*Stefan's POV
I spin around quickly locking eyes with the icy blue ones of my brother.
"You're not suppose to be here," I say anger laced in my tone. I feel Elena grab my hand that had inadvertently closed into a fist"
"I didn't come for you, brother," he says looking past me towards Katherine who I am protectively standing in front of. "I came to see my pregnant girlfriend"
"Ex," Kat says stepping closer to me, her baby bump gently rubbing against my back.
"You get both girls huh Steffy?" Damon sneers his anger level rising in his tone. I can smell the liquor on him from his place 10 feet away. His glossy eyes a dead giveaway he's fucked up.
"No but we know I'm sure as hell going to be a better father figure than your drunk ass," I say as I feel Jake join my side.
"You should leave Damon," the little guy says and I glance down noticing him imitate my protective stance over Katherine on Elena.
"Even poisoned the little guy against me," Damon chuckles. "Such a Dad move."
I want to snap and rip his head off. I want to tackle him to the ground and beat the shit out of him but as Elena interlocks her fingers with my hand and Katherine place one on my shoulder I know I can't, not here and not now.
"What do you want?" I ask an cold calmness to my voice that even reminds me of my late father.
"To be a part of MY child's life," he says his eyes never leaving mine.
"Absolutely," I say an amused smirk stretching across my face. "You get to pay child support every month. That's your part."
"You'll be hearing from my lawyer," Damon states a matter of fact tone showing his over competence in the situation.
"You mean your mom's lawyer? Why don't you run along and play Mommy's Boy," Elena states and I find myself smiling over at her. God I fucking loved this woman!
This comment was enough to make Damon huff and storm off. The tense moment lingers before I cant stop myself from picking up Elena and spinning her around causing her to giggle.
"I used to hate that smartass wit of yours," I say still holding her in my arms.
"I know you did Salvawhore!" she says with an amused grin before giving me a quick peck as I set her down.
"Now you," I say kneeling down and looking at Jake who looks unsure of if he's in trouble or not. " I like that you were trying to protect my girl but you're still a little kid, stop trying to grow up so fast."
He nods before I scoop him up in a big hug and stand up facing Kat.
"Don't you dare stress about this I'll call Barnes," I say giving her a reassuring smile. "We'll make sure he's only in that kid's life on your terms."
"I don't want anyone else but you two big men taking care of this kid," Kat says quickly enveloping both Jake and I in a bear hug causing both of us to immediately reciprocate.
"We have the weirdest family," I say glancing up as Elena snaps a picture of the scene before her. "But I really love it."
