"What are you wearing," Sansa hisses, making her way over to Santana, who had somehow managed to captivate all the male gaze and quite a few of the female gaze. This was a a ball, they were here to see who they could convince to back them. To learn where they could put pressure on, and to be seen as dignified. Not as barbaric, uncouth and uncultured beasts.

"A dress," Santana responds rather flatly. The corners of her lip twitch upward when Matt lets out a laugh. "I wasn't going to wear their clothes, they are quite itchy, and they are very hard to move in," Santana answers as she begins to scan the crowd for her mate. "I would wear this at home to a similar event."

"We're not in our territories, we have to be mindful of our position here and what they think of us," Sansa lectures. There were far too many eyes on them and perhaps that had been the goal.

Santana looked down at herself for a moment, the bright red silk dress was hardly the most form-fitting that she had, and it went down past her knees. She really was only trying to catch the eye of one person in particular. "You and I both know that this is rather conservative by the standards of my people. I could easily find something more revealing."

"More revealing and you'd find yourself naked—"

Santana pulls away from Sansa as her eyes lock onto the dwarven princess who was practically dragging her wife towards them. She still didn't quite understand the relationship that she shared with her mate, but she should be polite, she had heard that they were friends, and truthfully her relationship did look quite common to a bunch of kittens. "Good evening Princess Kara," she said, keeping her voice neutral as she gives a small bow.

"Found the beastkin that nearly killed Charlie," Kara whispered to Lena, her eyes lit up in delight. "It's a pleasure to finally be introduced, I think we're going to get along wonderfully."

"Kara," Lena hissed patiently, if this was the woman that was interested in Charlie then as her friends they really should be supportive. "Your dress is stunning, where would I find the designer, I have to have one, the material itself."

Santana shoots a knowing smile at Sansa who looks positively incensed, "Of course, this sort of dress is common in our lands, perhaps once we've achieved peace you can come to our territories, and we can come to some sort of trade agreement."

Kara studied Santana for a moment; that was certainly a shrewd way to invite them into their lands, perhaps a way to foster some sort of sympathy for the beastkin. "Is it true that you nearly killed her?" Kara asked, nodding up towards the grand staircase where the Agron Royal Family was gathering to make their entrance down the stairs. "Oh, looks like you have an admirer."

Santana discreetly glances upward, hoping that her mate is simply staring, but instead of seeing her mate staring at her like nearly everyone else in the room her mate seemed focused on not staring at her. It would be hurtful if she didn't immediately shiver in disgust at being stared at by her mate's twin. "I believe she wishes to make me her concubine, and I've already expressed disinterest in such a role."

"Wait, you turned Quinn down?" Lena questioned immediately turning to look up to see Rachel glaring at Quinn. "For Charlie?" When Santana nods, Lena lets out a low whistle as Kara snorted in delight. "What do you think Quinn's going to do to her?" Lena questions Kara.

"What do you mean?" Santana asks immediately, feeling a sudden protective urge.

"When a woman shows interest in Charlie, a woman that Quinn wants, Quinn plays dirty. I wonder what humiliations Quinn has in store for her dear sister tonight," Either way she was going to be in for an entertaining night and for Charlie's reputation to take yet another epic nose-dive.

Santana scowled, that seemed a bit more malicious than simply messing with your siblings which was common enough. She lets out a sigh, she would clearly need to take care of her mate, if she was the type of person who seemed to get into trouble quite often, but that thought is immediately replaced by jealousy, as Charlie escorts her mother down the stairs and is immediately pulled towards a group of women. "What's going on?"

Kara grins, this was just getting better and better. "You can't fault the queen for using any excuse to find Charlie a wife, in the hopes that it would cause her to mature. I can only imagine what my own mother would be doing if I hadn't met Lena. Desperation is not a good look for her, but it's Charlie."

Sansa immediately placed a hand on Santana's shoulder, "All because you think you're her mate doesn't make it so, she's the princess of a strong kingdom these types of things are normal, there is no reason that the Queen would choose you."

"She's my mate, like hell she's going to have multiple wives or whatever it is that humans have," Santana grumbled, she really should storm over there and drag Charlie away to have her way with her. They really could figure things out later.

"Mate?" Lena and Kara repeat immediately, looking at each other.

~ O ~

"You see the trick when you're facing off against a Leshen, is that you need to make sure that there isn't any other creature around. See Leshen's are a nasty demons, they control the minds of lesser creatures. Wolves, crows, squirrels, and the next thing you know you're getting chased by a pack of angry wolves. Then you're ducking vines and branches—"

"Charlie, dear," Judy interrupts, flashing a smile at the horrified faces of some of the kingdom's most eligible maiden's. This wasn't going well at all. "Perhaps we should change the subject from your daring exploits, and perhaps you should talk with the ladies about something that they'd be interested in."

Charlie blinked and looked at the women, her cheeks flushing in embarrassment. Her mother had given her instructions to talk and be amiable and open to these women, and she was still doing it wrong. "I apologize, I do spend quite a bit of time out in the badlands hunting, and I forget that not everyone finds my interests—interesting?" Charlie comments.

"Well, I have not hunted anything as exotic as a Leshen, my family does have quite a large forest, and I do some hunting in my spare time," one of the ladies speaks up.

Judy immediately relaxes as Charlie immediately launches into a conversation with this woman, this was going better than expected and she's almost tempted to let Charlie succeed on her own, but if any of her children needed help in getting a partner then it was her youngest, and she couldn't leave until Charlie had been invited on some sort of hunting excursion. She'd look into the family later.

"I am quite terrible with a bow, actually any projectile, it's quite embarrassing. I'm always so impressed with people who have skill with ranged weapons, perhaps you can teach me at some point," Charlie suggests.

Judy nearly beamed at her daughter, this was going far better than expected and perhaps she'd been far too hard on her daughter. She had always been a nervous sort., "I think that's a wonderful idea, Charlie. Perhaps it would be best if you didn't bring Hiccup, make it a bit more interesting. You know how Hiccup scares the horses." A nice horseback ride through the countryside would be romantic, and perhaps Charlie could finally find her confidence.

Charlie nodded, "T̸̼̤̋͌h̷ả̵͇̟̔t̵͕̋ ̷̝͈̚̕ŝ̶̪ọ̴̾͑ȕ̸͚̞ņ̶̽̎͜d̴̯̑͠s̷͕̒͜ ̸̼͙̄ļ̸͉̊̍i̶̭͖̍k̷̲̈́ẻ̵̘͘ ̴̤͐͊ț̵͗ĥ̸̖̭a̵̻̯̍̇ẗ̵̞̪́̚ ̶̛͈̰́c̴̼̳̽̓o̸̩̤͊u̶̺͐ͅl̸̤̔d̶̤͋̾ ̸̦͑̐b̶̳̫̍e̴͔͒ ̵̘̹̚f̸̢͇͆u̵̡̳͗ṇ̸̰͑.̷̜̿" You could hear a pin drop as everyone around her turned to look at her like she'd grown another head, Judy looking the most mortified. "Ȉ̵̝ ̷͔͜͝l̷̤̈́̄ȍ̸̼ơ̸͈͊k̸͎̾̀ ̶͇͎̚f̷̥̄ỡ̸̺r̴͎̝̓͋w̸͇̜̍a̸̬̱͋r̸̹͍̔d̶͇̈̀ ̵̞̆t̵̰̓o̴̰̩̒̕ ̷̹̖̑v̵̲̯͂i̵̡̓s̶̨̏͠i̷̻̭͆̔t̷̮̝́i̸̬͖̊̕n̴͔̽͠ĝ̴͎͝ͅ."

Judy immediately grips her daughter's arm and turns to spot a massive amused grin on Quinn's features, she should have known Quinn would pull something like this. "Excuse us."

"I̶͙̤͑ ̴̻̾t̵̠̿h̸̤̙̓̋o̴͕̒u̶̗͆̈́g̴̮̊h̵͕̦̉̑t̷̙̉͆ ̸͓͎̆̈Ỉ̸̜̻̏ ̴̨͍̃̆w̸̤̄a̸̧͙̾̾s̵̠͝ ̸̼̜̋̈́ḑ̵͔̀͌ő̶ͅi̸̪̐̚n̷̯̦͂g̴͖̊̕ ̷̺͙̉̚q̶̦̼̓ú̴͇͆i̴̜̐ṯ̸̂é̵̲͌ ̸̙̜̕w̴̱͂ḙ̵̙̀͒l̴̠͗͝l̵̯̆!"

"Charlie, it's almost time for the first dance," Judy says with a massive painted smile on her face as she yanks her daughter away. "I told you no alcohol!" She whispers loudly and forcibly to her youngest daughter. She had no idea what she was going to do to Quinn but she needed to make sure that Quinn learned a very valuable lesson.

"Í̵͕̖͌t̶̗͑ ̴̅͛͜w̵͈̑a̷͓͌̆ͅs̶̖͊͝ ̶̘̾͜b̷͔̆ȃ̷̞̿r̸̞͕͘e̶̮͑͌l̴͓̈́y̶̲̖͘ ̶͕̕ͅa̷̻̼͒̎ĺ̷̹c̵̯̺̅o̶̙̦̓h̷͉̼̾o̵̳̒l̷͈̤͗͊.̴̳͍̅̇ ̵͖̄̈́M̶̩̐ö̷̢̦́s̸̯͋t̷̨̠̿̅l̷͍͊ỵ̶̆ ̵̺̙̋d̴̦͙̎͑i̶͉̙̇̏r̴̙̖̄̐t̷͈͕̒ ̴̍̕͜ẘ̶̖̰a̷̖͒t̴̨̳̄ę̴̈́̉ṟ̶̰̀͑ ̴̼͝ä̶̠̩́̌ṇ̶̈́d̸̯̟͒ ̷̳́͒ͅm̶͕̟̃̒u̴̟̼͋̇s̷̮̀h̶̗̭̎͝r̸͐̈͜ô̵̧̈́ȯ̴̼͠ͅḿ̴̡̪̌ ̷̠̎ǰ̸̡̤ủ̵͎͙i̴̖̺̓̍c̵̔͠ͅe̷̛̱̥͠.̸̌ͅ"

Judy closed her eyes, this definitely had Quinn's hand all over it, Charlie had different stages of inebriation, and whenever she filled up on dwarven ale, then she spoke draconic. To the untrained ear, it sounded as if Charlie was possessed by a demon, it was a harsh language, throaty and loud. What was more problematic was that Charlie herself didn't realize that she had made the switch. "We were so close in finding you a suitable match," Judy hisses at her daughter. "You're nearly thirty and still haven't managed to talk to women!"

"Ȋ̸̦̰̉'̵͙̎͠m̵̯̝̐̅ ̷̢̪̂͗2̶͉̺̿5̸̺͒!̸̡̖̅͠" Charlie grumbled as she began to pull at her sleeves, they were incredibly itchy and stuffy. She really had no idea why her mother was even fretting. Things were going rather well, and she had a date. She'd managed to get a date all on her own! Really her mother should be pleased.

"Stop fussing!" Judy insists immediately but it is far too late, as Charlie grips the edge of her cuffs and pulls on them, ripping the fabric and pulling off her sleeves. Almost immediately as Judy's embarrassment grows she hears Kara's laughter rip through the room, she was going to kill Quinn. As she looks at her daughter who seems very confused as to why people were currently laughing at her.
