Chapter 7
Night walked with Rukia back to the 1st Divison Barracks not saying a word which worried Rukia. "Night are you ok"? She asked.
"Huh? Oh yeah I'm fine mom don't worry just a bit nervous", Night said with a faint smile.
Rukia frowned but nodded as she gently placed her arm around Night to comfort her and didn't push on Night didn't want to tell her mom the full reason on why she wasn't herself considering that no matter what the Captains will decided she'll hardly ever see her mom again which made her depressed but she knew that Rukia had an important job and knew she shouldn't complain about it like a child she was just going to accept it simple as that but it doesn't mean she likes it.
They then reached the barracks walking in and to the main room Night got nervous as she looked at all the captains and Head Captain. "You two are here good we have all discussed the issue of the situation and we have come to a conclusion", Yamamoto said.
Night clutched her arm and tried not to show any emotion. "We have decided that since neither Lieutenants Kurosaki and Abari hadn't given Night here her powers and since no other crime has been committed we have decided to allow Night to become a Substitute Soul Reaper".
Night grew wide eyed and let out a breath of relive as did Rukia then the two smiled at one another. "Now Captain Ukitake", Yamamoto said.
"Of course", Junshiro nodded.
Junshiro walked to Night and held out to what Night saw was a badge. "This is your Substitute Soul Reaper Badge this signifies that you are a Substitute Soul Reaper it will also warn you of Hollows and will help you separate your soul from your body", Junshiro explained.
"Wear it with pride Night Kurosaki for your father was a Substitute Soul Reaper as well and he was a might Soul Reaper who we were honored to have", Yamamoto said.
"Yes Head Captain", Night nodded.
Night then took the badge running her thumb over the skull image then she bowed. "Thank you all I promise to do my very best in my work", she said holdin the badge tightly.
"Glad to see we have a determined worker on our side I'm pleased to hear this Night Snow Kurosaki", Yamamoto said.
"Now Lieutenant Kurosaki".
"Yes Head Captain"? Rukia said surprised of being called.
"This shall be your direct order you are to be put in charge of Karakura Town and to also train Night with her powers of a Soul Reaper you shall come here for your meetings with the lieutenants as usual. Understood"?
Both Night and Rukia were shocked by this order then they saw Yamamoto giving them a smile then they understood Rukia smiled and nodded. "Yes Head Captain I understand", she said.
"Good your gigai is already prepared Ukitake please go take the lieutenant to the room where it is", Yamamoto said.
"Yes Head Captain come Rukia", Junshiro said.
"So um should I stay here"? Night asked.
"I'll be quick don't worry", Rukia assured.
Night nodded Rukia smiled as she then followed her captain out the main room Night gulped feeling she should've followed considering she could sense all the of the captains spirit energy feeling very small right now then Kenpachi walked to her. "So you're really Ichigo's kid huh"? He asked.
"Um yes that's right. Did you knew my dad"? Night asked a bit nervously.
"That's right Ichigo was one of the few people who actually beaten me in battle never got my rematch thanks to Aizen but maybe battling you might be just as fun battling him", he smirked.
"Eh"? Night squeaked paling.
"Kenpachi Zaraki that is enough".
Night and Kenpachi looked up to face Byakuya considering he was the one that spoke up. You should know when not to fight especially in front of the Head Captain", he said.
"Oh really? Or are you just trying to protect your little niece"? Kenpachi asked with a smirk.
"Huh so that's really my uncle Byakuya Kuchiki", Night thought gulping slightly.
"I am only seeing you doing something foolish in front of the Head Captain the girl is not the case", Byakuya stated.
"Wow cold much", Night thought sweatdropping.
"Oh alright then we'll just go outside the barracks to have our fight then", Kenpachi said.
"Wait a minute I didn't even agree to fight you"! Night protested.
"Huh never thought Ichigo's kid would back down from a fight", Shinji said amused.
"There comes to times when you meet opponents you know you shouldn't fight"! Night defended herself with a growl.
"Haha! There's the aggressive nature I was looking for", Shinji laughed.
Night sweat dropped at that figuring he must've been a friend of her father as well. "Mind telling me who you are? I would like to know the guy who's enjoying teasing me", she said.
"Oh sorry the names Shinji Hirako I'm captain of the 5th Division", Shinji smirked.
"Alright and what about you"? Night asked Kenpachi.
"Heh I'm Kenpachi Zaraki captain of the 11th Division", Kenpachi smirked.
"Alright well then Captain Kenpachi I'm sorry for you but I must decline your invitation for a fight cause with that kind of Spirit Energy I'm sensing I know for a fact I'll be dead", Night said bluntly.
"That's for a fact", Shunsui chuckled.
"By the way I'm Shunsui Kyoraku Captain of the 8th Divison".
"Pleasure to meet you sir", Night nodded.
"Well if we're going to do proper introduction then allow me to introduce myself I am Retsu Unohana Captain of the 4th Division", Unohana bowed.
"Nice to meet you ma'am", Night said with a bow.
"I am Sajin Komamura Captain of the 7th Division", Komamura said.
"Nice to meet you as well sir", Night nodded then noticed Hitsugaya.
"And you must be Toshiro Hitsugaya Captain of the 10th Division right"?
"How could you have known that"? Hitsugaya asked surprised.
"I met you daughter Hoshii and one of your division members Asami they told me about you", Night said with a smile.
"I see that makes sense", Hitsugaya sighed.
"I'm Kensei Muguruma Captain of the 9th Division and over there is Rose Otoribashi Captain of the 3rd Division", Kensei said pointing at himself then at Rose who bowed.
"Pleasure to meet you both", Night bowed.
"I'm Sui-Feng Captain of the 2nd Division", Sui-Feng said.
"Oh so your Minori-san's mentor. Then mind telling me how in the world did she learn the ability to transform into a cat"? Night asked still a bit skeptical on the whole thing.
"That ability was something she inherited from her mother", Sui-Feng said.
"Her mom? She's a soul reaper too right"? Night asked.
"In ways yes", Sui-Feng nodded.
"And of course you must already know the 6th Division Captain", Unohana said with a kind smile.
Night nodded as she faced Byakuya. "Right Captain Byakuya Kuchiki of the 6th Division my mom told me plus Renji-san and Isao its an honor to meet you sir", she smiled bowing to him.
"There is no reason for you to bow so rise", Byakuya said.
"Oh yes sir", Night nodded standing firmly.
"Yesh kid you don't have to act so formal around him after all he is part of your family", Shinji said.
"I don't think this is your concern Hirako", Byakuya said.
"Oi"-
"Alright we're back".
They all looked to see Junshiro and Rukia returning Rukia now wearing a royal blue dress and white sandals. "Finally come on mom we should get going", Night said taking Rukia's hand.
"Huh? Why the rush Night"? Rukia asked surprised of Night's action.
"Yeah there's no way I'm letting you off the hook"! Kenpachi said.
"That's why now come on"! Night yelled pushing Rukia out the barracks.
"But Night we weren't"-
"Do not worry Kurosaki you are both dismissed", Yamamoto assured.
"See? Now come on before he really gets us"! Night said.
And with that Night and Rukia quickly got out of the 1st Division Barracks still hearing Kenpachi yelling once they were in a safe distance Night sighed. "Man and to think I was close on dying", she sighed.
"What was all that about"? Rukia asked as they walked.
"Captain Kenpachi wanted to have a fight with me cause with my dad not having my powers and me having similar strength to his powers he wanted to have a fight", Night said.
"Oh now it makes sense you better watch out for him then Night Captain Kenpachi can be a monster when he wants to have a fight", Rukia warned.
"Mom I'm going to make sure not to come here so often just not to see him! I'm too young to die anyway", Night said exasperated.
Rukia giggled then nodded patting Night's head. "Alright just making sure now come on lets go to the others so we can tell them the good news", she said.
"Yeah fine", Night nodded.
They walked back to the Tea House where the others were still waiting and they told them the Captain's verdict Night showing them her badge everyone was happy for them. "Wow another Substitute Soul Reaper just like Ichigo now I know you'll be a chip of the old block", Renji grinned.
"Looks like I'll have to come to the World of the Living more often to visit you huh Rukia-chan", Asami smiled.
"By the looks of it yes", Rukia smiled back.
"So that means you'll be leaving now right"? Miyako asked.
"That's right we just wanted to tell you all the news before we leave", Rukia said.
"Yeah wouldn't want you guys thinking the worst if we didn't", Night smirked.
"Hmph that's you thinking that I highly doubt anyone of us would worry that much", Isao said.
"Oh you're just asking for it", Night growled gripping her zanpakuto.
"Alright its time we get going Night goodbye everyone", Rukia said.
"Bye Rukia-chan", Asami waved.
"It was nice meeting you Night-san", Miyako smiled Hoshii nodding in agreement.
"Just call me Night no need for san and you guys should come visit so we can hang out sometime", Night grinned.
"Definitely", Minoru nodded with a smile.
"I'll come visit you later Rukia don't you worry", Renji grinned.
"I know you will now lets go Night", Rukia smiled.
"Coming mom", Night said smiling.
The two then headed off waving goodbye as they then head out to the World of the Living.
Aurasoul: There all done.
Night: So whats going to happen next?
Aurasoul: Oh them going to the Kurosaki/Ishida house and all might be a short chapter don't know so until then.
