"I really don't understand why I have to help Charlie. She lost. Which means she's supposed to be paying for my drinks the entire trip, and dealing with whatever fallout comes from one of our brawls. I'm supposed to be in that stuffy room listening to Frannie try to pick a fight with the beastkin."

Lena raised a brow at her wife, there were times when she was certain that Charlie and Kara shared one brain at times, because they always seemed to miss the obvious. Their interactions had only gotten more violent ever since the two of them had tied the knot, and she suspected that Charlie missed her best friend and simply hanging out with her. Sure they usually ended up fighting anyway, but the property damage was generally limited to a few broken chairs and bottles of wine, maybe a few broken tables if it got particularly rough. But these days it seemed as if they were actually trying to kill each other. "You cheated, and I saw you cheat."

"You're my wife! You're supposed to always be on my side!"

"I am on your side. I'm making sure you fix your relationship with your best friend before you only have Kal left, and the dwarven kingdom and the Agron Kingdom are at war. You're both the presumptive heirs to the throne Kara, you two need to figure this out and talk about it and helping fix the damage that you helped cause, would be a good way to start to heal the rift."

"Our kingdoms have been allies since the Agron Kingdom was nothing more than a large hut in the ground, besides Charlie knows that if we go to war they'll lose," Kara said with a wave of her hand.

Lena took a deep breath, she really would need to spell it out for Kara, this is why it was best that they didn't spend that much time together. Kara and Charlie both became significantly dumber when they were in close proximity. Perhaps it was the repeated blows to the head. "The dwarven kingdom isn't winning that fight without suffering heavy losses, and that's assuming if the Draconic Kingdom doesn't get involved. You know who her grandmother is, and you know the power she wields, if they were to ask for help then it would be a war on two fronts. Charlie's your best friend, so fix it."

"Lena we've had—"

"Brittany's begun to build weapons, and I know the damage that they can cause. Fix it."

Kara paused, that did change the calculus, Charlie was far too lazy to actually go to war. War would mean paperwork and it was something that they both loathed doing, but that didn't mean that she wouldn't if it was required and she didn't really want Brittany to test whatever weapon she had come up with on dwarves. "Fine, I'll go and see if there is a forge that I can borrow. Probably end up teaching some of them something new."

Lena smiled, "Excellent and while you're at it, help Charlie find a partner."

Kara stopped, from where she was about to open her tools to take a look at them, as she turns to look at her wife. "I'm not a miracle worker Lena."

"So build her an automaton or something."

"You think it's a good idea to—" Kara grinned, she knew what she was going to do today. It was probably best if Lena didn't actually know what she had planned otherwise.

"Don't build her a sex automaton Kara, she's lonely. A training automaton might be good for her and she'll stop hitting you in the face. It's the first thing I see in the morning and it's not attractive when it's black and blue and purple and your lips are too swollen to kiss me." Lena adds, shaking her head.

~ O ~

Santana's tail swished in the air as she watched her mate from the top of one of the stalls, following her mate undetected had been rather taxing. At least Sansa had given her the go ahead to find out more information about Agron's military strength. Which obviously meant that she needed to follow her mate around and see what information she could find.

The city streets were filled with bustle of people and fresh new scents but none of that mattered because her mate was currently carrying some rather large pieces of timber on one of her shoulders, which only highlighted her arms. She wanted to get closer, but there were so many people about and at her current size, she really didn't want to be stepped on. It was strange watching her mate work with the commoners, she knew she didn't understand that much about human culture, the Beastkin didn't have royalty, they had Primes.

Born with the ability to transform into their animal counterparts, Primes had always been at the top of the food chain. They were similar to human nobles, in that sense, at least that's how Mercedes explained it. And in the human world, the imperial family stood above nobles. Strength was important to Beastkin and her mate had it in spades. Which was why she was confused as to why her mate was currently taking orders from a commoner, normal beastkin would never have dared to order around a Prime.

But her mate didn't seem to be upset about the whole thing, even as the short balding man bossed her around. Well perhaps he just wanted to watch Charlie carry heavy things, her mate did seem to know how to put on a show, stopping to pose everytime she caught the eye of a beautiful woman. An action that filled her with a hidden jealousy, even if Charlie was her mate, she wouldn't be bound by the same rules that bound her.

Before she can delve into it further, the sound of people yelling causes her to turn her head, only to see humans just running away. There was never a dull moment around her mate, and just as she's about to stretch there's a loud bang and the sound of wood splintering as Hiccup suddenly appears, his mouth filled with fish, and Kara on his back a massive grin on her face.

"Finn!" Sam shouts as realizes what's going on. "Tackle her before she wrecks everything we've rebuilt and it comes out of our salary!"

Finn turns and immediately tries to tackle her to the ground but he gets shoved down by Charlie who doesn't even spare him a glance as she drops the heavy wooden planks at him.

Charlie's hand immediately reaches for her hip, but she hadn't brought her swords with her because she had planned to spend most of her afternoon fixing the damage that she and Kara had caused, she didn't mind the work. Before sundown she would be invited in for food and drink and she'd talk with the people and all would be forgiven. But seeing Kara riding Hiccup with that damned smile on her face—she honestly didn't give a shit if she was banished, or if she started a war with the dwarven kingdom, she was going to murder Kara.

Before she can take a step forward Sam crashes into her body wrapping his arms around her in an attempt to stop her. He's rewarded for his efforts with Charlie throwing her head back and slamming her head into his face, forcing him to drop her. "What are you all waiting for—do you really want her to destroy this side of the capital?" Sam shouts to the rest of Charlie's squad as they all begin to try and pile on. He glances at his hand which was filled with blood. "Fuck."

Santana watched for a moment, her mate was very good at not killing her underlings. Which meant that she knew how to be gentle, and even though she was clearly enraged, she still had her wits about her and entered some berserker state. But her pupils constrict when she looks over at Kara who is getting off Hiccup, trying to pull her warhammer free. She sighs inwardly it was clear that she was going to have to save her mate from getting herself into trouble, as she hops off the stall she waits patiently for the street to clear before she darts in front of her mate who is still shaking off her men. She sits in front of her mate patiently waiting for Charlie to notice her, and quickly grows irate as her mate continues to try and break free of everyone who was trying to stop her.

Kara paused and tilted her head for a moment as she stared at the cat that seemed to be simply staring at Charlie. She squinted for a moment, there's no way that was a regular black cat. "What's a—"

Before Kara can finish, Hiccup bodies her out of the way, sending her into the mud, his tail waving wildly as it strikes Kara hard in the face, causing her to curse loudly as his tail rips open her cheek.

Charlie turns and smirks when she sees Kara bleeding before she assesses the damage quickly, her eyes falling onto the cat that was sitting and staring at her before she realizes that Hiccup is making a beeline towards the cat. Her body moves immediately as she scoops the cat up in her arms and twists her body around and braces for impact. She had seen what happened when the drakes got a hold of small furry creatures and she really didn't want to watch Hiccup murder a cat.

But instead Hiccup skids to a halt stopping before impact and immediately begins to gently press his nose against Charlie's back as he tries to get to what she was holding, making small grunting noises.

"Hiccup. No! She's probably someone's pet!"

Santana's reaction was swift as her claws came out and she digs her back claws into her mate nearly causing her to drop her. Using the distraction, she quickly escapes from her mate's grasp and uses her forearm as a launching pad so she can hop on her mate's shoulder and smacks her tail into Charlie's face and bats her firmly on the head. She was nobody's pet.

"Ow—ow!" Charlie grimaces before sneezing,as her eyes begin to water. Before she can swat the cat away Hiccup grabs her with his tail and dumps her onto his back. She lands hard and grunts as she subconsciously reaches up to place a firm hand on the cat on her shoulder who is clutching onto her shoulder with its claws. With a bit of effort she steadies herself onto Hiccup and grabs the cat and places it in front of her, keeping a steady hand on the back of the cat. She had no idea why she had kidnapped a cat, but she needed to take Hiccup back to his pen. He was destructive and she needed to make clear to her mother that she wasn't going to pay for any damage that Kara had caused, and they really should bill the dwarven kingdom for everything.
