The Seven Eternal Pillars Of the Seas

3rd POV
Percy watched Hazel curiously as her face turned into a sickly shade of green. He took a breath and walked towards her with a small smile. In the corner of his left eye, he saw that Frank was watching him intently, "Be calm, son of Mars," he said as he stopped before Frank. "For the quest has yet not begun."
Frank looked at him curiously, "What do you mean by that?" Frank asked.
"The path for death is but a shadow in possibility of things yet to unfold," Percy answered him. "Death is but another of life's great journeys. A gift from those of us who are eternal, unyielding, unchanging and yet evolving through the pass of time—who is my son. Time flows for mortals. To be eternal is to be beyond the grasp of time and its pull of fate and yet one who is eternal may choose to be bound by time and his consort."
Frank stared blankly at Percy, "Huh?"
Percy smiled, "Do not concern yourself with my musing," he said. "The quest you should think of is here and now not there and tomorrow. There and tomorrow may not be your destination."
"I still don't get what you're saying," Frank said as he watched Percy walk towards Hazel.
"Don't seek fortune amongst the stars and forget the favours of the earth," he explained. "Life is walked one step at a time. Leap further than you should and you will find yourself staring at the sky while trembling on the earth you scorned. Keep your mind focused and your heart true."
"But what does that mean?" Frank asked.
"Breathe and stop worrying about the future you can neither grasp nor control. Don't forget about the present," Percy clarified and advised. "An unstable mind during a mission breeds its own troubles and these troubles can grow and turn into calamities. Being nervous is fine within a certain scope, but once it exceeds that scope…Trouble lies ahead."
"What kind of trouble?" Frank asked.
Percy smiled, "Well that depends on the person," he answered. "I can't say with any certainty."
"Oh," said Frank. "But couldn't you have just said so in the beginning? You went round and round, so frustrating!"
Percy's smile grew deeper, "I could have done so, but where is the fun in that?" he said with his eyes glinting in humour. "In Ages past, my wife also used to say such the same all the time."
Percy walked towards Hazel with a kind eye.
Hazel watched Percy arrive with his eyes gleaming with understanding, "Nice…er…boat," she said causing Percy's smile to deepen.
Percy summoned ambrosia and offered it to her, "Here, eat this," he said handing the godly food towards her. "It will help with the seasickness. The vision that once plagued you are behind you. All that remain are memories."
Hazel looked at Percy, "How do you know?" she asked him. "I know you're a…what are you anyway? And how old are you?"
"A deity is the obvious answer. In age, I am older than anything you can ever hope comprehend. Even if you were to use the entire span of the universe to write my age down, you would hardly have one trillionth of my actual age," Percy answered her so seriously that her body couldn't help by shiver slightly. "I'm the first and most powerful child born of Chaos and Order, but how powerful? Even I do not know or perhaps I simply do not remember. But It is better not ponder things that have no worth. So Daughter of Pluto who is truly Hades, the answer to you question is that I am Percy in this life, in this form just as Reyna and Annabeth are but a portions of the greater being who is my wife Thesis. And yet in this life they are who they are. At least for now, for no man or woman can truly be happy with a half life. They must become one. I miss my Thesis as she once was in her true resplendent form."
Percy sighed.
"I should have kissed Reyna goodbye," he said without mirth.
Hazel was taken aback by Percy's change in demeanour. She had no words of comfort for the teen who was in fact an ancient being.
Hazel looked at Percy but chose not to reply. She honestly had nothing that could have helped him to begin with so she chose to bear his company in silence for a few minutes before she happened to see that something had caught Percy's eye, "What's wrong?" she asked worriedly.
A scowl appeared on Percy's face, "It's—" he was interrupted by the ship lurching.
A Sea green light burst from Percy's eyes. Frank came running towards them as the ship lurched again.
A sneer found it's way to Percy's face, "What's the meaning of this Nereus?" Percy asked derisively. The timbre of his voice was so ancient, so lofty and dignified that even world trembled in awe and veneration. "I'm warning you now. Stay out of my way little nephew! You are no match for me even in my current state."
Hazel and Frank had to fight the urge to fall to their knees and prostrate themselves when they heard Percy's voice. The urge came from the most primal part of their very being. Their bodies trembled and their knees very nearly buckled and felled them to their knees, but with every fibre of strength they had, they managed to remain standing but sweat had already licked their brows and caused their bodies to become incomparably weak. They had used their blood and will to resist Percy's voice and Shook could be seen in their eyes.
"You are not the Being you once were," a voice like a vortex said in ridicule. "Much of your power is dormant. Now I will claim what remains of your power for myself."
Nereus let out a ghastly laugh that sounded like waves slamming against a cliff face.
"Did you suffer from brain damage boy when I was gone?" Percy sneered. "Little boy, today I will teach you a lesson you wont forget."
Nereus strode calmly towards them while his hands wove spells to attack Percy, "Seven Eternal Pillars of the Sea!" he boomed. "By the Blood of the Seas, I summon you."
Tendrils of water began to rise from the ocean. Thousands of tendrils of water rose and rose as far as the eye could see and then began to congeal into the shape of the first Pillar. As the pillar formed the seas of the world trembled and dark foreboding clouds emerged with whispers of ancient might.
WHIISH! The winds whipped fiercely.
The Pillar turned as black as a starless night when it had completely formed. It was altogether the darkest pitch of black that was darker the foulest damned soul. The Pillar stood there as a sovereign god overlooking the world. It was the Eternal Pillar of the Black Sea.
Almost instantly a second Pillar began to form and the power that was released increased by twofold. The most startling thing about the second Pillar was that it was being formed from a sea of blood giving it a terrifying ambient quality of slaughter and death. Looking upon it would tremble the heart of all mortals in a sea of fear.
This was the Pillar of Red Sea.
After the second Pillar had formed the third Pillar began to take shape, this Pillar was different from the first two as it rippled of the surface. The first ripple caused the Pillar to turn a Bluish Green shade that contained a cooling sea breeze. The Second ripple caused the Pillar to turned Thunder cloud grey with an ominous air that permeated outward. This was The Pillar of Aegean Sea.
The next four Pillars were different from the three Pillars that had formed before. These Pillars descended from the golden light of the sun and the aura of the heavens. They were the most ancient Pillars in the world. Their power was not something the other three Pillars could compare to.
Thunder rumbled and the sea began to churn in their presence. The first of the grand Pillars that formed was the Atlantic Ocean Pillar. It gave off a majestic ocean chill that could thrill the heart of any true hearted sailor. The second Pillar was the Antarctic Ocean Pillar. It radiated out an aura of warding and repulsion. It was an aloof Pillar that stood away from the rest. The next two Pillars appeared to be Humble on the surface, but they radiated an air of danger and volatility. They were Indian Ocean Pillar and The Pacific Ocean Pillar.
The Seven Eternal Pillars of the Sea had formed and Foreboding filled the hearts of both Hazel and Frank.
Nereus stood atop the surface of the water with a gallant and jubilant smile. He thought that with Pillars his victory was at hand, "Seven Eternal Pillars of the Seas," he announced. "Converge and become one."
Percy stood next to Frank and Hazel and a slight frown graced his beautiful face, "You no not what you are doing Upstart!" he spoke softly. "With your feeble power and you wish to use the Pillars? Where did you buy this new found confidence?"
Nereus laughed manically as his body began to shiver with power of the seas, "Feel the might of the seas!" he bellowed with malice in his breath and heart.
The four Pillars had formed around the other three Pillars began to rotate and converge. The three inner Pillars had already answered the call of convergence and merged together. The other four converged slower than the three, but it was also extremely fast. For every inch that the Pillars converged, Thunder boomed even louder than before.
Percy summoned his sword with a heavy sneer on his face, "Fool!" he hissed.
BOOOOM!ZZZZT! The Atlantic Ocean Pillar Merged with the other three Pillars.
BOOOOM!ZZZZT! The Antarctic Ocean Pillar Merged with the other four Pillars.
BOOOOM!ZZZZT! The Pacific Ocean Pillar Merged with the other five Pillars.
BOOOOM!ZZZZT! The Indian Ocean Pillar Merged with the other six Pillars
"Pillar of the World Ocean," Nereus called. "Bind all life!"
The Seven Eternal Pillars had become one majestic Pillar made entirely from light. The light that could be found within cascaded down from the heavens and the rose from the Earth and Converged in the World Ocean Pillar like a Sovereign God of Life.
"Oh No!" Hazel and Frank said in their hearts as they felt the aura of the Pillar.
Percy shot towards Nereus like a missile with his sword in hand. The Adventure had just begun and they were already in dire straits. The three companions cursed their rotten luck even Percy who was charging forward.
Line Break
Reyna turned to leave when she noticed the shadow of Ananke, "Hello dearest?" she said as warmth found her words. "Have you missed me, my child?"
Ananke looked her mother and her heart sighed, "Of course I have," she said. "But that's not the reason why I'm here."
"I know," said Reyna. "So why have you come to me my child?"
"Mother, I…" she began.
Reyna tilted her head and raised her hand and Ananke felt her throat run dry and dared not continue speaking, "Come, let's go somewhere more private," she motioned for her daughter to follow.
Reyna led Ananke to the Principia. She went and sat on her dignified leather high back chair and looked at Ananke.
Ananke twiddled her thumbs in front of her mother. She was an ancient goddess, but looking at her mother she felt the same awe inspiring aura she had grown up with. It wasn't an aura of power, but rather an aura that is born from someone with great dignity.
Her father had a more relaxed disposition than her mother, but at the same time he had a vastly more dangerous than her mother. Her father although carefree was completely and utterly ruthless in anger. She also knew the full extent of her father's suffocating presence when he was at his true form.
"Mommy," she said subconsciously in her native tongue.
If anyone heard the words coming out of Ananke's mouth, they would feel their faces twitching in disbelief. Ananke was a cruelly impartial goddess that bore no ill will nor did she bestow favours to anyone, but to her parents she still inwardly felt like the same little girl that used to beg her mother to let her blow up galaxies and reform them in different shapes and colours.
She stifled a giggle at the thought of sitting on her father's lap while on a great ship as he wove the waters of time and space. She missed those days when they still lived in the Eternal Realm. Now that her grandparents had given their children a task that needed to be carried out before they could return to their own home and in many ways that saddened her deeply since only her father had ability to open the space bridge and traverse the waters of existence and decay.
Reyna was about to say something, but she felt an air of power pervading the world, "The World Ocean," she said. "Someone is summoning the World Ocean!"
Ananke Scowled, "Nereus, that little twerp," she sneered. "He dares to take advantage of Father's current state. I will turn him inside out. Mother, let me at him."
Reyna raised her hand and Ananke closed her mouth and squirmed in her seat like an obedient child, "There is no need, dear one," she said. "Don't emasculate your father of his fun for no reason."
Finally Chapter 6 is done.
