She pushed off of the vampire, kicking him into a wall. She sighed then glared at the vampire, she regripped her machete then chopped off his head. Skylar chuckled, weak. Dean ran in and looked around at the dead corpses his sister made.
"Is there a problem, Deano?" she looked at him bloodlust in her eyes.
"What the hell is this!?" he pointed at the bodies.
"I did what we were here to do, kill the nest of vampires, and I did,"
"BUT NOT BY YOURSELF!" he pointed his machete at her and she sassily raised her eyebrows.
"What are you going to do about it, Dean? Huh? Nothing," she walked up to his machete pushing it against her chest, "are you going to punish me?" she smirked. Dean looked into her emerald eyes, no sense of caring or fear in her eyes. The love switch in her was broken and was not going to be fixed. She didn't care what happened to her or her brothers, as long as she does what she needs to do survive she will be satisfied. Dean growled then turned and walked away. She watched him chuckling. You're so weak! she thought.
Dean walked out of the abandoned house, the stern look on his face.
"What's wrong?"
"I don't like it, Sam, she's not the Skylar I grew up with. It's not right," he leaned up against the Impala.
"She is soulless, what did you expect? She's more of herself than she was with her soul. She doesn't care,"
"I want her back,"
"I know you do, I do too," at that moment Skylar came out with an open beer can, she chugged it and then threw it on the ground.
"Let's go, losers," she opened the trunk to the Impala. Dean sent a look at Sam as he put his machete into the trunk too. Dean got into the driver's seat of the Impala, Sam got into the passenger seat and Skylar in the back. The siblings rode in silence for most of the way, Skylar looking out the window of the backseats. The sound of flapping wings interrupted their thoughts.
"Hey, Cas," Sam smiled at the angel in the backseat.
"Sam...Dean...Skylar," Skylar glanced at Castiel then out the window again. The Impala went silent again. Castiel looked at the brothers, tension in the air. Castiel knew that the boys wanted their old sister back, but from looking at the history of the Winchesters, it's only gonna get worse. Only time will tell when it will go to Hell, or who will.
"So, what did you find out?" Dean asked glancing into the rearview mirror.
"Nothing, after you killed Death, you can't get her soul back. He was the only one that could do it," Castiel showed concern. Skylar lightly chuckled.
"You ruined your only chance at getting the old Skylar back, such a Winchester thing to do," she rolled her eyes.
"Well maybe if you paid attention to the rode and not run the light and got hit by that truck we wouldn't be in this situation," Dean snapped.
"Oh? So you're blaming this on me? You're the one that dragged me into this life even when I said no, you never listen, Dean,"
"I was trying to protect you!"
"Protect me? Dean please, save me the bullshit, it's pathetic, I was perfectly intact before you came to the hospital,"
"intact? You were a mess!" Dean stopped the car.
"I was a mess because you and dad forced me to go into this life, I wanted to be a normal kid. I wanted to not be depressed, I wanted to not have panic attacks, I wanted a dad that loved me and didn't force me to grow up quickly!"
"Bullshit! Dad wanted you to be able to protect yourself!
"By what? Giving me a .22 caliber pistol at the age of 9 and setting up the beer bottles he drank the night before as a shooting range? That's not normal! You know nothing of my life after I left and I liked it that way!"
"Fine, do you want to tell me what you were doing before you got into an accident," Dean turned around to look at his sister.
"It wasn't an accident, for one," Skylar looked into Dean's green eyes.
"Then what was it?" Skylar stayed silent not breaking her eye contact with Dean, "I'm waiting,"
"A suicide attempt." she bluntly said. The car went silent, she could feel Cas awkwardly looking down, Sam turned around and looked at his sister then at Dean, who was frozen in place.
"W-what?" Sam weakly squeaked out. Skylar sighed.
"About six months after I got into college," she swallowed hard, "I dated a guy, he seemed sweet, the longer we dated the more evident his anger was. So much he was hitting me for having guy friends. One night we got into an argument and I began to walk away, he grabbed my hand, tightly. I could feel the blood circulation in my hand begin to deteriorate. He dragged me into the bedroom no matter how much I kicked and grabbed onto something, he was too strong for me. He pushed me onto the bed and ripped my clothes off, I kicked and kicked but he held me down and shoved my shirt into my mouth. He unzipped his pants and pulled out his…" she paused thinking of another word to say, "his member a-and...shoved it in me...he thrust in and out, in and out, in and out, over and over even when he let his load out in or on me. He would slap me, spank me, choke me till I passed out and still continued to do it. It went on for weeks, thankfully I was taking birth control in case this happened. I finally got away and reported him to the cops and he said he would come for me when he got out, I highly doubt he is getting out anytime soon," Skylar looked out the window at the trees outside the car. Everyone in the car was silent, "after that, I was traumatized, none of my friends cared, my grades were dropping so I decided, hey, how about I take a drive and get hit, but that was foiled,"
"And you tell us this now?" Dean said softly.
"I tell you this now because I know you, Dean. You could track the guy down in prison and kill him yourself,"
"Well, duh! He raped you!"
"Yeah, well he also cheated on me because I didn't satisfy him enough," she rolled her eyes.
"Assbutt," Castiel chimed in.
"I'm sorry that happened to you," Sam looked at his sister.
"Save me your sob stories, can we get something good to eat? I'm starving," Deah nodded and pressed on the gas driving down the road. They pulled into a small town, the engine roaring down the quiet main road. They pulled into a diner called "The Sleepy Diner" which seemed like a good place to stop. Dean parked the car and turned it off, they all got out. Skylar kept her arms close to her as some guys eyed her. She looked them up and down and smirked, she could easily take them on. She followed her family members into the diner. The smell that entered their nose was burnt coffee and some questionable smell. They all piled into a booth and waited for a waitress. An old stereotypical fat lady waitress came up to the group.
"What can I do ya for, sweeties?" the waitress chimed.
"Bacon cheeseburger," Dean said giving a quick smile.
"What comes in the...chef salad?" Sam asked.
"Eggs, meat, and veggies," the waitress said bluntly.
"The chef salad please," Sam said avoiding eye contact.
"I'll have the cheeseburger and extra fries please," Skylar said stacking the menus.
"And for you hun?" she looked at Castiel.
"He'll have a sweet tea, please bring extra sugar packets," Skylar smiled at the waitress and handed her the menus. The waitress walked away.
"Sweet tea? I don't like sweet tea," Castiel looked at Skylar.
"I know, it's for me," she smirked and poured some salt out of the shaker and licked it off her hand.
"You were very polite to her," Sam noted.
"I may not have a soul but everyone that deals with trash people deserve some kindness, it's just facts," Skylar looked out the window she was crammed next to. The bell chimed letting people know someone has entered the diner. Skylar saw some people pass their booth and sit in the one in front of theirs, it was those men from outside still eyeing Skylar.
"Cas, can I talk to you in private please?" she smiled at Castiel and scooted out of the booth.
"You wanted to talk?" Cas asked.
"You see those men in front of our booth? They've been staring at me since we've gotten here, I have a bad feeling about them,"
"Okay, I'll make sure nothing happens," she smiled at Castiel and messed his hair up.
"Thank you, I owe you," she walked back to the booth. The sweet tea came, Dean and Sam tried to make conversation but Skylar didn't feel like talking; not with the men staring at her like a piece of candy. She kept glaring at them but they didn't falter in their eyeing pursuit. Once the food came everyone began to eat but the conversation about finding the next hunt didn't stop. Skylar wasn't paying attention, she didn't care about killing vampires or werewolves or fairies. She just wanted to relax but being a hunter doesn't come with that luxury. Once the food was gone Dean paid the bill in cash and left a nice tip. The group left the diner.
"Do you think there is a cheap motel around here?" Dean asked as the bell chimed again.
"There's one about six feet down," a deep voice said behind the group. Skylar felt a hand on her jacket pulling her back into the grip of the man. He held a knife to her neck. Sam and Dean pulled their guns out.
"Let her go, man, we haven't done anything to you," Dean said trying to get his sister back.
"I don't care if you done nothing to me, it's what I want to do, and I want to do this pretty lady here," the man dragged the knife down Skylar's cheek which she pulled away. She elbowed him in the gut and tried to get away, he grabbed her and pulled her hair. The man's friends attacked the others. Dean shot at one mad but he didn't go down, Sam did the same thing but instead got his head bashed into the car. Castiel tried his best to take the men down but something was draining his power from him. Skylar fought the best she could but it didn't work, she was shoved into the backseat of a truck and drugged.
