I swear to god, I planned to post this earlier. But, well, internet sucks right now so...
Anyway, I wrote this epilogue as well as the tiny bonus at the end while listening to The Greatest Showman soundtrack. Please help me get out of this musical hell.
Il Maestro
Second Arc
VIII
When Reborn came back to his senses, he was still laying on Trident Shamal's couch and had a killer headache.
"So?" the doctor asked him while he gave him a glass of tepid water.
Reborn frowned and looked down at his infantile fists clenching over his glass of water. Then, he finally felt his mind get to work and understood what had happened. He had tried to forget something. Or maybe someone.
Someone who had had a really important part in his life.
The cursed baby's heart clenched painfully, and he took a deep breath to keep his calm.
"It worked," he chirped to Shamal before he jumped back on his feet and got away from the rundown office.
Without even noticing it, Reborn checked the knot of his tie and carefully put his favourite hat on his ruffled hair. His shoes shined under the brilliant Italian sun and Reborn glanced approvingly at his reflection on a window shop.
Rule number one: always be classy.
He felt like this rule had a more important meaning behind those simple words but shrugged. It was more than time he went back to work.
The Vongola Nono had tasked him with an important task after all…

Sawada Tsunayoshi had always been a child full of mindless fears and… well, kind of clumsy and useless.
However, Tsuna, as he'd have liked to be called by his friends if he had had any of those, did have something special about him, something that no one could ever deny.
His instinct.
And it was this instinct that made him start to run away when he caught sight of an adult wearing an iron hat and a weird checker mask.
"A moment of your time, Sawada Tsunayoshi," the stranger smiled at him while suddenly appearing in front of the runaway six years old child. "I have something for you."
"No thank you!" the kid gave a panicked screech and quickly weaselled away from the adult's grip. He had heard enough at school from the bad bad people who talked to children and then kidnapped them.
However, one hand over his forearm stopped right on his track and the child closed his eyes to prepare himself for the horror that would follow. He could feel his gut instinct screaming at him to run, you can't fight him! Run, run, run.
"And I am quite sure that you will like this present," the stranger added with his weirdly deep and airy voice. "Because it holds a very loved someone's promise…"
Tsuna's eyes widened in surprise as he pictured a familiar face in his class looking at him with a warm look, but he quickly remembered that this being shouldn't have known about his love life. This was bad and he really needed to escape. So Tsuna refused once again to accept the stranger's present and started to wiggle to escape from his grip.
"Really," the man commented in a whisper as he pursed his pale lips. "To say that I promised him I would give you this…"
"Promised?" Tsuna repeated with a weak frown.
He could feel his gut feeling slowly lightening, as if the danger was still present but wouldn't come if he made the stranger talk.
"A promise done years ago," the checker masked man whispered. "So he could see once again that beloved sunny sky."
Tsuna furrowed his brows and listened to his instinct. His gut feeling was telling him to stretch his hand, to accept whatever that man had for him and to listen to his words. The danger was still there but it wouldn't happen if he followed his promise. So, without thinking too much about the danger that could lie behind that weird stranger and this unspoken promise, the child stretched his hand, palm open to receive what seemed to be a perfectly innocent candy.
"If you eat it before you go to sleep," the masked man told him with his eerie voice. "Your life will change, and you will never be able to go back."
Tsuna nodded with a disbelieving look at the candy on his hand and quickly put it away in his pocket. When he looked back at the man, he noticed that the other had vanished and that he was now standing alone in the middle of an eerily silent alley. Gulping loudly in fear, the child started to run home.
Once the night came and he was safely in his bed, Tsuna remembered the conversation with the strange masked man. He took out the candy and observed with suspicion the innocent looking piece of sweet strawberry scented candy. Tsuna felt quite torn up, he knew that accepting candy from strangers and eating them was dangerous, he knew it. And yet, he also knew that he could trust his gut feeling which was telling him that eating the candy would bring him such a great happiness he'd never know loneliness again.
Tsuna closed his eyes, took a deep breath and put the candy in his mouth.
End of the Second Arc.
Yes, the Second Arc is over. But, wait! There's more. Here's a little piece of the final Arc, just so you know that yes, it exists.
Next chapter will be the first of the last Arc, which is named Maestri.
Because we started with one teacher but now, which is the Actual and Original Teacher? What happened to Tsuna? What is Checker Face's plan in this? Will the Arcobaleno Fights actually happen?
What do you think?
