Summary: A little flight under the stars, a little time spent with one another.

They didn't need to transform these days, but Wombat permitted them to keep their Loveracelets regardless. A memento of times past and love that bound them together – or so he had.

Of course he couldn't take away the rings of the former student council, but they never saw fit to set those aside. Kinshiro refused to forget the terrible mistakes he'd once, though he worked with all of his heart to move beyond them. He kept the ring to remind himself never to fall again.

And perhaps most of all, there were times when they all enjoyed going out for a flight under the stars.

Wings suit him, Kinshiro mused, casting a glance to where Atsushi sat next to him, his wide white wings spread outward to soak in the moonlight. Atsushi was, in his mind, an angel – and always had been. He knew in his heart Atsushi wasn't perfect by any means. But it was hard to remember that when they sat together on a hill outside of town, watching the lights of the city in the distance.

When Atsushi turned to him, his eyes full of starlight, Kinshiro held back a whimper by sheer force of will. How on Earth could someone be so beautiful and still be human? Atsushi had always been attractive. Getting older only made him more so and there were so many times when Kinshiro lulled himself to sleep just by imagining that face.

"Did you want to take another turn around up there?" Atsushi nodded up to the clear skies. "We should go back soon and we don't want to lose any time."

"You're right," Kinshiro agreed. At least he sounded normal, or so he thought. He hesitated a bit before he got up though, nerving himself up. He knew what he wanted to ask, but the words froze on his tongue.

Atsushi already stood up, his wings spread, and then he turned back to Kinshiro. "When we get back – do you want to help me take care of my wings?" The faintest hint of red crept up on his cheeks. "We're supposed to brush them before we put them away, you know, and that's hard to do alone."

That was almost what Kinshiro himself had wanted to ask. No, it was exactly what he wanted to ask. He could feel his own cheeks reddenig at the thought of having his hands on Atsushi's wings or perhaps even better – worse- Atsushi's hands on his wings.

"I'd love to," he managed to whisper, not daring to raise his voice to a normal range. He spread his wings and the two of them took off into the star-filled night sky. They didn't fly close enough together to have their wings brushing against one another but somewhere along the way, Kinshiro found Atsushi's hand brushing his, and without another thought, he folded them together.

He caught another glimpse of Atsushi's face and the smile they shared buoyed him even more than their wings and the wind.

The End

Notes: I love wings, honestly. Also, I am not ruling out a longer fic where they tend one another's wings.
