Chapter 10: Home free part 2

Thinking not about herself or the guns cocked and aimed at his skull, Bella-Anne raced before him and pushed him out of the way the exact second a gunshot splintered the crisp autumn air chanced the crows from nearby trees barren of leaves.

"NO!" Those who loved her screamed as the shot pierced with sickening precision, both humans and monsters stared in shock at the girl with a hole trickling blood at the center of her forehead.

Bella-Anne staggered, blinked, turned towards a shell shocked Toriel and mouthed. "...mom...?" Before collapsing to the ground her soul exiting her body.

Toriel fell to her knees and cradled the girl she'd raised, panicked murmurs leaving her as she pleaded for her child to be alright.

Asriel stared at them and was ready to kill the entire crowd but Chara and Frisk kept him back.

Everything glowed and hummed with rose petals and the breath of harps entrapped Bella for a moment before two people landed in front of her.

One was a woman who could've passed as her double with long Auburn hair, fern green eyes, and milky pale skin. The second was a man who looked rather scruffy, messy brown hair growing at odd angles and stubble growing across his face, warm hot coco eyes and dirty brown skin.

Clouds drifted around them and whispered through Bella's hair. "Wh...who're you? Wh-where am? What's going on where's my family? Papyrus he and Azzy and mom- I have to go back!"

"One question at a time kid, calm down. We are-" The man began but was silenced by the woman.

"What Charlie is without a bit of tact is saying is that there are reasons why you were raised by the monsters. It all started three years before you fell to the underground. Charlie is an angel and was sent to earth to be a guardian over man but it didn't work nicely as he had a tendency to fool around, which is how I ended up meeting him. He was called back from earth but that was before I knew I was pregnant. Some people of the village had found out Charlie's secret around the same time I did and began hunting us so to speak. Probably the reason why he had to return to heaven. I ran from them, my own brother in fact as long as I possibly could. But then I had you and it seemed everything was going to be fine. We were safe for only a couple of months until I had to start running again. In my escape from them I ran to mount Ebott. I never saw the vines and I tripped it. The last things I remember seeing was the one who goes by Toriel and you... I am indebted to her for what she's done for you." The woman stated softly, gently brushing the long tousled Auburn hair from Bella-Anne's face.

The girl grew quite as the words sunk in with a new meaning. Her hands trembled as the clouds met her knees and both the angels wrapped her in a hug.

"I know this is a lot to take in kiddo..." Charlie said solemnly, stroking her back in small circles. "And what she failed to mention was that her name is Sasha. And she actually ended up naming you after well my boss but she's not a bad lady when Annabelle isn't trying to get my wings clipped."

Bella-Anne giggled softly at that and for a moment wondered what her life would have been like if she'd died all those years ago, every time her HP would drop into a dangerous level she thought if it would've been better had she just died and got this out of the way without endangering Asriel and Toriel and Papyrus.

Looking up determinedly, she knew what she had to do. "I've got to go back. I lead them here and I have to keep them safe. Can't I just be their guardian angel or something?"

"Well..." Sasha bit her lip there were rules that they were breaking by not even letting her in the gates but this girl, their daughter they just got her back and it'd be selfish to keep her if she didn't want to stay because if you haven't crossed the gates you could still go back.

An almost shrill yet angelic voice washed over them and the color drained from Charlie. "Charlie, Sasha. Who're you keeping from the gates this time?" She didn't look peeved nor did her anger reach her voice but she still approached the group.

"Kid, scram. We've got this." Charlie hissed in Bella-Anne's ear before shooting up to meet the face of his boss. "Heeey Annabelle, what's going on?" Sweat beaded on his brow as he stalled.

Bella-Anne didn't move despite her feet telling her to run, Toriel had always told her to ask permission before she did something and she supposed that if she was indirectly named after this angel she couldn't be that bad. After breaking the embrace with Sasha she stood and stepped before the arc angel.

"Listen ma'am, I know I'm dead now I guess..." The statement weighed heavy in the air between. "But I have to go back. I can't die right now or...or-or other people are going to die because of my actions and I can't...No. I won't let them die because of my actions! You have to let me-"

"Then why are you still here? Go." Annabelle said gesturing to a part in the clouds.

"And I have to go because- wait really?!" Bella stared at Annabelle for a moment blinking her Green eyes trying to comprehend.

"Sometimes with young children we give them a second chance of sorts, especially if they have more to be done in the world. And you do young lady. Now no more standing around get going, you're right they do need you."

Dumbfounded and a little caught off guard by Annabelle's cut off, a moment more Bella-Anne hesitated before she jumped through the part and plummeted down to the earth and her body.

Sasha dipped her head gratefully while Charlie sputtered and spouted.

"HOW?!" He screamed pulling at his salt and chocolate hair with wild eyes towards his boss.

Toriel clutched tight the bundle of her child trembling as realization sunk in. Asriel fended off any humans that would so much as look wrong at them with the help of Chara and Frisk, Papyrus standing confusedly next to the sobbing goat mother.

A deep breath of fresh dawn air and blinding light brought Bella-Anne into the land of the living and brought her to the sky. With a voice louder than thunder she shook the earth.

"HUMANS AND MONSTERS ALIKE SHALL NO LONGER EXIST IN SEPARATE WORLDS BUT FOREVER MORE LIVE AS ONE SO SAYS THE HEAVENS!"

Every monster and human alike heard her message and watched in awe as the barrier shattered and brought them to the surface for the first time in thousands of years.

Before each other they trembled as the royal family embraced the fallen angel.

Sometimes something wonderful falls from above and you can either choose to ignore it or nourish it to full and it might be destroyed but soon rise from the heartache as a Phoenix.

Ok, don't hate me but for those of you who are nitpicky yes her parents are from all dogs go to heaven 2 and so is Annabelle and don't judge because I've had this plot for years now so no haters.
