Author's Note: Been a long while since I did a Sailor Moon story. So…this pairing mostly goes to my good friend, Mike Powell. Hope you enjoy…including all of you. And NO mean comments just because it's yuri, okay? I've had enough of that from some other stories.
Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon and Minako Aino/Sailor Venus has overcome another battle. But this battle with a yoma has been a very tough one and the Sailor Senshi almost failed. Not even Tuxedo Mask was able to help. But Usagi would not give up and finished it with all she's got. When it's over, all she could do is look at the severely injured comrades lying on the ground. If she had acted quicker, maybe she could've prevented this from happening.
"Everyone…" she mutters.
Fortunately, Minako was lucky to have survived all that and comes toward her leader. "You saved everyone, Usagi," she says softly. "That's all that matters."
"Yes, but…"
"They'll be fine. All we need to do is treat their wounds." Minako puts her hands on Usagi's shoulders, firmly but gently. "And you and I are going to do it together. You're never alone, you hear?"
Usagi stares at the long haired beauty in front of her. She's right. Just sitting there moping isn't going to help anybody. She's got friends by her side and will never leave her. Ever.
"Yes, Mina-chan," the odango blonde nods in reply. "There's still something we have to do. Our friends need our help."
"Exactly," Minako also nods. "Now let's go."
Transforming back to their original selves, Usagi and Minako help their friends up, including Tuxedo Mask and head to their well shared apartment. Just as Minako said, they treated everyone's wounds and let them rest for a while. The two blondes clean up everything and head toward the balcony for some fresh air. Looking out at the night sky and the light wind blowing, making their long blonde hair sway gracefully, Minako turns to Usagi.
"Hey, come on," she says. "Where's that smile you always wear?"
"Huh? I thought I was smiling," Usagi says. "We had so much fun cleaning."
"I know you, Usagi," Mina says. "You were trying to force it. I saw it when we were treating our friends' wounds. You still looked sad."
"But…but…" Usagi bites her lip and slightly turns her head away.
"Usagi!" Mina puts her hands on her friend's shoulders, grabbing her attention. "Don't think about it! Just stay positive here! That's what you always do, right? So just try and show your real smile for me."
Usagi looks at the idol. "Mina-chan…"
The blonde beauty smiles a beautiful smile. "Please…for me…for everyone? Neither of us want to see you cry just because you couldn't save them. Pray that everyone will be alright probably by the next day, if not the day after."
The odango blonde bites her lip, just a bit before nodding. "Y-yes. I understand, Mina-chan. I've got to stay positive." Then, she smiles her best smile. The smile that Minako and everyone else knows. "Hehe~! How's this…Mina-chan~?"
Mina nods. "That's the Usagi we know and love~!"
They intertwine hands, lean in and share a passionate kiss under the moonlight.
