Chapter 8

"Ok here we are".

Rukia looked at the Kurosaki/Ishida house now looking a bit bigger and with no clinic. "Ichigo and Uryu really made some renovations to the house", Rukia said.

"Yeah dad told me after he and Uncle Uryu graduated college they decided to form their own hospital with the start up money their dads gave them and after the hospital got some good money they used it to renovate the house having me, Aunt Orihime, Akiro, Hikari, and them living here", Night explained as they walked to the front door.

"Lift up the mat there should be a spare key there".

Rukia looked at her as she then kneeled to the mat lifting it to see a key she took it then she unlocked the door and they went in as Rukia made sure she locked the door the living room was nice sized having polished wood floors, well made furniture, a tv, and a nice dinning room. "Its 2:40 we got at least 15 more minutes until dad, Uncle Uryu, and Aunt Orihime get here", Night said.

"So all three of them work in the hospital"? Rukia asked.

"Yeah dad and Uncle Uryu are doctors while Aunt Orihime is Head Nurse Uncle Uryu also handles the payments and bills while dad handles management me, Hikari, and Akiro help around the hospital if theres any trouble or such usually since its a Saturday Akiro and Hikari should be with them at the hospital so we have the place to ourselves until they get back", Night explained.

"I see well then you better get back in your body before they get here then", Rukia said.

"We have 15 minutes mom but if you say so I'll be right back", Night said.

Rukia watched Night go up the stairs as she then looked around and saw photo frames on a table she walked to see different pictures one of Ichigo and Night when she was 10 both outside in the snow both of them laughing both covered in snow then there was another one with a 14 year old Night and a 12 year old Hikari both wearing kimonos Night wore a black and dark blue kimono with a silver obi while Hikari wore a sky blue kimono that matched her eyes with an orange obi that had white designs Uryu was there with a proud look on his face Rukia giggled guessing he was the one that made the kimonos. "So your looking at the pictures"?

Rukia jumped and looked to see Night walking to her in her body she had changed her clothes now wearing a white blouse and gray leggings her hair pulled back by a black ribbon. "Uh yeah I saw them and wanted to get a closer look at them", Rukia smiled.

"Yeah Aunt Orihime liked taking pictures and dad sometimes did too", Night said smiling fondly.

"And let me guess Uryu could never say no to Orihime about them"? Rukia asked with a smirk.

"Right on target", Night laughed.

They both laughed in amusement then Night looked at Rukia. "Hey mom you are planning to talk with dad once he gets home right"? She asked.

Rukia grew wide eyed and fell silent for a while then sighed. "I don't know I mean its been so long since I saw Ichigo I don't think I can face him", she said.

"But you guys need to talk dad missed after all these years and since I know the truth now you guys can be together again and we can all be together as a family", Night insisted.

Rukia grew wide eyed as a few tears fell much to Night's shock Rukia covered her face. "Oh Night I've been wanting that for so long for all of us to be happy together but... I'm scared that something will happen that would ruin all that! I don't want to lose you or Ichigo! If anything happened to you two I'd... I'd be heartbroken"! Rukia cried.

Night then suddenly hugged Rukia a few tears coming down. "Youre not going to lose us mom I know it can be scary but youre not alone on this we're all here for each other and that's never going to change", Night said.

Rukia hugged Night tightly as she softly cried Night comforted her softly assuring that all will be well after a while Night looked up at Rukia. "How about I make us some tea we both need it", she suggested.

Rukia took a deep breath then softly smiled and nodded. "Yeah that sounds nice", she said.

Night smiled as she got Rukia to sit on the couch then went to the kitchen and began brewing the tea deciding to make chamomile to help calm the nerves. "Hey mom do you want honey in your tea"? Night called out.

There was no answer confused Night went back to the living room and was surprised to see Rukia curled up fast asleep Night sighed yet softly smiled as she went to get a blanket and tucked Rukia in and went to finish the brewing after she finished she turned off the kettle then heard a noise from upstairs Night grew wide eyed and quickly went upstairs to her room to see her battle pass flashing. "What's wrong with this thing"? She thought.

Then she felt a pressure and understood she slammed the pass on her chest and became a Soul Reaper again then placed her body on her bed. "I hope I can make this quick before mom wakes up or the others get back", she thought.

Night climbed out of the window and quickly left.

Unknown to Night however Ichigo had came back home early due to persuasion by Orihime and Uryu so he could watch her body until she would return thinking she was still in the Soul Society, Ichigo walked to the door still worried about Night remembering of when Uryu had brought Night's soulless body.

Flashback...

"Where's Uryu"? Ichigo asked Orihime.

Akiro and Hikari were already in bed and Ichigo thought Night was as well as he got ready for bed to see Orihime sitting on the couch worried wearing her night gown. "Renji came and said he needed to talk with Uryu outside", Orihime said.

Ichigo couldn't help but think of the worse worried about Rukia and the others at the Soul Society then the door opened they both turned to see Uryu carrying what looked like an unconscious Night. "Night?! Uryu what the hell happened"?! Ichigo growled angrily.

"We were wrong Ichigo", Uryu said.

"What"? Ichigo questioned confused.

"She does have incredible power we just couldn't see it", Uryu said.

"She's in the Soul Society right now".

End of flashback...

Ichigo sighed he knew that his daughter was in good hands with Renji and Rukia but he was worried on how Night will handle the truth or will accept it for the matter he then got his key and unlocked the door walking inside taking off his shoes and walked to the living room. "I'll check on Night's body see if she's back if she isn't then I'll have to wait I just she is back though I'm worried something might"-!

Ichigo froze on the spot dropping his suitcase in shock to see on the couch was his wife sleeping. "Rukia", he said softly.

Slowly Ichigo walked to Rukia and kneeled gently touching her cheek and nearly flinched feeling it proving she was really here and not some trick. "Its been so long since I seen her she still hasn't lost her looks", he thought half smiling.

"Mmm Ichigo".

Ichigo gasped hearing Rukia spoke for a moment he thought she was awake then she turned yawning lightly he then sighed in relief. "Ok so I'm not hallucinating Rukia is really here on my couch asleep... Wait why is she here? Night"!

Ichigo quickly ran upstairs and went to Night's room and grew wide eyed to see the change of clothes on Night's body. "Wait those weren't the clothes she wore last night so she has to be back but her body isn't breathing unless"...

Ichigo then walked back downstairs and grew wide eyed to see Rukia awake sitting up rubbing her eyes. "Hey Night is the tea read"-!

Rukia gasped to see Ichigo there on the spot. "Ichigo", she whispered.

Aurasoul: There and not too short perfect.

Night: Oh this is going to be good!
