"Who's going to give Brains a ride then?" Gordon asked as he looked over at the scientist who was still standing next to Professor Moffat. "And since when did Brains have a girlfriend?"

Alan grinned, "oh yeah, apparently he's known her since college, but I don't think they're a couple."

"Would it be any of your business if she was?" Virgil smirked. "Because I don't think it is."

"I don't mind taking him," Scott smiled. "Oh and Gordon?"

"Yeah?"

"I want to check you for any injuries."

"I'm fine Scott."

"On the surface maybe, but you were thrown about in there."

"Blame Virgil for that."

"Hey, I helped you by hovering in a gravity well in a ship that simply didn't want to do that."

"And like I told you, Thunderbird 4 tends to operate better underwater."

Scott groaned, "can you two just stop?"

Alan laughed, "not in the mood?"

"Not for this."

Brains walked over to them, "sorry for the delay. I was uh, just saying goodbye to Moffy."

Scott smirked, "come on Brains, you can get a ride back with me. Then you can tell us about Moffy."

The birds landed back on the island and Gordon was sent to his room to rest on Scott's orders as the others were checked for any lingering effects of gravity, but with John's experience in space, he assured Grandma that they were fine.

"Scott, don't worry about me," Gordon batted his brother's hand away from his head.

"Alright you're fine, but that was a pretty big risk you took."

"Brains said the only ship we had that was suitable was Thunderbird 4."

"Yes, but since you just blew up the Collider in the end, any of us could've done that with our ships."

"But you guys were all holding each other up. I didn't have any more options," Gordon shrugged as he sat up. "Why am I the only one being sent to my room? I can hear everyone having fun."

"Fine. You can leave, I just thought you'd want to catch up on some sleep."

"I'm not Alan," Gordon leapt out of bed. "Is everyone in the lounge?"

"Yeah, Kayo has made popcorn."

"Then let's go."

The lounge was buzzing with noise from Kayo battling Alan at the pool table and Virgil composing at the piano watching them between looking down at his hands. Gordon walked over to the piano and leaned on the end of it, he smiled back at Virgil who moved down the stool.

"Are you hinting?"

Virgil smirked, "I'm not very subtle am I?" Kayo laughed as Scott startled her and Gordon squeezed next to him on the stool. "Did Scott smother you?"

"Yep, even though I told him I was fine."

"You risked a lot. If Thunderbird 4 had failed I would've gone down with you," Virgil sighed as he played.

"I trusted you not to drop me, and you didn't. You've got to have more faith in yourself, Virgil."

"Gordon is right," Scott was suddenly by the side of the piano and Kayo raised the lid. "I could tell you had the situation under control."

Virgil's fingers stilled on the keys leaving the notes to fade into the glass ceiling, "I got myself stuck in that well. That was my fault."

"Scott told me about the mission. It sounded like you definitely knew what you were doing," Kayo smiled. "Don't dwell on it, you helped those people get to safety first from the satellite crash."

"I helped too you know. If I hadn't got into the Pod, we wouldn't have had the lifting power," Alan grinned but ended up getting cuffed gently around the head by Scott.

Gordon felt Virgil's thigh move again as his brother resumed playing, "you don't believe us do you?"

"I do, it's just," Virgil chuckled. "You're embarrassing me slightly."

Kayo smirked and wrapped her arms around him, "aww, that's too bad," she remarked mockingly as he blushed. "You're just too modest. By the way, I thought we were celebrating a good rescue? Play properly."

"If you don't, I will," Scott raised an eyebrow.

"You? Don't make me laugh," Virgil stretched his fingers before launching into a fast jazz riff and Alan grinned at him.

"That's our Virgil."
