Heyyyy y'all….sorry for the...ghosting this story. I'm here to explain.

So to keep a short story short I...I don't like this story very much. Not because I hate the plot but because I kinda...screwed it over years ago. This fic was actually started while Korra was airing and I got as far as 12 chapters in before the show ended. I liked Korra as a show for the first two seasons but it just kept getting worse and worse until the point where I ended up hating the show long before it ended.

That and my lack of free time at the time killed the fic. In 2019 I tried to proofread some of the old material and started re-uploading it, only to get sick of proofreading it because of how terrible I feel it is.

Now clearly, according to the reviews, that's just a me thing. Clearly some of you like this series and I appreciate it but...in the last year, I have grown as a writer A LOT. Looking back at this series just makes my brain hurt because….I can do sooooo much better now.

I have a ton of free time now and I'm currently writing three different fics at once which are all much longer and higher quality than this one. They are just for smaller and less active fandoms than ATLA and Korra.

As soon as one of them ends I would like to come back and completely rewrite this fanfic from the beginning. Not just edit it but just do a complete rewrite. Same plot and it will still closely follow the show.

The only problem isssss...I don't remember most of what happens in the show anymore. There doesn't appear to be a free way to watch it and it is currently only streaming on a streaming service that I don't own, and won't be paying for simply to rewatch a show that I didn't enjoy the first time.

So as soon as I get my Violet Evergarden fic finished, and find a way to rewatch Korra for free, I'll be picking this back up from the beginning.

Alone Together and it's sequel Young Volcanoes are definitely the best writing I've done so far and the easiest fandom to get into without knowing the source material.
