A smirking Draco Malfoy was ready for the Twins, the next day.

He'd invited Curt along, but Curt had demurred. Draco couldn't tell if that was indirect support, or lack of interest.

The Gryffindors had specified a nicely abandoned corridor - Draco approved.

The world had turned on its head, apparently, Draco thought with some enthusiasm. Who would have ever thought he'd approve of a Weasley, for anything?

Draco had found a decent hiding place (for once, there were advantages to being slim and slender, and short.) behind a tapestry.

The twins appeared, smiling, and talking to each other while finishing each other's sentences. Like lobbing a ball back and forth over and over again.

"Do you think Malfoy welched?"

"Hope not. We've got some fun in store for him either way."

"Think he'll actually go through with it?"

"Whatever scheme he's running, it depends on going through with it, so yeah."

Draco Malfoy started a slow clap, emerging from the tapestry and then into the light - right behind where they were standing.

"Oh, there you are, Master Malfoy," One of them started.

The other freckleface continued, "we were just debating whether or not you'd show."

Draco let a sneer come full force to his face, "Yes, I know. I heard."

"Here's three sickles," the first twin said.

"Now, we want you to-" the second twin said, stopping in the middle and staring.

Draco had grasped the three coins in his hand, and with a subtle spell, had made them nine. He smirked at their awed expressions, "I think you could use a partner in crime, not a willing servant." Draco shoved his hands in his back pockets, turning away from them and whistling. He turned only his head back, "You could pay me, and get my hands. Or we could work together, and I'd willingly give you the fruits of my mind."

"he sure does talk purty, doesn't he?" One fo the twins drawled, an impression of Goyle.

The other one grabbed one of the coins and bit it, "Sensible lad, though."

"What ideas you got?" the first continued.

"We'll decide once we see what you've got on offer."

"I'll give you a taste," Draco said calmly. First one's free.
