Kayo couldn't stop scowling as she and Scott figured out what to do about Thunderbird Shadow's engines.

"I want you to tell me what happened Kayo. How on earth did you end up being saved by the Hood?"

"Would you have preferred it if he hadn't?" Kayo asked, leaping out of her bird to check the grabs.

"Of course not. It's just he hasn't hesitated to attack you or us before, but this time he did the opposite."

"Either he saved me or I went up with the fuel canisters. Now drop it!"

"I'm only concerned Kayo, I don't want the Hood knowing too much about our organisation, he already knows too much as it is."

Kayo sighed, "at least he didn't get those tanks thanks to me."

"It's not your job," Scott leant back against Shadow. "You've gone off on your own all day today, and I want to know why?"

"Why?" Kayo snapped back as she stood up.

"You know why. I care about you too much to not be worried."

"I was fine."

"No, you weren't fine. I heard the fear in your voice and saw you panicking."

"I wasn't panicking," she threw her hands up.

"Kayo, please stop doing this all the time. You go off and break the rules. I just want you to be safe. You mean so much to me, more than you know."

"And what don't I know Scott? You've been lecturing me all day and it's becoming really irritating."

"Because I love you!" Scott blurted out.

Kayo's eyes widened, "what?"

Scott sighed. "It's ridiculous I know."

Kayo's expression softened, "you, love me?"

"Yes, I mean I always have, but recently I've just felt different around you. It just slipped out, I'm sorry. I bet this is the last place you want to be talking about this?"

Kayo stepped closer to him, "you mean you love me not as a sister, but as someone else?"

Scott bit his lip, "yeah."

Kayo chuckled. "You know I always imagined telling the person I liked in like a garden, or out having a nice meal, but I guess this will do."

"I'm sorry?"

"Scott, I really like you too, and I'm sorry about today. I just want to stop the criminals before they affect us, and..." Her lips were stopped by Scott's pressing against hers and she wrapped her arms around his neck as she dragged him back to lean against her ship still kissing, her fingers ran through his hair gently as his hands caressed her hips, she broke the embrace breathlessly and smiled. "Wow."

"This doesn't have to be if you don't want it to?"

Kayo shook her head, "no, I want it to be, but can we fix my ship before we continue?"

"Virgil should be here any minute with the components, shall we tell him?"

"He's going to find out sooner or later. They all will," Kayo stood on tiptoe again to kiss him and he kissed her back happily as Thunderbird 2 roared over ahead, and inside, the pilot couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"Oh wow."

Thunderbird 2 landed and Virgil ran over with Brains who was looking rather pink, they smiled at the two who were trying to make it look like nothing had happened.

"Well well. Don't hide, I just saw you," Virgil smirked before ducking down under Shadow with Brains to look at the engines.

"Dammit," Scott moaned. "Please don't take the piss."

"I don't care, but you two were going to get together at some point, I knew it," Virgil smiled as Brains handed him a wrench.

Kayo squeezed Scott's hand, "well more of this later. Is Shadow okay, Brains?"

"She'll be fine Kayo, the engines just need a reboot."

"FAB. You can go back to the base Scott, this won't take long."

"Are you sure?"

Kayo nodded, "I'll be fine."

"I believe you this time," he kissed her forehead. "This feels so good."

"You've got that right," Kayo ran her hands down his uniform. "See you soon."

"Okay, can you guys stop until you've got some privacy?" Virgil grinned.

"Alright alright, I'm going," Scott kissed her again then went back to Thunderbird 1.

"Awh. I'm so happy for you K," Virgil got up as Brains continued to fix the engines.

"Thanks, Virgil. It feels weird, but I hope it doesn't cause any problems at home."

Virgil shook his head, "you'll only break Alan's heart."

Kayo chuckled. "I know, but that was never going to happen."

"She should fly fine now Kayo, but we can take Shadow with us if you'd uh prefer?"

Kayo pondered, "actually I would. I'd prefer if she got a better examination at home."

Virgil nodded, "kinda wishing you had stayed with Scott now I bet?"

"Meanie. You two thought of that to stop me going with him," Kayo laughed, no longer bothered by the Hood or anything.

The group met up in the lounge and everyone immediately noticed Scott and Kayo snuggled up with each other on one sofa, but Gordon was the one who broke the silence.

"I guess I'll be the one to ask, are you two dating?"

Scott nodded, "yes we are, she's not related so it's fine."

"If you say so."

"He does say so," Kayo placed her hand on his knee.

"Fine fine, it's going to take some getting used to though."

"I'll say," John pouted.

"If anyone has a problem say so now, or else can we move on?" Kayo looked around at them all, failing to see John scowl. "Good."
