"What's wrong?" Your heart hurt at the sight of Lindsay's profile at the window. Her arms were wrapped somewhat loosely across her chest. Your could see her fingers shake on the arm that you could see.
She didn't answer. She just stiffened at your voice.
You carefully walk closer to her. So not to startle her too much. You paused when you were within reach of her. But you kept your distance. You didn't want her to feel closed in by you. "Lindsay." You spoke in a gentle soft voice.
"You shouldn't be here. You have work to do." Her broken voice left her slightly heaving chest.
"What's wrong?" You ask again.
"Nothing is wrong." She kept her eyes glued to whatever she was seeing outside. If she was taking anything in that is.
You move closer so you could rest the palm of your hands against her cheek; you felt her tears as they rolled onto your skin. "I'm not leaving you." You whisper. "Please tell me what is wrong Lindsay." You softly beg. "Let me comfort you."
She stiffens.
What can I do. How can I get you to trust me even more then you all ready do. Yet you don't trust me right now? What can I do. I don't want to mess this up. I can't mess this up. What can I do?
"Hold me." Her weak whisper met your ears.
You carefully moved so you were standing behind her; your arms reaching around her waist; and pulled her into your front. Your right arm rose so it could rest against her neck; and cheekbone. Lowering your head so you could rest your chin on the top of her head. "I got you." You whisper.
"Sorry that you have to see me like this." Her voice was so low that you had strain to catch it.
"I love you Lindsay." You husk. "I just want to take care of you. I just want you to be able to share with me on what is hurting you so much."
