Sorry this isn't an update, but I was going through the chapters and man were they cringey. I'm going to try and keep bits of the old fic but hopefully better version of it. Unfortunately I don't think I can write first person without cringing a bit, if y'all want me to make a seperate fic for the original i'll be happy to. Sorry again, that last chapter was NOT an ending, just an attempt to get back into the story.

Sorry again.

Some details I feel necessary to establish:

AGES OF THE CHARACTERS:

Cyborg- 20

Robin- 19

Starfire- 19

Raven- 18

Beast Boy- 18

Kinda nervous, here we go.

Raven's Thoughts

Raven's Emoticlones thoughts

Beast Boy's Thoughts

The Beast's thoughts

Since the fall Trigon two years ago, Raven had little time to adjust to this new world of feelings. Her entire childhood was spent suppressing and ignoring, to be suddenly thrust into a world where she didn't have to be afraid to feel? It was...a work in progress to say the least. When she slipped into the familiar numbness her team was there to pull her out.

Cyborg and Beast Boy would make her laugh, Star would talk to her about their few shared interests, and Robin would usually spark a philosophical debate with her. Some days she felt as though she didn't deserve half the loyalty they showed her, and others it was the only thing keeping her going.

She looked up from the book she wasn't really reading to an argument that frequented the tower.

"-ABOMINATION YOU CALL FOOD!" Beast Boy yelled from the kitchen

From his post at the stove Cyborg yelled," DO NOT INSULT MY FOOD LIKE THAT YOU GREEN BEAN!"

"AT LEAST MY FOOD DIDN'T REQUIRE THE KILLING OF A THOUSAND DEFENSELESS ANIMALS." Beast Boy shot back.

Starfire tried to calm their arguing teammates, "Friends please-"

"NOT NOW STAR!" They both yelled in unison.

Any other day she would simply ignore the bickering duo, however that day was not today. Even though she spoke quietly, it was enough to startle everyone in the room, "If you two don't stop arguing this instant i'm going to throw you both out the window... again."

"Sorry Raven." They said, hanging their heads in shame.

Starfire stood from her place at the table, "Perhaps I should be the only to cook this evenings meal?"

"No no Star it's alright, see Cy and I aren't arguing anymore!" Beast Boy answered quickly.

Star smiled brightly and sat back down with her magazine.

Raven turned back to her book before she could get.. distracted again. The book was about ancient views of fate and destiny, it was rather interesting when she actually read it but it got her thinking about her own lifetime, if it was all meant to happen and what would life be like if things didn't happen. Would she have been a regular girl if her mother had never been chosen to be Trigons wife? Would the team even be together without the extenuating circumstances in which they came together?

Well that last one was easy, the team never would've even known each other. Kori would be queen of Tamaran, Richard would still be with his adoptive father, Cyborg would probably be in a lab somewhere inventing, and Beast Boy? Nobody knew enough about Beast Boy's past to say anything about where he'd be without the titans.

She looked over at the mysterious changeling, who was currently digging through the fridge for his emergency stash of tofu. Apparently at some point in the argument Cyborg had thrown whatever Beast Boy had out in the garbage. However it didn't stop the empath from wondering where exactly he would be without the titans, she knew Rita (who called often checking up on the changeling) was his adoptive mother, but that said nothing about the boy himself.

To be fair Raven you didn't share much of your past with the team until it was almost too late.

Yes but-

He has a right to his secrets Raven

Raven rolled her eyes at her yellow emoticlone's typical response. The thirst for knowledge apparently didn't come into play when it was a friend's past.

It's called respect Raven, I respect their boundaries and what they are willing to divulge to the public, something you used to share.

Yes and I still do of course, I simply inquired about it.

Inquiry leads to interrogation you know.

Raven sighed and put down her book that she clearly wasn't going to be able to read.

"Titans! there's a robbery in progress, we're needed ASAP!" Robin called from the living room.

Beast Boy and Starfire quickly fly through the emergency exit window they installed after seeing how much they'd use it. Raven opens a portal "Cyborg, Robin, come on!" she calls as she walks through the portal, quickly followed by the two titans.

They emerge in front of the Jump City regional bank, in the distance they can make out Star and Beast Boys forms in the sky. As the duo lands, the doors of the bank explode out revealing their robber is Red X.

"Um? Robin wanna explain that?" Cyborg said pointing towards the villain.

Robin shrugged, "No time, figure it out later, TITANS GO!"

Red X turned towards the heroes,"Ah my favorite crime fighting team. Adonis wasn't kidding Raven is rather striking isn't she?"

The peculiar statement didn't effect the empath however the changeling seemed, frazzled by the villain's... assessment of the half-demon. She could hear a low growl coming from her teammate before Red X started throwing his xarangs, they exploded upon impact. The team was quickly blown apart, the empath took to the sky, throwing bolts of pure magic at the thief.

Starbolts rained down on the battlefield before star was taken out of the sky by one of Red X's adhesive X caught her. With her defeat the villain seemed to preen.

"Just ain't got it today do you titans, 'cept you Raven you're nailing it, speaking of nailing-" he was cut off by a green mass tackling him. The green tiger got a swipe at him before Red X kicked the changeling off of him, the tear in his suit was already repairing itself.

"YOU ZORNIAN MUCK BEETLE, RELEASE ME" Starfire yelled from her entrapment.

Cyborg shot off his laser cannon towards the villain. He quickly dodged the beam and threw two red adhesive Xs towards the titan, one stuck itself to cyborgs arm the other missed. Raven tried to figure out a plan to get Starfire out while Cyborg kept him distracted, she could see beast boy getting up from where he was thrown into the building, Robin was countering any goo or adhesives Red X was trying to capture him with. The X that hit Cyborgs arm seems to have clogged enough gears for the arm be unresponsive, leaving her friend with one less arm and weapon than his opponent. When she looked back at the green changeling something seemed.. off about him. The look in his eye looked primal.

Oh no.

Something about this fight was bad enough to bring out the beast, before she could stop it he had jumped onto the villains back. The beast started to scratch and scratch on the villains back making it a mess of blood and tissue. The empath quickly left the imprisioned tamaranian.

If I could just..

Just what? reason with it? Doubtful, it's the primal urge of every animal Beast Boy can change into, to try and reason with the worst parts of the entire animal kingdom would be a death wish.

The worst parts? Sounds familiar.

Raven steeled herself, she could deal with the worst parts of her why couldn't she help with his? Reasoning is no good but maybe if she shows she's like him the beast will listen to her. Only a moment had past before she knew what she had to do, she silently hoped it would work otherwise this would end badly for all of them.

She coated the beast in her magic, tearing him off what was left of the villain. She walked around the torn up street, silently she dispatched the magic encasing him as soon as she was close enough to lay her hand on the beasts snout, she could hear him still growling but soon enough that was silenced until the beast was breathing calmly. As quickly as he appeared, he was gone.

"Garfield? Are you alright?" Raven said with worry creasing her eyebrows.

He looked delirious and completely out of it, "What- What happened?"

How did she calm him? Why did he come out in the first place?

She was in danger

The changeling shook his head, immediately regretting it as dark spots danced in his vision.

"Beast Boy? Cyborg we should get him back to the tower," The titans leader said after getting Starfire out of the adhesive.

"Raven you wanna make another one of those fancy portal things, we left without the T-car" The cybernetic man asked.

Quietly they gathered the injured Beast Boy and walked through the portal to the Titans medbay.

The entire team was baffled by what had just occurred.

And what had caused it.

Hope that was a bit better than it was before, like I said I tried to keep it pretty much the same, let me know if the third person was confusing at all, especially towards that end part. Also fair warning I cannot for the life of me write action scenes, so sorry about the horrid fight scene there.

Till next time!

Stay Safe!
