YOU'RE WHAT!

Disclaimer: The Cullen's, the Swans, and most of the characters mentioned in the story that are known from Stephanie Meyer's beloved Twilight Saga, are all hers and hers alone. I neither have nor wish to pass them off as mine. I do appreciate the fact that she did bring them to life and allows us to play with them in our imaginations. The only thing I will claim is the current storyline.

Meanwhile as Sam was telling Felix what had been decided Bella made a call to Alice to check about what she and Jasper Whitlock were doing. And, once Alice did answer, a bit breathily and winded sounding, Bella explained what had transpired at Edward's and Emmett's place. "It's very possible that the same has happened at Whitlock's as well. So, Alice keep him away from his home until we all meet in the morning." Alice was quick to agree and told Bella that she would tell Jasper about what had happened and been decided for now.

CHAPTER 12: SOME REGROUPING NEEDED

Alice did inform Jasper as to what had happened with his two friends and he was immediately ready to rush over to see for himself that all was under control. It took a little bit of time and a lot of talking for her to finally get him to understand that there wasn't anything he could do except to complicate the situation just by his mere presence.

"Alice, are you sure everything is okay? You would tell me the truth if it was otherwise, right?"

"Yes, Jasper, I would definitely tell you the truth. I'll always tell you the truth about what's happening. That's something that is a must for us to be able to keep you, Edward and Emmett safe. If we kept you in the dark and you decide to do something, like you did about testing us on if you three were being watched or not, then it could lead to greater danger for all of you and any of us.

"Stunts like that is what helps to create a problem that shouldn't exist. And, all because of the lack of honest communication, or, trust from one side or another. We'll always tell you three what's happening, well, as much as we can, so you'll not endanger yourselves or any member of the team unnecessarily. Just as we did in the beginning and as I'm doing now.

"But, you have to understand, also, that there will be times that we can't tell you some things; we'll have to stay silent until we have the facts to back up what decisions we'll need to make or what actions we'll need to take to keep you all safe. Once we have that information then we can tell you what you need to know and do to help us do our jobs." She explained to him. But, as she was talking she could see that he wasn't happy about some of the things she was telling him.

"Alice, as long as you guys are keeping us informed and being honest with us all the way, no matter what, then we're able to handle what's required of us." Was all he said after giving her explanation a few moments of thought.

"Don't worry, Jasper, you all will be kept up to date as we can." She said before looking into him eyes moving from them down to his lips and then back up to his eyes as she watched them close the same as hers were the closer she got to him.

But, after a time of some heavy making out Jasper just had to ask one last time, "You sure everything is okay with Edward and Emmett?"

"They're fine, but, if it'd make you feel better go ahead and give them a call just to reassure yourself. I don't mind."

So, with Alice's reassurance that she was okay with him checking on his friends for himself he reached for his phone and dialed first Edward's number and waited for an answer. He talked with Edward who told him what had come down and Edward reassured him that Bella, Jasper catching that slip of the tongue with her name, had taken good care of him. Next, he called Emmett and who told him the same thing as what Edward had, but, his slip of the tongue was a different woman's name: Rosie.

Bella wasn't comfortable with the idea of Edward or Emmett staying at their respective homes, but, to jerk them away from that location now would draw unnecessary attention to the facts that the intrusion had been discovered. Right now it would be better to leave things as they were, replace the idiots that was supposed to have been keeping a watch on things and to move forwards at this point as if nothing had happened.

From all apparent reasoning the leak hadn't been able to confirm exactly what the witnesses knew, so, it seemed that a quiet fact finding situation existed at the moment. Bella felt that neither Aro or his crime family would want to attach any undue attention to Edward, Emmett or Jasper if there wasn't any reason to do so at the moment. So, best thing they were doing was trying to confirm just how much the guys did or didn't know and had told the Feds. If it didn't amount to anything then there wasn't any reason to react out of hand, but, it was for sure they were seeking information. The leak, whoever that might be and wherever it might be, wasn't able to give any more than general information away at this point.

Any particular information that the witnesses had relayed to the Feds had been kept on a strictly need to know basis and only Black at the Attorney General's office, Sam and Felix of the Marshall's office and Bella, Alice and Rosalie were the completely informed participants concerning the case at hand.

The only difference now about the guys staying in their own homes was that the guys wouldn't be able to discuss anything pertaining to the case with each other. It would also mean that greater effort was going to have to be made to discover the identity of the mole and in which agency the person worked. That needed to be done as of NOW. The lives of the witnesses could be at stake and to Bella's way of thing were hanging in the balance. It was unacceptable to her and her team to have a loss of a charge while in their care.

The thought to take Edward back to her place and to instruct Rosalie to do the same with Emmett had crossed her mind, but, she quickly vetoed that idea. If someone was watching the guys, then it wouldn't make much sense to go to their home and then immediately leave to go someplace else. No, things needed to stay as they were for now.

From her present location Bella had told Rosalie and Alice that the team needed to check out Jasper's place since Edward's and Emmett's places had been invaded. So, Bella sent the team over to Jasper's to check things out and to report back to her as soon as they were done.

However, it was decided that things would continue on as originally planned and appearances would be maintained as to what had been declared at the club. Bella was staying awhile at Edward's and they would be acting as a couple the same as Rosalie and Emmett would be doing at his place. Alice and Jasper would remain at Alice's where they were at the present time.

Everything had been done on the quiet side to keep from alerting the ones that had planted the bugs so the discoveries weren't given away to the wrong people. Bella felt that this situation could also be used to their advantage as to be able to found out who was leaking information. It would give them a way to leak false information from another direction other than through channels at the offices.

After everyone had left and all of the excitement kind of faded to a lesser level Bella wrote a note out for Edward indicating that she needed for him to follow her outside out of the range of the planted bugs. So, after reading the note he asked if she would like something to drink as he was going to get something for himself, but, with receiving a 'no thank you' he followed her outside into the backyard to the furthest corner away from the house. And it was there that Bella presented her idea for the night.

"Okay, Bella, what are we doing out here? This was something you couldn't have mentioned to convey in a romantic way inside?" Edward demanded as soon as they had come to a stop.

"I wanted to talk freely with you to let you know that I would be staying the night in light of what has happened thus far. I'm also instructing Rosalie to follow suit with your friend, Emmett." She explained as she was pulling her phone out of her pocket to place the call to both Rosalie and then to Alice. Both ladies agreed with Bella's decision without any in-depth discussion of the decision as at this point there wasn't much else that could be done. They knew that the big discussion of things and adjusted plans to protect the guys would take place tomorrow morning in the meeting when everything was being reviewed.

"So, by you staying would be a way of leading the intruders to think that nothing had been discovered. But, we aren't going to be able to discuss anything of true importance in the house around that shit, are we."

"No, I'm afraid not. We'll be playing a part tonight, but, I want all three of you guys at the meeting in the morning. It's now important for you to be included in our planning of the next few moves so we don't have any more misunderstandings like what had happened earlier tonight."

"I must say that I'm in agreement with that." Was all that Edward said before making a move to turn back towards the house. But, he paused and turned back to facing Bella before telling her, "I have a guestroom that you can use for the night." And then with that said he did turn and went back inside without anything else being said.

Bella stood watching his return back to the house, but, made no move to follow him immediately. She wanted to quietly make the rounds of the neighborhood to check up on the watch detail. After what she discovered earlier she wasn't going to take anything else at face value with the agents since it was bringing to the forefront some trust issues. So, quietly off she goes from her position in the backyard to check things out before calling it a night.

In two other different locations the same situation was taking place; Jasper was staying overnight with Alice while Rosalie was staying over with Emmett. However, Rose was following the same pattern of communication as what Bella had with Edward; she wrote a note informing Emmett to follow her outside away from listening ears and told him the same as what Bella had Edward about the meeting in the morning as well and that she would be staying for the night for appearances sake.

Once she had finished letting him know she told him to go on back inside as she wanted to check things out on the quiet side just to make sure all was secure for the night and the watch detail was alert.

It was while Bella was roaming around Edward's neighborhood and Rosalie was doing the same in Emmett's that a call had been received by all three agents letting them know about the bugs being planted at Jasper's residence. So, Bella told Alice to explain how things needed to be done when he was at home and about attending the meeting the following morning.

With finding all quiet and as it should be for the night both Rosalie returned to Emmett's and Bella returned to Edward's while Alice and Jasper were still having a party for two before deciding to call it a night.

It took a moment for Bella to become fully orientated as to why she wasn't at home in her own bed, but, when complete awareness did strike she was up and moving fast. Getting dressed and moving towards the front of the house she became aware of the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and breakfast being cooked. That led her in the direction of the kitchen where she saw Edward busy getting things finished up and ready to eat.

Feeling eyes watching him he looked behind him to see Bella standing there observing his every move, and some of those moves were supplying some very naughty ideas in her imagination.

"Did you sleep okay?" Edward asked and then he motioned towards a plate of sausage, scrambled eggs and toast with a cup of coffee along with a glass of orange juice sitting and waiting for her consumption.

She didn't hesitate to move forwards to the place indicated and begin to eat and then moaning as the fluffy eggs along with the rest of the food hit her taste buds.

"This is delicious. Damn, man, you're a fine cook." Was all she said as she continued to demolition the food before her.

The same pattern was taking place at two other locations, but, with varying degrees of differences. But, time does march on with Rosalie and Bella needed to make a quick stop by their places to change for the upcoming meeting. Mentally, fist bumping, this was the very thing that the two men wanted: to find out the address of their particular lady.

A/N: Okay, one problem for the night solved, but, others still exist. Is it a good idea to have the witnesses attending the meeting between the agents and listen to the discussions of what had occurred and what needed to be done in the immediate future?
