Chapter 54
"Where is he?"
"Keep looking!" Sora and the others kept searching through the bazaar. They have found nothing thus far. It would have been kept that way had than person not trip and hit Sora on his forehead.
"Owwww!" said Sora. "What was that for?"
"You brat-" Before the figure could talk again, Trunks hit him across the bazaar. He collapsed to the ground, unable to move out of a jar that was there.
"Take that!" said Trunks. The group rushed over to the man, but before they reached him, he got back up. He had an yellow aura surround him.
"You won't beat me that easily. Have luck following me." The man ran towards the desert. As if by memory, Sora remembered which direction he was heading towards.
"That's the Cave of Wonders he is heading to!" said Sora. "That has to be where he is heading!"
"We need to split into two teams," said Trunks. "Half of us stay here, and half of us chase after him."
"We'll go along with you!" said Aladdin. He, Genie, Jasmine, and Iago ran to the group.
"Alright then, Aladdin, Iago, Sora, Donald, and Goofy, you guys go to the cave! Everyone else, stay here!"
"Are you serious?!" said the Genie. "Why are we leaving our friends to a deadly fate? We don't know who that person was!"
"They'll be fine," said Jasmine. "Stay safe Aladdin."
"I will." Aladdin and Sora looked towards the Cave of Wonders. "Who's ready to head out?"
"Not yet. We have to get supplies from somewhere," said Donald. "Luckily, we just need ten minutes before we head out."
They ran back to a shop near the bazaar. The peddler who was saved before greeted them happily. "Is there anything I can do for my heroes?" said the peddler.
"Yes, we need some supplies," said Donald. "Potions and ethers."
"Alright, I got it!" The man bought forth a huge bag of items. As Sora paid for the items, aa small crystal shard the shape of a star caught his eye. "What is that?"
"Oh? This is an item that I found in some place. Here!" Goofy caught the item. "This is my token to you. Stay safe on your travels!"
They left the store and started to head to the Cave of Wonders. Aladdin looked at the sky with anticipation. "You know, for some reason, I feel like I should be looking forward to meeting this guy," Aladdin said.
Sora looked at him with surprise. "Why do you think that?" he asked.
"For some reason, in my heart, it just feels like that I should have known whom he was," said Aladdin. "I don't remember him, but apparently, he knows me."
"Gwarsh, he said that you have grown up so much," said Goofy. "Maybe if we get to meet him, we can ask him about it!"
"Maybe," said Donald. "But what we need to worry about is the fact that this guy went to that cave."
"Yeah..." Aladdin looked forward, pondering on the situation at hand.
Suddenly, heartless popped up. Hundreds of creatures dressed up as bandits appeared, surrounding the group. Donald shouted "AERO!" and a barrier of wind surrounded the group. Goofy rushed forward, bashing the heartless left and right. Aladdin drew a sword and started to slash at the heartless, with Iago skydiving into enemies. Sora closed his eyes, forming reishi around him. Sora then transformed his sword into his zanpaktou's shikai. Sora put his keyblade up, yelling "RAGNAROK!" Hundreds of light beams formed, flying up and heading towards every heartless. Hundreds of small explosions filled the area, and the heartless began to vanish.
Aladdin and the others put their weapons away. "Wow Sora!" said Aladdin. "What type of power is that?"
"It's a long story," said Sora. "Let's just say that I gained some power from my friends."
"Well, as that is, you have become more powerful," said Aladdin. "Who knows, one day you would be able to ascend the skies here. By the way, did you find your friend?"
"Yes," said Sora. "I know now that he is in other worlds, helping people out and stuff."
"Well, I hope he is fine and all," said Iago.
"He should be." Sora looked ahead, seeing a large object in the distance. "Hey, I think I am seeing the cave right there."
The Cave of Wonders is shaped like a large tiger's head. The mouth is wide open, with the pathway to a cave illuminated with red.
"Do you know if he is actually in that cave?" said Sora.
"Well, we don't have any other leads," said Donald. "We have to go and we have to make sure that-"
"But we don't know if he just mislead us!" Goofy looked behind him. "If anything, we don't know that this is an ambush!"
"I know that this could easily be a trap," said Aladdin. "But we have to go forward. This guy took something from the Palace, and we don't know what he intends to do with it."
"Alright, that settles it!" said Sora. "We are going forward into this cave and we will get to the bottom of this!"
The group headed into the cave. Sora looked back temporarily, suddenly feeling very anxious on what was going on.
Trunks sat down, meditating. The others were scattered around the Palace, with Cloud and Axel standing near Trunks.
"So," said Cloud, "what do you think is going on in this planet?"
"I think that some weird guy did something...do you think that I care much?" said Axel.
"What do you mean?" said Cloud.
"The way I see it, I don't think that this guy has anything to do with what is going on," said Axel. "I mean, for all we know, this could be a distraction."
"It just sounds like this whole adventure is boring for you," said Cloud.
"No...it's just that I want to have a serious fight and show off my power, you know," said Axel. "This whole time, I get my ass kicked, or I have something that I can easily incinerate."
"It's funny that you mention that." Trunks got up, looking serious. "My father had that same feeling at some points in his life."
"So you have daddy issues huh?" asked Axel.
Before Trunks could answer, a crash was heard. A huge nobody appeared, holding four scythes. Axel recognized the nobody that was right next to it.
"Well, I apologize for jumping to conclusions then," said Axel. "But first...we have to deal with a certain nobody."
"You know him?" said Trunks.
"Sadly...yes."
"Come out here, princess!" shouted the nobody, Marluxia. "The sooner you get here, the less dead bodies I have to pile up!"
"This does not seem right," said Cloud.
"My thoughts exactly." Blue came from out of nowhere. "So, are we going to sit here all day and hear him talk, or are we going to fight?"
"Alright Blue, let's go." Axel and the others ran to the nobody and attacked it.
"What the-" Marluxia's face twisted into hatred. "So, some random brats are attacking me, huh? Come on out, NEITHERMEN!"
A whole bunch of shinigami materialized. Axel shouted "Hey, spread out and take these guys out!"
"You will regret trying to defy me, Axel." Marluxia raised his scythe, and the huge nobody was poised to attack.
