Loki left the Odinsleep Chamber quickly leaving Frigga alone with the princess and the Allfather. Frigga called to the guard, they carried Liya to the nearest healing house followed by the queen.
Hogun met the guard and the queen bringing the princess into a room. Hogun took the princess and applied a balm of his own creation to Liya's midsection. The black and singed skin sloughed off leaving the flesh underneath it very raw and red. The salve was worked into Amaliya's skin easing the pain that twisted the princess' face. The attendants bound her skin in white bandages and her clothes replaced with a light gauzy tunic and wrapped some more delicate fabric around her hips that covered the lower half of her body. All but Frigga left letting her rest amongst the many guards that were also healing.
She sat near Liya's side stroking her hand, "I am so very sorry Amaliya," she whispered. "Please stay strong, he still needs you," she pleaded with the princess, "now more than ever."
Liya heard the queen's words and despite Loki's actions to the contrary she believed them. She tried to squeeze Frigga's hand but couldn't find the strength.
"Don't try to move child," Frigga told her.
Amaliya opened her eyes looking at the Frigga, her vision blurred by tears. The princess nodded her head ever so slightly, it was then she heard it.
"Amaliya," the strong voice of Odin calling to her, "come to me child, I need your help."
The princess sat up, the pain in her midsection was sharp and burned making her hiss as she moved. Frigga tried to stop her almost pushing her back down to the table but Liya waved her off, she needed to get to Odin. The black haired girl planted her feet underneath her pushing her way forward. She then teleported to the Odinsleep chamber next to the Allfather's side to see him open his eyes, now revived from his sleep.
"Take me to Loki," he commanded Arkyn's youngest.
The princess nodded taking his hand and teleporting them the Rainbow Bridge now in ruins. Liya dropped to her knees trying in vain to make the pain in her midsection subside. Odin walked forward to where Thor was about to fall from the bridge and grabbed him. Loki was hanging from Gungnir and the Thunderer was trying to pull him up.
Odin turned having a firm grip on Thor, "Amaliya," he called her to him.
Liya pushed the pain down walking to the Allfather seeing Loki hanging precariously over the void of space. The princess edged as close as she could to the jagged end of the bridge reaching out her hand, "Loki please grab my hand," she yelled at him.
Loki looked at Liya in wonder. Here she was after everything that just happened and in extreme pain. He reached out for her grazing the tips of her fingers. Thor made a grunt of effort pulling the spear up so the Trickster could grab hold of her hand. Her grip was strong as she crawled back trying to pull him up with her.
"Amaliya," Loki said in awe of her power. He then turned his attention to Odin, "I could have done it Father! I could have done it! For you," he turned back to Amaliya, "For all of us!"
"No Loki," Odin whispered trying to pull both his sons from the ruined bridge.
Loki tried to let go of Liya's hand but she gripped it tighter, "Don't," she told him tearfully, "do not let go of me."
He looked at her his eyes so full of defeat, "I'm sorry Amaliya," he whispered.
"NO!" Liya screamed against the noise of the wormhole underneath Loki as he tried to let go of her hand once more.
Trying once more to push down the pain and pull the Trickster up from the bridge. She gripped him tighter still causing the Trickster to wince in pain, she was not letting go of him. He resigned to the fact that she would never let him go; it was then he let Gungnir slip from his grasp. Amaliya tried desperately to pull him up but the sudden pull of Loki's full weight being held by her hand along with the wave of pain that hit she could no longer hold onto the bridge. Amaliya was pulled down with the God of Mischief.
Thor tried to reach for Amaliya but he wasn't fast enough and they both slipped from his grasp. Odin pulled Thor up as they helplessly watched as Loki and Amaliya fell into the wormhole below them. Loki pulled the princess into him, his arms securely around her body as they were swallowed into an empty abyss. The Thunderer wept over the loss of his brother and would be sister this was not a fate that either of them should have endured.
News spread that Loki and Liya had been lost. As soon as they heard Arkyn and his sons came storming into the throne room. Odin had expected this, he ordered Heimdall to let them through no matter the hour. The boys were seething with rage having trusted their only sister to the Asgardians; not only had she been betrayed by one she loved but now she was lost in the emptiness of space, presumably dead. Arkyn was barely able to keep his anger under control as he approached Odin and Thor.
"Where is my daughter Allfather," he asked his voice was booming, echoing around the chamber.
"We have had no sign of Amaliya or Loki," Odin told the King of Vanaheim. His tone was smooth and commanding, "We will continue to search for any sign of them."
"This could have been avoided Odin," Andrei growled.
"Yes it could have," the Allfather retorted, "however none of us have foresight as a gift that could have prevented this tragedy."
"Rest assured Allfather," Arman snarled, "We will find her," he gave a tense bow glaring at Odin.
"Come my sons," Arkyn said tersely, "we should search for your sister."
"Arkyn," Thor called, "we will find them," he said trying to ease the tension in the room and his voice was hopeful.
The King of Vanaheim turned once more to the throne, "I care not if Loki is found, however I will know the fate of my daughter by any means necessary. Come," he ordered his sons again turning once more from the Asgardians.
Thor took a few steps toward the Vanir but was held back by Odin, "No my son, let them go." The Thunderer looked at his father confused, "They will calm and see reason, eventually."
