YOU'RE WHAT!

Disclaimer: The Cullen's, the Swans, and most of the characters mentioned in the story that are known from Stephanie Meyer's beloved Twilight Saga, are all hers and hers alone. I neither have nor wish to pass them off as mine. I do appreciate the fact that she did bring them to life and allows us to play with them in our imaginations. The only thing I will claim is the current storyline.

The same pattern was taking place at two other locations, but, with varying degrees of differences. But, time does march on with Rosalie and Bella needing to make a quick stop by their places to change for the upcoming meeting. Mentally, fist bumping, this was the very thing that the two men wanted: to find out the address of their particular lady.

CHAPTER 13: DO I NOW HAVE YOUR ATTENTION?

Unfortunately for Edward he was doomed to disappointment as Bella had vetoed his idea of driving her home. Her excuse was that he had to get ready for work the same as she did, but, while she was saying that, for the ears that were listening, she was busy writing down that he would need to be at the Federal Building for the meeting which would be taking place in a couple of hours' time.

She called for the cab then helped Edward clean up the kitchen as she waited for its arrival. But, Edward became puzzled by the action that Bella did in regards to the note pages she had written out for him; she took them along with about a half a dozen pages underneath the one she had used and put them all into her bag. He did want to question the action, but, remembered just as he opened his mouth to ask his question about the electronic listening devices that had been found in his home. With that remembrance he withheld asking until they were at a better and more appropriate location.

The cab arrived and announced itself with a honk of a horn. She quickly moved to open the door to let the driver know that she was coming and then turned towards Edward as he was about to follow her out to the cab and hand some money to the driver to pay for her fare home. This action surprised Bella, but, she didn't utter a word as she knew that she would be returning the money to him in a short period of time.

As he reached out to open the rear door for her she looked at him and then leaned forwards to wrap her arms around his neck and then attached her lips to his and felt his arms wrap around her waist to pull her closer. Of course, he had been momentarily surprised by her actions, but, quickly realized that it was all for show, just in case anyone was watching. However, he was determined to make it more than just that at a not too far distant date, but, that was the future, not now. Now he had to get ready to meet everyone down at the Federal Building to see what had developed that seemed to have everyone up in the air.

At first last night he was curious as to how the ones that had planted the bugs hadn't realized that they had been discovered by the Feds and with that thought he quickly began getting all of his questions that he wanted answered organized in his mind as he moved to start getting ready.

Edward had the odd notion that Agent Swan, Bella his mind really wanted to call her, had wanted him to do something before coming to the meeting, but, he hadn't been sharp enough at that moment to understand her possible unspoken hint. She did say that he needed to get ready for work. Why was she saying 'work'? Was that just because of the bugs? He worried this over and over in his mind until he felt that he had the answer.

She really wanted him to go to work and then come to the meeting. Everything was to appear as if nothing had been found so as no one listening would be alerted to the fact of what was really going to happen. How, stupid or slow, rather, could one man be, Edward, questioned himself.

Little did he realize that the same situation was existing at two other locations as well. Emmett was puzzled the same as Edward had been by almost the same exact actions as what had caused Edward to want to question Bella as to what she was doing and why. And just like Edward, it didn't take Emmett too long to figure out what was being said in a coded manner. But, Jasper's experience was just in reverse, Alice had been able to explain to him what he was to do, so, he had no problem accepting what was necessary unlike his two friends.

"So, when are your charges going to appear?" Sam questioned with a sly look on his face. He wasn't a fool and had very quickly realized the attraction that had instantly sprung to life the first time the witnesses had met the three Agents. Felix had arrived at the same conclusion as Sam and wasn't too long about voicing his opinion, away from the ladies, of course. If he'd said anything about it within their hearing his balls would have been in danger of being separated from his body.

Both Marshalls had a small bet going as to how fast things would begin to happen between each set of them. How fast would they divide up into couples that had nothing to really do with their current jobs or situation? That was the main bet. And, both men had observed a certain amount of tension existing between the six people involved.

"It shouldn't be too much longer and then we can begin this meeting to bring them up to date and hopefully put a stop to any more of the shit like they pulled last night." Bella answered without looking up from the reports she was quickly reading through from last night, both before and after the changes were made.

"We do have a lot of things to cover this morning, but, I really think we should include the guys so they won't be endangering anyone again because of misguided ideas which would bring them completely up to date as to what we know and what we're wanting to do. Maybe then they'll absorb what we're telling them unlike the first time we explained the plan of action to them. They seemed to have let that go in one ear and out the other without our words making any sort of stop in between for the guys to understand a damn thing they had been told." Rosalie commented as she, also along with Alice, was quickly going through the same reports as Bella was reading.

"Well, I can tell you for sure that the AG's office is getting ready to have a damn field day on certain people's asses today because of their screw ups from last night. That shit doesn't sit well when it comes to such cases as this one and others like it that the Attorney General's office is handling. It doesn't even sit well within any law enforcement agency and our own people are even after their asses over last night's nonsense.

"In fact, they're doing quite a bit of back tracking on the ones involved to see if there's anything in their background which would indicate anything like this happening in the past and somehow it got overlooked. And, those guys will be lucky if charges aren't brought up against them.

"Nope, the Attorney General's office and the Marshall's office aren't happy about last night's screw up at all." Sam and Felix were telling Bella, Rosalie and Alice.

"So, when will we have a report of their findings from that investigation?" Bella asked while looking to either of the two men for an answer.

"Yeah, I want to see that one, myself." Rosalie remarked and then added, "That shit totally pisses me off. We're supposed to be able to trust the help from the other agencies, but, this almost puts a sense of distrust into the mix that doesn't help things, both now and in the future."

Alice had remained quiet during the whole exchange from beginning to now, but, listened to all that had been said. But, now she felt that she needed to throw out a suggestion for Bella to consider since she was the head of their team. "I do believe that I would have a more objective view of that report, once we get it, than what either of you would have, Bella.

"After all, it was only you two along with Edward and Emmett that were directly involved in what happened. True, the same had been found at Jasper's place, but, we weren't there which left Jasper directly out of the threat zone. However, the ones that were keeping watch should have seen the intruder just like the ones watching Edward's and Emmett's.

"But, since we didn't go back to Jasper's we weren't there to be in any sort of danger from the intruder. That alone gives me the status of being able to be more objective in reviewing the report declaring the outcome of any investigation over the two of you." She concluded as she looked at first Bella and then to Rosalie as she waited to see if either would offer any sort of challenge to her reasoning.

"That's okay with me, but, I still want to see the report for myself." Bella told her friend.

"Of course, that goes without saying." Was her only response to Bella's statement.

Before anything else could be said Alice's phone rang and she reached to answer it. Jasper was calling to let her know that all three of the guys were at the agreed location so they could be quietly escorted into the building and up to the meeting. Everything was being done in this manner since there was a suspected security leak coming from an unknown source and the safety of the witnesses were of the highest priority.

Sam said he would go get them since anyone with him wouldn't draw as much attention and it would appear as if the three guys were nothing more than extra help that the U. S. Marshall's office had called into play.

It didn't take long before he was back with their charges and everyone could get settled down to start the meeting. Once everything had been gone over once more and they were all up to date as to what was happening then the three witnesses could return to their companies as if nothing had occurred out of the ordinary other than a business meeting of sorts took place at a different location.

All of the niceties were taken care of in short order and then they all got down to the real reason why they were at the witnesses had been brought into the meeting. It didn't take long for Bella to launch into the reason for the meeting and before she said too much about last night's happening at each of the witness' homes she told the guys to watch some video she wanted them to see and then to let her know what they have gotten out of it.

It didn't take too much time before first one and then the other two men leaned forwards as if for a better look at what they were seeing. Edward, then Emmett and Jasper, all three, looked over once to the FBI agents before returning their attention to the video they were being shown.

"What the—" Edward began only to be interrupted by Jasper, "the hell—" who was interrupted by Emmett, "is going on there?" who finished up the question.

Bella quickly explained how they came to have that video and that once they had seen it that it was the one piece that prompted them to step up their approach to the guys as their girlfriends. "As you can see she and the men she kept going back to talk with were there last night the same as the night before and she was making a play for each of you once more."

Once that business was handled it didn't take long for Bella, Rosalie and Alice to move on to the next item and then the next until everything had been covered including the fact that a leak was suspected in one of the agencies that was involved in the protection detail, but, nothing of real value had been leaked as yet. "And that is the way we want to keep it." Rosalie told the guys.

"Investigations are quietly going on now in two areas to try to seal the leak and to catch the one that's doing it." Alice added.

"But, until that time comes and the hole is plugged we need for you guys to work with us, not against us. You can do this by doing as we ask you and not take things into your own hands and pull shit like you did last night.

"That is also why we left the listening devices in place at each of your homes because we feel that at this point they are trying to find out how much you do know or were able to tell us before they try to make a move to take you out." Bella quietly, but, solemnly told their charges.

A/N: After taking the trouble to explain everything do you think the guys will take things more seriously and do as they're asked? Did the video act as enough proof along with their homes being bugged to make the guys understand?
