So almost a whole year passed since I last updated. Wow, let's make sure that this doesn't happen again.
Also, we're nearing the end of the first part and to celebrate this, how about reading a brand-new chapter tomorrow?
Il Maestro
First Arc
V
He began to travel once again, meeting new people, sometimes even fighting even if he had wanted to forget about that part of his life, and he ended in a little village in the middle of nowhere.
His muscles has been tired by his unending travels (as he had walked without never stopping over the few months he had stayed in that time period) and by the fight that some thieves had dared to give him, he had fallen like a heap of flesh and dirty clothes and also broken the promise he had done to Reborn years ago. Goodbye always acting irreproachably no matter what happened.
He had slowly closed his eyes and had let himself fall in the darkness of unconsciousness with a small satisfaction. He was probably going to die there.
That mere thought angered him, making his inner warrior's instinct come forth. That was also what made him realize that something was approaching him, and he came out of his trance-like state to find himself in front of two dark eyes that he was really familiar with.
His lips slightly opened, and he smothered down a surprised gasp. He knew those black eyes, those two sideburns and that dark hair that had always defied gravity.
"Reborn," he whispered softly while he stretched a hand to caress one of the boy's sideburns.
The latter's eyes widened in surprise and Tsuna felt a pang of pain in his chest.
It was Reborn without being Reborn.
The young boy standing in front of him opened his mouth to give him his real name and the former Decimo surprised himself when he interrupted the boy. He didn't want to hear the boy's name. His voice, so young thought the adult, sounded so much like the Reborn from his era that he almost began to cry.
However, Tsuna resisted the assault of unwanted tears and continued observing the teenager with keen eyes.
The latter showed every sign from a problematic childhood, his skin harshly marked by the sun and the dietary insufficiency. Shadows of old bruises were clearly visible for the tired adult's keen eyes and he wondered how that Reborn who looked so weak would become his incredible home tutor in the future.
He furrowed his brows just as a wild idea began to take shape in his mind.
What would happen if he were to take the boy under his wing? If he taught him how to fight and told him about the Millefiore threat? Reborn would probably know how to deal with it. Better than Tsuna had done.
However, would Tsuna be a good enough teacher for the teenager? He was No-Good-Tsuna after all, the one who had failed in everything and had to run away from his own time period because everything had only been heaps of destruction.
He briefly hesitated to ask the fated question to the boy. The teen's eyes sparkled when he heard the adult's proposal and Tsuna knew that there was no way out.
Not that he had ever wanted to.
The training hadn't been at all like Reborn had thought it would be. Once Tsuna had picked their new home, they had left the Vongola manor and went back on the streets. However, their travels weren't as silent as they had been before and Reborn found himself frequently breathless from talking so much with his newfound mentor.
Once they left Italy, they definitively settled themselves in a little chalet in Switzerland, which surprised a lot the teenager.
He would never have thought that his new mentor would choose such a mountainous country. Also, it looked a lot like his former home and the boy sometimes found himself thinking of his childhood. But he always pushed those thoughts away as he was now living way more amusing things with his mentor.
"Wakey, wakey, sleepy head, the sun's up and so should you!" a deep baritone languorously whispered in the sleeper's ear.
Reborn slowly cracked open an eye and immediately woke up when he realized in what kind of situation, he was in.
"No," he whispered in horror. "Not this..."
"Let's see," the other exclaimed while he childishly pouted. "What should I do? Let my adorable and extremely cute student in his bed or yield to this horrible desire to let him fall in this pretty blanket..."
"It isn't a blanket!" Reborn shouted as he began to fight against Tsuna's hold. However, his mentor didn't seem to even notice his action as his arms stayed tightly holding him. "It's fucking snow! If I fall in there, I would end fucking sick!"
The embrace that had helped him stay out of the snow suddenly vanished and the teenager found himself falling until he harshly collided with the snowy ground. He let out a string of curses while he tried to get up and when he finally got out of his wet blanket and stood barefooted in the snow, he froze when he noticed his tutor's disapproving eyes.
The latter had folded his arms over his chest and was slowly shaking his head with a pout that showed how crossed the man was.
"Please, remind me," he said after a long silence during which he observed his student's shivering body in the middle of the snow. "What is the first rule?"
"Always be classy," groaned the teenager.
"That's it," Tsuna nodded slowly as his eyes slightly narrowed.
He put his hands over his hips, looking down at Reborn with a cocky little smirk. His brown eyes lightened with a familiar spark that made the teenager want to moan when he recognized it.
He was so going to suffer.
"And what is the punishment if you were to break this rule?" his mentor asked while a sadistic smile took its place on his lips.
Goddammit! That bastard was enjoying this too much!
Reborn muttered something through his shuddering teeth. However, he wasn't rewarded by the permission of going back in the chalet but only got another sadistic smirk.
"I didn't hear that..."
The teenager glared daggers at the adult and swore that, someday, he would give him the same treatment. No matter how much time it would take him, he would make that damned Japanese man suffer the same hell he had to live since he had accepted to follow him. Reborn swore it on his pride and newfound name.
"Every breach of the first rule would be punished by the sixth punishment," the boy ended saying with a louder voice than before.
"And what is that punishment?" Tsuna all but purred his question.
"C..."
He couldn't say it! He refused to say it!
"C...?" the adult repeated while he looked with mirth at his student.
"C-Cro..."
Goddammit, it was just so hard to say! Reborn blushed and cursed his mentor for making him sleep in his underwear (they didn't have enough money to pay for pyjamas, Tsuna always argued). Why did he have to throw him in the snow when it was so fucking cold? Did Tsuna want him dead?
"Cro...?"
"Cross-dressing," Reborn finally said with a grimace of pure terror.
"Cross-dressing," Tsuna approved with a smile that coloured his dull eyes. "That's right."
So, yeah. New chapter tomorrow. Review?
