Chapter 46

The earth started to shake. The group found themselves in a hall that was tearing up by the second, as the tables and chairs all vanished underground.

"Is this the end of the world?!" cried out Donald.

"No, that is just from the power that the king is wielding!" answered Cloud.

The earth stopped shaking as the man stepped down the stairs. "Let's see how powerful these worthless ants are..."

"FIRAGA VORTEX!" Donald pointed at the man, throwing a fire vortex that consumed him. The armored king just raised his blade, getting rid of the vortex.

"Wha-"

"No time to worry about it!" Sora charged at the king, turning into valor form. He ran up to him, only to be repelled by him. Sora rebounded from the attack, countering by hitting the keyblade across the king's stomach. The king staggered, but only for a moment.

"Well. This is the first time that someone has caused me to pause. Who is your name, young keyblade wielder?"

"My name is Sora. What is your name?"

"Interesting. You want my name?"

The king raised his sword again, then proceeded to slash Sora up with a swing. Axel extended his arms, grabbing Sora and moving his out of the way in time.

"Oh! Nice!" said Xeno. "You seemed to have improved, Axel."

Axel growled. "You think you can mock me, huh..."

Sora got out of his grip, pointing his blade at the king. "I asked for your name!"

"Alright, alright, I'll give it to you. The name is X."

"Are you messing with us?!" Cloud rushed at the king, unaware of the king smiling. Instantly, he was blown away, flying into a wall. He collapsed to the ground, unable to move as quickly as before.

"You fool. That is my name." X pointed the blade in the air, gathering energy. "Once I am ready, I guess I will just kill you all..."

"No!" Axel, Goofy, Donald, and Kommamura rushed to land a blow on the king, but he powered up, causing them to bow down.

"You guys!" shouted Sora.

"Rrrghh!" said Kommamura. "Damn this X!"

"He is easily stronger than you all," said Xeno. "This is going to end terribly for you. And it only gets worse." He pointed up on the mansion. "You see, I have built a device that can destroy the planet - I mean universe - whatever, you get what I mean."

"Wait..." Axel realized something. "You are trying to blow up the time patrollers!"

"You didn't think that I would have predicted what they would do? Sad, really. Once you are all defeated, my device will activate, destroying the place. No one would even be able to stop me-"

"No you won't!" Sora concentrated inside of himself. Immediately, he heard a voice...

Sora. Are you aware of my voice now? The voice sounded like Kairi, only a bit more lighter.

Yeah, I was about to ask. That battle earlier...who are you?

Keybladers and Soul reapers are not really that different. Yes, one could be dead, and the other could be alive. But what most Soul reapers fail to realize is that they are essentially-

Look, interrupted Sora. I just want to know who you are.

That's funny, she said. You said my name already.

Sora concentrated hard. He did say the name. Who was it?

Think, Sora. Think about who you are. Think about what you are. You, who has fought for your friends, who can wield the keyblade, who can make friends with the people he has met. If you have taken anything from my run-on sentence, then you should know the answer to what I am about to ask you. What is your true power?

My power...comes from my friends! Sora suddenly saw the name. Yujo. The Japanese word for friendship. You are Yujo! My friend!

Power rushed into Sora, transforming him. His suit was still red, but the color seemed to be brighter. He had light armor on, surrounding everything but his face. His body radiated aura. As he summoned forth his zanpaktou spirit, his pokemon spirit also came out. His keyblade changed, becoming a blue and red colored sword. The keychain of a pokeball and a star were attached to his keyblade.

X and Xeno looked surprised at the transformation. "Well...that's new!" Xeno said. "That being said...you are still going to die."

X finished charging up his blade. "Die, 'heroes'!" he bellowed. throwing an energy ball at Sora.

Without a moment's notice, he rushed to the energy ball. He held it up, sending it to the ceiling. As it left Sora's grip, it doubled in power.

"NOOO!" Xeno realized where the energy ball was heading towards now. It ripped through the building, reaching the device and exploding it.

"Well...the keyblade wielder did it." Xeno relaxed. "Nothing to do now but to see the end of this battle."

X was immensely impressed. "You knocked away a blast like that! I have to fight you at my full powers too!"

X let off the pressure that was holding Sora's friends. They all collapsed on the floor, weakened and staggered at what they witnessed. X let off his true powers, releasing aura from his body.

"I wouldn't have wasted time into going full power." Sora held a posture where his one hand was on the keyblade, while the other was pointing at him. Suddenly, he rushed to the king, slashing at incredible speeds. X was helpless, trapped in an array of slashes until Sora ended it. He stabbed the blade on the ground, triggering an explosion that enveloped X.

"You...got...me...Sora," muttered X before he was completely in the explosion. As the explosion faded, the man was nowhere to be seen.

"Did we do it...?" Kommamura got up, shaken at what just happened.

"I don't know." Sora looked suspiciously at the hole left by the explosion. "We will never know what happened to him. X was not killed, that I am sure of."

"Still, though," said Axel, getting up, "you scared the both of them away from here."

Sure enough, Xeno left the area. Sora's friends all got up, injured. Cloud got up with the help of a woman carrying a sword.

"Blue!" Sora rushed to see her. She looked ashamed of herself, refusing to look at Sora.

"I lied to you about the book. I thought that I could have solved all of our problems if I used the book."

"Don't be harsh on yourself," said Axel. "You were fighting against a giant. Besides, we stopped him...for now."

"Where is he, anyways?" said Blue.

"I do not know, but...he left something." Sora went over to the hole on the ground, picking up an object. It was shaped like a summoning pendant. Inside of it was-

"Stitch!" Sora widened his eyes. "You're back!"

Stitch exited out of the pendant, licking Sora's face and putting him on the ground.

"I missed you too, friend~"

"Sora!" Stitch looked happy.

Blue smiled at the scene. "I guess he is the guy who trusts anyone..."

"Yeah, he is that type of guy," said Goofy. "Gwarsh, Sora connects with other people because of his attitude."

"He is one of those guys who you just cannot get angry at," said Cloud.

"I beg to differ," said Donald, with Axel nodding.

Blue and the rest of Sora's group looked on, smiling as Sora tried to keep Stitch off of him. Eventually, Sora put him on his back.

"Alright guys, we have to go back to the time patroller's world."

"Alright, let's go." Axel and the others left the mansion. They reached the edge of the fields, not noticing Envy hidden in the wreckage.

"Well, the boy has gotten better." He then activated a mouthpiece he had. "What do we do, father?"

"Leave them be and proceed to the Keyblade Graveyard." The voice was dark and commanding.

"Is it a little too early in setting that up?" said Envy.

"No, it is not. Based on the keyblader's power, we need to start out operations so that we do not fall down."

"Yes, daddy," Envy muttered. He sneaked his way out of the mansion, opening a dark void. Before passing through, he looked back at the heroes.

"Soon, we will meet again, Keyblade wielder. I hope you get much stronger than you are now if you want to fight me."

Without looking back, Envy jumped into the void.
