I watched the muted screen disinterestedly, what I was interested in, however, was this week's host. I was aware the character the tall, dark-haired, handsome man was playing had once been a real, flesh and blood human with a shady past, but I didn't care. I was busy fantasying, as my crush moved around on stage, interacting with the other actors, about how perfectly I'd fit curled into his side.

Then, as if a divine entity had heard my self-pitying, longing thoughts, my crush tripped on something unseen at the edge of the stage.

Gasping, my eyes widened as the screen seemed to ripple and suddenly, unbelievably, my crush was hurling towards me. I caught him, his back against my stomach and chest as we both stared up at each other, dark gazes wide and unblinking as I held him protectively—possessively.

'Wh—? Ho—?' I wondered, he no doubt wondering the same thing. A brilliant light emitting from the screen caught my interested and, although I was reluctant to tear my eyes from the breath-taking, handsome man that was unbelievably in my arms, my curiously eventually won. I hoped and prayed that he wouldn't disappear as I watched the screen.

On it, was an anime I'd hoped to see but unfortunately missed. The colorful, clean-lined scene was in a hospital room with a boy in bed and hooked up to a machine. He lips read: 'Promise me we'll always be together.'

'I promise.' The girl mouthed back as she held his hand, squeezing lightly. The boy smiled blissfully, his pale eyes closing as the machine flatlined. The girl's shoulders shook in silent sobs, face buried in her hands as heavy rain poured down, swift and relentless. My eyes widened slightly as the room darkened, followed by an unmistakably rumble before it rained.

A dark chuckle prompted me to look down, relieved the man in arms hadn't faded and disappeared like I'd feared, "Well, I guess I won't be able to host the show." He said, reaching up to tuck a long, dark strand behind my ear as he smiled breath-takingly.

"Aw, how tragic." I replied, amazed my heart was still beating, a note of sarcasm in my tone as our lips met in a soft, passionate, searing kiss as his strong, warm arms looped around my neck.
