We were just about to reach our destination when we saw the lighthouse light up and lightning shooting out of it. "Look, a ray. That
must be where they are.", Tanner called out.
Suddenly Butchy held his arms out to stop us all.
"I gotta be honest with you.
I'm not big on lighthouses.
It's kind of a thing.
For some people, it's snakes, for some people, it's heights.
For me, it's lighthouses."
"Oh darling," I whispered while lacing my fingers through his.
"Oh, you can do this. We're all with you.
What do ya say?", Seacat tried to encourage him.
"Whoa! My fear is gone.
Let's go!"
Everybody cheered and started running again. I knew Butchy would try to run away, so Giggles and I stayed behind to make sure he wouldn't make a run for it.
Before we knew it, we were standing in front of Mack and Brady inside the lighthouse.
"Lela."
"Tanner."
"Lily."
"Mack."
"Brady."
"Problem.", Les Camembert said behind us.
"We are here to save you.", Lela exclaimed and then she and Tanner lovingly stared into each others' eyes.
We all started to destroy and mess up their evil lair, while "Surf Crazy" started to play in the background.
I saw Lela and Tanner untie Mack and Brady, while the rest of us tried to catch the bad guys.
Soon enough we were standing in front of the machine trying to destroy it or at least trying to shut it off.
"We can't break this thing apart."
"Wait. This motor isn't much different than a four-stroke, 500cc, flat-twin, air-cooled Wankel with shaft final and rear-wheel drive!
The kind you guys
refurbish all the time.", Lela pointed out.
"She's right, but it's too hard to get to without taking the whole thing apart, especially with these sausage fingers.", Butchy said making me giggle.
"Not for me, it isn't.", Lela figured out and quickly got to work.
All of a sudden she tripped and nearly fell off the machine if it wasn't for Tanner catching her last moment.
"Lookout. This whole thing's
gonna blow. Let's get outta here."
We all scrambled out as fast as we could to make sure we wouldn't be blown up.
Next thing we knew Mack, Brady and I were standing in front of Big Mommas wearing knew clothes and waiting for the others to catch up to us.
"What is this?
How did... how did we get back here?", Mack asked totally confused, while we inspected our new clothes.
Mack was wearing an orange bikini and Brady was wearing a white brown surfer shirt with some shorts, while I was wearing a red summer dress with Butchy's jacket draped over my shoulders.
"It's exactly where we're supposed to be.", Brady realized.
"The movie's back on track.", I whispered sadly.
"We can leave.", Mack finished somewhat disappointed.
The others had finally caught up to us, while we heard Lela and Tanner talking.
"You did it."
"Of course! Because girls can do anything boys can do."
When they reached us I moved, so I was standing next to Butchy and leaned my head against his shoulder.
"We gotta get back home.", Brady tried to explain to Lela and Tanner.
"What?
No. Stay. You'll love it here.
It's always just like this.
Perfect.", Lela tried to convince us to stay.
"Where we're going, it's perfect, too.
I'm gonna make sure of it.", Mack assured them while looking at Brady.
I tried to hold back my tears because even though I believed Mack, I simply didn't want to leave.
I had fallen in love with Butchy and my friendship with Lela and all the others meant so much to me, that I couldn't just leave them behind.
I knew what my decision would be.
"Hey, you guys saved Big Mommas.
And for that, we are, to
you, gratefully grateful.", Butchy said while looking at us three.
"Ever since you guys got here, it's
been, like, it's been a different world.
It's not just because of us."
Suddenly Lela took off her necklace and gave it to Mack while holding onto my hand.
"Friendship forever."
"Forever.", Mack and I replied in unison.
Butchy turned to me and gave me a sad smile.
"I guess this is goodbye..", he said, while pulling me into a big hug. When we pulled apart, I pulled him in for a kiss. Afterwards, I let go of Butchy's hand and walked up to Mack and Brady.
"I can't do this.", I whispered. "I can't just go back home when I know that I'll be leaving my heart here."
"But Lily..", Brady tried to talk me out of it. Mack stepped in front of me and gave me a sad smile.
"You've known for a while you would stay here, didn't you?"
"I was playing with the idea for a while, but Mack you and Brady are the only thing I have back home and here I just feel like I can be myself. I hope you know that doesn't mean I don't love you both.", I tried to make her understand.
"Don't worry! Friendship forever, remember?", she answered while pointing at the necklace.
I drew both of them into a tight hug, knowing I wouldn't see them again for a long time if I ever saw them again at all.
"We're gonna miss you so much!", I heard Brady whisper.
I gave them both one last smile before going back to standing with Lela and Butchy.
"Sure you're ready?", Brady asked Mack one last time after they got her surfboard.
"Yeah.", she responded tearfully.
"Let's go."
We all waved and ran towards the water while Mack and Brady got ready to surf back home.
We saw them move towards the big wave and just like that they were gone.
We continued staying near the water in case something had gone wrong and they needed our help, but after some time, one by one we all started to head back into Big Mommas.
And just like always our outfits began to change and somebody was up on stage singing.
And while Butchy and I started to sway on the dancefloor, I couldn't help but be eternally grateful about my decision to stay.
I had a feeling I was gonna love it here, with my one true love and my newfound family.
The end
