Sequel to The Vacation
Chapter 1
A heavy downpour of rain blanketed Jump City as Starfire, a member of the Teen Titans lands right outside of Titans Tower where she lives with the other three team members, Starfire has just come back from a wonderful vacation where she met and fell in love with Shayera Hol, Starfire closes her eyes and sees the vision of her Thanagarian lover, those piercing green eyes that could hypnotize and captivate Starfire all at once.
"What have I gotten myself into?" Starfire says to herself before she goes inside the tower.
The Watchtower,
Shayera walked the hallways of the Watchtower purposefully, that vacation really had helped her recharge and reevaluate many things in her life, as she passed one of the Training Rooms Shayera sees Vixen and Fire grappling with each other.
'Ok, since when did Mari spar with Beatriz?' Shayera thought as she watched the Brazilian use a judo flip on Mari, putting the ebony heroine on her back. Shayera had expected Mari to explode in anger, but the complete opposite happened,
Mari leaned up gently and kissed Beatriz on the lips. Shayera's jaw dropped as she kept on walking towards her quarters.
"And just where have you been?" John Stewart, one of the Green Lanterns in the League and Shayera's Ex asks coming up to the flustered redhead.
Before Shayera could answer, a petite Asian wearing a midnight blue one-piece, matching heeled boots, and a cape strode up to John and Shayera. The woman's happy expression dissolved as soon as she sees Shayera.
"Konnichiwa, John, my love. We're still going out to dinner tonight?" the Asian woman inquires, glaring directly at Shayera as she speaks, the Thanagarian disregards the other woman totally.
"Hitomi, I told you that I couldn't because I have Monitor duty tonight." John says.
Shayera couldn't suppress her smile, she walked down the hall to her room. As soon as she was inside her quarters, her communicator began blinking, picking it up, Shayera answers it.
"Greetings Shayera, my love. I hope that you are well and that your return to the Watchtower was safe and uneventful." Starfire said in her bubbly tone.
"Yes Starfire, my trip back was successful and uneventful, I hope that your trip back to your home was safe and uneventful as well. Shayera replied with a smile.
"That it was, Shayera, my love. Though..." the younger redhead trailed off.
"What is it, Starfire?" Shayera asks.
"I am already longing for you again." the Tamaranean said, blushing.
"Believe me, I share your sentiment, Starfire." Shayera replied, blushing herself.
Mari and Beatriz were leaving the Training Room after their sparring session, tired and sore, the pair were on their way back to Mari's quarters to shower.
In a deep region of space on an unknown planet, a terrible, horrific event is unfolding: Several lifeforms are being eaten and strangled by grotesque space squids called the Tarnal, it only takes three hours for a dozen of them to wipe out the population of the planet.
