And here it came. As soon as Kanda and Rinali howled and received the howl back from it, Allen could hear it coming. He'd say any ghoul, zombie, or lycan could hear this idiot for miles for how loud he was being.

Oh, how he wished he'd been able to sneak away during the night. Nope. They took turns keeping watch, making sure he didn't run and nothing that wanted to eat them showed up. Better yet, Allen wished that he had never gotten beaten in the first place. Essentially making him a hostage.

A hostage with no ransom, or person willing to pay to have him back.

Looking around Allen kept his ears tuned into the trios conversation. If he could escape that would be good but it looked like Kanda was keeping an eye on him. So that was a no go. Either way he didn't feel like having a surprise attack happen because of the bouncy, literally he was bouncing at that moment, wolf who had to be so darn loud.

Rinali was happy to see Lavi when he came running out of the tall grass field they had been skirting around. Kanda had decided to go around because of the possibilty of loosing sight of the young wolf or loosing the rabbit again.

"Che. Think you could be any louder?"

The wolf jumped up and put his front paws on Kanda's shoulders. Then receded to lick him on the cheeks. He hopped back though when Kanda took a swipe at him. "Disgusting! Lavi!"

All Lavi did in turn was chuff like he was laughing at the others angry reply and bounced his way over to Rinali to greet her. Though she was still in wolf form, so he nuzzled his cheek against hers then slid his body along side of hers.

Lavi had spent several days waiting in the abandoned house a bit away from here. They'd made a stop there when they'd picked up Tim's smell. When he slid his body against Rinali's it was considered normal pack behaviour for scent transfer. Some like Lavi were more affectionate with it; while others like Kanda only did it when it was neccessary.

"Anything happen while we were gone, Usagi?"

When Lavi was finished scenting Rinali he transformed into his human skin. ""Nothing to report."

Giving a cheeky grin, Lavi pointed at Allen, "So whose the sprout?" Though Lavi had ignored the new face he'd could smell his scent before he arrived at the group. When he came out of the field he was surprised that Kanda was...how should he say it...herding the white wolf along.

Lavi could see the lycan wasn't in the group by choice but for Kanda to not have killed him or chased him away made him curious. "Loner? Outcast? Rogue?"

Walking closer Lavi received a swipe for his efforts when he got too close for Allen's comfort. Growling Allen' s attention was now mainly focused on the red haired youth with green eyes.

"Hmm? From the markings on his arm I'd bet one of the Eastern tribes. They do stuff like that. Though I've never seen that type of design before."

"Che." Kanda was getting annoyed with the garbage disposal of information Lavi tended to spout. "Like you've ever seen one of them."

"Noooo. But Gramps told me about them and showed me plenty of drawings." Lavi continued on, "Did you know that most of the tribes in the east tend to split into groups based on the type of spirits they house in their bodies. Plenty of families are split because the tribes don't accept those that are different than them."

Allen had ended up having to swipe at this Lavi person several more times when he'd tried to get closer time and time again. Growling in a final warning, Allen was then mortified when his stomach growled louder a few seconds later.

A/N Sorry about not updating. I've tried writing this chapter four or five times but couldn't get it how I wanted. I'll be updating when I can remember. (hopefully that won't take several years)
