12. Chapter 12

A/N- I am so so sorry for not writing this chapter of my Halo Reach story till now. It has not been abandoned at all. It's just, sometimes, I have to find the right words and such to begin the chapter and to keep this story going. Liara knew that she has to learn more of her mother's family. But beyond what she was told about her mother's gifts, she never truly met her. But she knows that her mother's spirit is as much a part of her as being squad leader is.

Later on, she found a quiet place to think when one of her squad mates sat down with her and kept her company. It was Luke and they talked about things till he had brought up her mother.

Both knew that Liara never truly had the fucking chance to meet her mother, Laura, but at least they and the others knew, that Laura wanted something better for her daughter even though her father is also a Spartan and commanding officer of his squad as well.

One day, Nova was given a top secret mission to do while Noble stayed behind as back up if the younger squad needed them. They arrived at the place where Liara's mother's family resided until someone or something rousted them and Noble needed to find them or evidence of what had happened there.

They looked for clues as well, but couldn't even find all that much of course, but there are other ways of finding out more secrets and sussing them out of course for Liara, it's pretty easy for her to do so without even thinking about it.

Aside from that, everyone knows that Liara is one very special Spartan as well due to her mother's abilities and her good looks. Besides that, Liara was one odd Spartan to say the least.

Still, Liara knew, within her own heart and still, she fucking knew that she had to fucking follow her own heart in all things. She knows that she's different beyond being a Spartan due to her mother's side of the family and that is what Liara wants to find out more about. Her mother's family beyond what her father even knows when he married her.
