Vegeta quickly walked through the long hallway to the healing chambers and infirmary.

He looked around, searching for someone until he saw a doctor passing by.

"You there!" Vegeta called to the doctor. He turned to face the Saiyan prince, a timid and almost sacred look on his face.

"Y-yes, your majesty?" He stuttered.

"Where is she?" Vegeta demanded fiercely.

"Your lover or your daughter?" The doctor asked.

"Both of them!" Vegeta growled. The doctor slightly recoiled back in fear; but he regained himself.

"Your daughter is currently residing in the nursery." He replied. "But as for your lover..." The doctor's voice trailed off. "She died giving birth to her. I'm very sorry."

Vegeta didn't say anything, only nodding in response. She died doing what she needed to do. He humphed and turned back over to the trembling doctor. "Can I see her?"

"Yes, she is right down this way." Vegeta followed the doctor as they made their way down to the nursery. He saw his daughter through the window of the nursery.

She was laying in one of the cribs, crying. She was a spitting image of her father, only female. She had onyx-black hair that stuck up like her father's, but with bangs. They shared the same tan skin, and Vegeta assumed she also had his dark eyes.

He checked her power level through his scouter. She had a power level of 600, which meant she was a higher class warrior. Vegeta smirked, slightly proud.

"What's her name?" The doctor asked.

"Nikita." Vegeta answered bluntly. The doctor nodded.

"Ok," The doctor replied. "You should be able to take her home in about a week."

"Fine, fine, whatever!" Vegeta barked back viciously in response. The doctor furrowed his brow and rolled his eyes as he walked away, leaving Vegeta alone.

Vegeta sighed. He continued to watch his newborn daughter through the nursery window. Nikita was now fast asleep, curled up and content with sucking on her fluffy brown tail.

Vegeta watched his daughter with a soft expression on his face. He smiled.

"I will always protect you."
