He is right! I didn't become Livia's friend because she was rich! I became her friend because she wanted to be treated as a person! Just because I think Danny is a nobody doesn't mean I hate him!" Ice Queen shouted.
"Sound like you have gain a bit of a crush on him, pim, mim." Trick laugh only for Ice Queen to freeze him.
"Nonetheless, Rick I told you that you can't hurt or kill Maddie or her children. Daniel might be Hidden Phantom, but he'll still Maddie's son. Now we are going to have a long talk about getting the love of your life back and how you should limit yourself!" Vlad said as he stood up and turn into his ghost form.
"Ice Queen, unfreeze Trick and get some rest. It going to be a long night." Vlad told her.
Both King and Ice Queen gulp at those words. If there one thing they don't look forward too is hearing the words "It going to be a long night', because that means Vlad is very upset.
Ice Queen nodded and unfrozen Trick. She quickly told him to zip and repeated Vlad words. Trick pale and nodded. The two left the lab leaving King to his fate.
And done! As for what happen to King with Vlad, well, I'll leave that you guys. Well Danny learn who King was and King knows about him being Hidden Phantom. Even as a Reploid Rick still doesn't understand why Liv doesn't like him. And Danny still clueless towards Liv's feelings. Don't worry he get a chance to know. But up next is Leviathan Family. And it going to be really different then Phantom's. Three chapters left before Season One is compete! Don't forget to review!
