I haven't officially cancelled this story, but at the same time I don't currently have plans for it.

First off, to those who followed, favored, and reviewed this story, I humbly thank you for your kind words and support. It was heart warming to see and I'm sorry I haven't reciprocated that by following it up. The reason I've never updated was because life kept on dragging on. As a newly-minted fanfiction writer at the time I had trouble fleshing out the plot I initially wanted, and as RWBY was still a relatively new series, I came to realize there wasn't enough world-building and other lore built into the show to make a long term fanfic without the plots conflicting.

To those old enough to remember this fic was made around the time people thought there was actual Harry Potter-ish or anime-typical magic was in RWBY, before it actually became canon that is. There were time travel fics still being made, with Cinder being made as the main villainess with aspirations of dictatorship over Vale and beyond, instead of her filling this role liken to a fallen Sith apprentice as shown in canon.

Anyway, if there are those still willing to see this fanfic furthered I'll consider it in earnest. I'm currently making Spider-Gwen fanfiction so I'll definitely be around.
