Kayo pushed the water furiously away from her as she swam in the pool, she had taken on her uncle again and the family still didn't know her full connection to him. If anyone had been listening to her comms when he revealed himself and requested that she called him her uncle, she would've been in such trouble. Kayo dived under again to flip direction and started back to the shallow end where Scott was waiting with two glasses of lemonade, she got out of the pool and forced a smile onto her troubled face as she pulled a pair of shorts on over her bikini pants.

"You look like you need it," Scott gave her a glass.

"Thanks," she took it gratefully and walked over to the swing chair towelling herself off quickly beforehand. "That was some mission today."

"I didn't do anything, you stayed on board to the very end. That was risky Kayo," Scott sat down beside her.

"I knew what I was doing. I had faith in Brains."

"I wonder what the Hood wanted?"

"I don't know, the nanotechnology I presume," she sipped her drink as Scott swung the chair gently with the heel of his foot. "At least he's stuck in space."

"That was some quick thinking," Scott laughed. "Well done."

"Thanks. The people in the hotel were to come first, but I had to get that device out of there."

"I'm not pleased about that, you almost suffocated."

"I wasn't going to suffocate, I had ages."

"No you didn't, I don't want you putting yourself in danger, the same way I wouldn't want my brothers endangering their lives."

Kayo rolled her eyes, "I'm fast Scott."

"That's not the point."

Kayo sighed, "either you let me do my job or let criminals get away free. And since you never let me go after them..."

"Kayo, I'll let you go after them when it's not dangerous. You only had the pod which can only be housed in Thunderbird 2."

"Speaking of Thunderbird 2, I need to thank Virgil for saving me," she stopped the swing with her foot and stood up. "See you later."

Scott watched her go with a sad frown and got up himself to go down to the hangars. Kayo walked up to the lounge where Virgil was sketching on the balcony and she called up.

"Virgil?"

"Yeah?"

"Come down a second."

"This better be worth it Kayo, I'm in the middle of a sketch," he vaulted over the railing and landed with a heavy thud as his boots hit the hardwood floor.

Kayo smiled as he straightened up and she hugged him tightly balancing on her tiptoes, "thanks for picking up the pod."

"Kayo, what's got into you, you're not usually this affectionate?" Virgil hugged her back.

"I wasn't sure whether or not I was going to make it," she let go but his hand was still on her back.

"You're welcome," Virgil smiled at her as she slipped from his grasp. "Has Scott given you grief yet?"

"Yeah, but he did give me a lemonade so it's not all bad."

"Well, unless you need me, I'm going to get back to the sketch."

"FAB," she walked up to the piano as Virgil resumed drawing and she started to play, fully aware that his eyes were now on her but not aware he had begun to sketch her. Everything was great with the boys, she had a real family here, but she had no idea what was going to happen when they found out her secret, luckily her thoughts were interrupted by Gordon running into the lounge.

"Thanks to you Virgil, Penny never wants to invite me into her house or anything unless I've showered. You are such a jerk!"

Kayo laughed, "what have I missed?"

Virgil snapped out of his daydream, "oh yeah. Gordon forgot to take a shower, it was faulty."

"It was not faulty, you turned off the water!" Gordon glared down at the pianist who was sitting on the steps.

"You can't prove that."

"I'll go and grab Thunderbird 2's computer recording."

"Dammit."

"Admit it then."

"It was just for a laugh Gordon, Penny still likes you I'm sure."

Kayo laughed, "sounds fun."

"Oh yeah, lots of fun. Half wet and half dry," Gordon rolled his eyes.

"We saved the hotel guests and that is what is most important," Virgil walked over to the piano. "Let's move on shall we?"

"Move on because you're in the wrong. I will get you back Virgil."

Virgil pretended not to hear as he played beside Kayo, "sorry, I didn't catch that."

Kayo laughed moving her foot off the pedal, "on the scale of who is better at pranks, Virgil wins this time."
