A/N- Sorry it took me forever again. Wow #WorstPersonEver. So a couple of you asked when the Big "I love you"s were. Alas they had not happened until recently ;) (aka keep reading). There's also the lingering question of what Kens slipped into stef's pocket and how Damon an the mom will ruin something or if they have a big plan. Next we'll find out about Kat's baby (vote for a gender if you would like) and we will get to see klaroline and kol x lexi (lol? Kexi?) and some bonnie and jer. *Stefan's POV

"So, I got you something," I say with a slightly shaky breath. This entire night had been perfect so far. We'd eaten and laughed and walked down the lake. w

We were currently laying side by side looking up at the stars.

"Our first date and you're already giving me gifts," she teases flirtily looking over at me. "Be careful, Salvatore, a girl could get used to all this."

"Well my gift was actually you paying for gas," I joke back and stick my tongue out at her. She playfully hits my shoulder and I smile at her. I shake my head and hand her the little white box I had pulled out of my sweatshirt pocket. She looks at it then at me then opens the box.

"OH MY GOD YOU DIDN'T?!" She yells sitting up fast and pulling me with her. I chuckle at her. "Where'd you get this? I lost it at the house in the outer banks when we were 8."

"You actually never lost it," I say. "I took it and was going to have it made into a necklace, which I did just 10 years later than planned."

She hits my arm harder than she had just done.

"i blamed Jer for that," she proclaims. " I looked for hours for a red piece of seaglass."

"Eight year old me thought it was a good idea," i say rubbing my arm slightly.

"Well its a little sweet," she says kissing my cheek. I go to kiss her when suddenly it starts pouring. She stands up and yells something about getting to the car. I jump up next to her and shake my head no.

"Wait I have to tell you something," I yell over the rain. She motions with her hands to hurry up. I laugh because she hates the rain.

"So, when we were younger I did terrible, awful, hilarious jokes to you. Every time Care, Lex, or our families would say our hatred for each other wasn't real I thought they couldn't be more wrong. I felt with my entire being that I hated you…" she cuts me off.

"wow Salvatore really sweeping me odf my feet here," she jokes.

"Let me finish," i say and she nods in response.

"But this summer I learned something and it hit me the other day in the barn. I LOVE YOU ELENA GILBERT!" i yell out over the thunder and pull her into kiss me. I rest my forehead on hers when we have to pull away to breath and she has a goofy grin plastered on her face. "Oh and just so you know I plan on annoying you every day for as long as you let me." She playfully hits my shoulder, rolls her eyes. "You're lucky I love you too Salvatore," she says pulling me back to the car. "Next time lets not do this in the rain. You know I hate it."

"Thats why i picked right then to tell you," I say starting the car and driving her home.

*The Next Day- Football Game-

*Stefan's POV

"SET, HIKE," i yell over the crowd of both schools and the cheerleaders. I drop back in the pocket hoping the line gives me enough time for this pass unlike they have for the past two downs. I look to Nik he's too heavily covered. I fake as the line breaks. "Shit," I mumble as I am forced to scramble again. Artie our tech guy has played Here comes the Boom every time I'm forced to scramble. I juke out of the way of one defender, stiff arm another, spin out of another, and I'm finally brought down at the first down.

Coach motions me the next play as the team huddles up.

"Alright guys just hold them for a couple more seconds," I say to the linemen. I glance over at the cheerleaders and see Elena and Care both giving Nik and I a reassuring smile. "Nik you and Kol do crossover slants. Matt run straight and fast I'm headed for you."

We break. Artie plays Heart of A Champion and Nik and I laugh. I point to him before we get focused.

"SET… HIKE" the ball is in my hand but the line breaks. There's a lineman headed straight for me and two from both sides. Damn it they blitzed. I have no man open and nonwhere to run. The guy headed straight for me lowers his shoulders to level me out and instinctively I jump. Miraculously I jumped over him and Matt is open I zip the ball to him as the guys from my side smack into me. I get up to see Matt dive into the end zone. Klaus and I run Matt I slap his helmet as Klaus yells "THATS HOW WE DO!"

*Elena's POV

After the defense unsuccessfully kept the opposing team's offense our team gets ready for the kick off. I look to the bench for Stefan but he's not there. Suddenly I hear the song that he works out to all the time, Bleed It Out by lincoln park.

"You're boy is just asking to get tackled as hard as possible," Lexi says pointing tl Stefan getting ready to receive the kick.

"What is he doing?" I say as the ball is kicked in the air. Stefan catches it effortlessly. He runs following Kol's blocking. When Kol is busy blocking Stefan sprints ahead. He jukes, Stiff arms, and before anyone notices its just him and the kicker.

"Salvatore is mono e mono," Artie says into the loud speaker. "He's at the thirty, at the twenty, at the ten. HE COULD GO ALL THE WAY…. TOUCH DOWN TIMBER WOLVES!" he takes off his helmet and points towards me winking as he walks over to Tanner.

"There's 15 seconds left they need to go for two to win," Bonnie says.

"Ten bucks Stefan pulls a switch run," Lexi says.

"Twenty says its a pass to Nik," Care says. As Stefan and the team takes the field I notice the signals Klaus and Nik exchange.

" thirty he hands off to Klaus its a trick play and he takes a pass," I say.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN TO GET OUR FAVORITE PLAYERS READY FOR THEIR WIN WE'RE PLAYING THE KLEFAN THEME SONG. REMEMBER THE NAME," Artie yells into the loudspeaker.

We take a deep breath as Stefan gets the ball snapped to him he hands it off to Klaus and runs to the right. He's in the end zone and Klaus zips the ball to him. The buzzer goes off and no one knows what happened. There's a pile of players. The crowds are silent as the refs pull kids off the piles. Suddenly Stefan pops up ball in hand. Mystic Falls goes wild.
