Hello, who is ready to suffer through whatever this is?
Nobody? Cool, let's go.
Il Maestro
Second Arc

They left Japan a couple of months after they had arrived. Tsuna had taken that time to visit his home country and teach his first language to Reborn, a nostalgic smile on his lips whenever they came across a familiar landscape.
Then, they retook their missions for the Vongola family under the Ninth's orders. And, just as they were busy tracking a group of hitmen who had attacked one of the Vongola warehouse in Canada, they got the phone call.
The Vongola Nono wanted to see them.
Tsuna shut close the phone (which was way heavier than the smartphones he'd used back in his time) and put it back in his backpack. Then, meeting Reborn's eyes from where the dark-haired man was posted and hidden on a tree, Tsuna gave him a slow nod. Reborn pursed his lips and carefully settled his sniper riffle. He couldn't fail his shot since Tsuna wanted to end it all as fast as possible.
With the fluidity that came from years of training, he aimed at the window where a head could faintly be seen and pulled the trigger. Since his riffle was equipped with a silencer, the bullet flew without too much noise and broke the window before it made their target's brain splatter. Tsuna jumped at the same time through the window and attacked the rest of the hitmen. Reborn could faintly see flashes of orange flames from his spot and decided to leave the tree branch. Even if Tsuna never had any problem dealing with such numbers of opponents, he still wanted to be close if his lover needed any help.
Once the fight was over, the dark-haired hitman opened the front door of the unsuspicious looking shack and admired their work. The man he'd killed seconds earlier was still laying on the ground, his blood dirtying the wooden floor, while the rest of their targets were tied together with faint scorch marks over their bodies.
"What now?" Reborn asked as he calmly sat down on the only chair left standing.
"Torturing them so we find our mole," Tsuna answered while his hands caught fire.
One of the tied men, who hadn't fainted yet, shuddered as he met his orange eyes filled with violence and started blubbering his associates' names.
An amused smirk flickered over Tsuna's lips and he turned around to give Reborn a knowing look. The latter sighed heavily and stood up slowly, calmly untying his tie. He threw it to his lover and then looked at the hitmen laying on the dirty and bloody floor.
"So, leave nothing that can be charged against us?" Reborn whispered.
Tsuna nodded with a wry grin. His former student took out his favourite gun and aimed at the closer hitman's head.

"You need a catchphrase!" Tsuna commented lightly once they left, the shack burning down behind them.
Reborn quirked a surprised brow and tilted his head forward while he tied his tie.
"I mean," his lover added with a smile, he softly slapped away the dark-haired man's hands from the tie and promptly tied the knot around his relaxed neck. "A phrase you'd always say whenever you kill someone."
"You want me to say something like 'Sayonara Baby' whenever we end a mission?" the younger man said with his brows raised, and he shook his head.
Tsuna stopped right on his tracks and joined his hands on his back, his eyes resolutely looking at the top of his shoes with a small frown. Reborn glanced at the perfect Windsor knot of his tie and then glanced at his lover.
"Not in Japanese," Tsuna finally said with a soft shake of his head. "You know what it does to me… Just one word would be enough."
Reborn leaned over the brunet and carefully took his chin so he could briefly kiss his chapped lips.
"As for the reason…" Tsuna whispered once the kiss ended. "Do I ever need a reason for messing with you?"
"True," Reborn smiled. "What do you think of 'Chaos'?"
"I like it," the older man nodded. "By why that word?"
Reborn merely kept his mysterious smile on his lips and started walking. Tsuna frowned and quickly joined his side.
They took the earliest flight they could and travelled to Italy, both wondering silently what the meaning behind the new Vongola Don's call could be.
However, Reborn would have never thought of this.
"I want you to be my sons' personal tutor, Tsuna."
The brunet blinked and felt his former student shuffle closer to him, the couch they sat on creaking slightly as he did so, and silently take his hand.
"I thought I had been clear," Tsuna answered after a long time spent observing the man sitting in front of them. "Reborn was my student. There will never be another."
The Vongola Nono sighed heavily and softly put his cup of tea on the table separating him from the famous hitmen couple. Then, with just as much poised grace, he pushed a file on the table. Tsuna took it and opened the file with a blank face. His eyes slowly darkened, and a frown followed soon enough before he threw the documents on the table.
"I didn't know I was being investigated," he hissed angrily.
"Don't take it personally," the Don told him with a smile. "But your… eternal youth seems to attract a lot of attention and people are starting to ask questions. Many of them think that Reborn was the one to take you under his wing and slowly groom you into a perfect hitman…"
Tsuna clenched his fists and Reborn silently touched one of his hands to remind him to keep his calm. The brunet took a deep breath and forced himself to relax, briefly thanking his lover with a grateful look.
Meanwhile, the Vongola Nono took note of their actions and pursed his lips when he thought about what was to follow. He knew better than anyone how much they wouldn't like it. The younger of them would probably be the worst, he had the most unshakable and unbreakable faith towards his former mentor. If the Vongola ever went against Tsuna, the Ninth knew that they would end losing a hitman with an unlimited potential.
"And let's not forget you're not as quick as you once were, Tsuna," he reminded them with his usual smile. "We have noticed your slow speed and efficacy decreasing… as well as the worrying increase of injuries…"
Tsuna tensed and his left hand quickly went over his right wrist while his student looked at him with a surprised and shocked face. Reborn harshly pushed away Tsuna's hand and quickly pulled up his sleeve on the right arm, watching with horror the bloodied bandages over his forearm.
"Tsuna," Reborn whispered as his fingers hovered over his injury.
The brunet avoided his eyes and glared at their boss' smiling face.
"Anyone can have a bad week," he said through his gritted teeth.
"A bad week that can last for months?"
Tsuna gave him a dark glare and suddenly stood up. He stomped to the door but one of the Ninth's guards stopped him just as he was going to open it. The brunet clicked his tongue in annoyance and turned around to glare daggers at the Vongola Nono.
"Let me go," he hissed threateningly.
"Teach all you know to my sons."
"Timoteo Vongola," Tsuna coldly said, surprising Reborn who had never heard his lover speak that harshly to anyone out of a mission. "Enough. When I joined the Vongola, I asked for only one thing."
"We would never ask you anything about your past," the Ninth completed with a raised brow.
"And I'd never be forced to teach what I know," Tsuna ended with a blank voice. He turned around and faced the door. "The deal is broken. I'm leaving the Vongola family."
And, just as he spoke those words, his hands caught fire and he swiftly knocked down the guard holding him. Tsuna opened the door and turned his head to glance at his former student with a soft smile.
"What will you do, Reborn?"
The latter merely shrugged and gave a respectful nod to the Ninth Vongola Boss.
"It was a pleasure to work for you," he said with a polite voice. "Chaos."

"Well!" Timoteo commented with a bright smile once the couple of former Vongola hitmen left his office. "It went better than we hoped, Mother."
An old and yet strong looking woman came through a hidden passage, putting back the tapestry that had hidden her presence from the pair earlier. She smiled to her son and carefully sat next to him.
"Tsuna has always been such a complicated being," she whispered to him as he gave her a cup of tea. "We will probably never know why he wanted us to act like that…"
Hello children, it's question time...
Why would Tsuna ask the Vongola to act like that in front of Reborn?
